I approached the orphanage I once lived in, wondering what could ignite such passionate hate towards me, my interactions with the matron were short and to the point. We never had any problems, which is why I was curious as to why… Why did she hate me?

A few possible theories came to mind, she could one be a spy, two… I unknowingly did something to earn her hate, or three she was just crazy and hated children in general.

"Raiden?" One of the many kids in the orphanage approached me, as I entered the terrain.

"Hey… you," I had no idea who he was.

"It's Tomen, we… we used to play ninjas a year before you entered the academy," Tomen who I know knew his name chuckled.

"Oh, hi… not to sound rude, but I came here to see the matron," I sighed.

"Oh, sure follow me," Tomen nodded, running towards the building.

As I followed Tomen, something didn't feel right, the atmosphere of the entire orphanage felt off, I didn't like it. It was… slightly disturbing, but not in a threatening way, it was hard to explain. "Here we are!" Tomen smiled, pointing to the door leading to the Matron's office.

"Thanks," I thanked him, opening the door. Inside, the Matron was sitting on her high chair, writing over an old parchment, with a cup of wine in her free hand.

"If you are looking for a place to stay, I already informed you years ago, that after graduation you were no longer my problem," The Matron informed without even looking at me. Her tone condescending, and rather demeaning.

"Yeah, you did," I nodded, seeing her title. Her level, everything, and nothing was out of the ordinary, [Mora - LV 1]

"Then, why are you here wasting my time, Raiden?" The Matron sighed, rubbing her temples while putting the parchment down on the table, "My time it's short as it is, so please… go straight point,"

"Very well," I sighed, "Why do you hate me?" I asked, doing as she had told me. Going straight to the point, might as well humor her.

"This… is why you are wasting my time?" The Matron rolled her eyes, "I don't hate you, I don't like you, I don't have any particular feelings for you," her body posture, her breathing… She was lying, intriguing.

"Hm, you are a decent liar," I chuckled, taking a seat, "Now… How about we try the truth? Some say it's liberating,"

"Leave my office now," The Matron ordered, with a tone of finality.

"I will," I grinned, "As soon as I get my answer… Come on, it's not that hard, you hate me, and that's okay, I just want to know why… I don't recall wronging you,"

"You want to know why I hate you?!" The Matron hissed, her hands closing so tight the pen in her hand broke in half. "You were a normal kid, a good one at that… and then, you decided to become a murderer, a remorseless killer… without even consulting me,"

"You hate me… because I became a ninja?" I asked in befuddlement, her reason was… sooo… sooooo stupid.

"Oh no, I hate you for what happened next," The Matron hissed, her face red in pure anger, looking as if it was about to explode, "Your… sinful path, created a road to hell for the rest of the kids," oh great, a religiously crazy bitch… "You were the first one… and soon, many followed your example… and because of you, many of my innocent children turned into sinful creatures that feast in carnage!"

"Hmm, not the answer I was expecting, but somehow it's more alarming than what I was expecting… and I was expecting you to be a spy," I sighed, "Alright it's obvious you can't run an orphanage… or work with kids, or do anything related to human relationships, so I will go ahead and talk with the Hokage to have you reassigned to… I don't know, Konoha's Asylum? I'll figure that out on the way to his office,"

"No, you won't," The Matron hissed, as she lunged at me armed with a small but sharp letter opener.

With sight, I turned around and caught her wrist throwing her into the wooden floor of the orphanage, subduing her movements with a lock, "So… what exactly did you think was going to happen?" I asked her.

"I must purify the children! They won't become monsters! I won't let it!" She screamed as she trashed around violently to no avail, even with a single finger her movements were futile.

"Here I came expecting something, deeper… and what I got? Plain crazy," I chuckled, knocking her out with a chop to the neck, she was truly not meant to take care of anyone.

A few minutes later, I was in Hiruzen's office, telling him what had happened, which surprised him a bit. "I can't believe she was telling the kids we were monsters… or that she thought we were,"

"Not sure if she told the kids that, they didn't seem afraid of me when I got there, but regardless of her hate towards us, it's more than obvious she is not fit to teach kids anything…" I sighed, "I mean… she has a point, we are killers… but she shouldn't have let her judgment cloud her mind to such extend,"

"Indeed," Hiruzen nodded, "Attacking a Shinobi of the leaf is considered treason,"

"Don't be too harsh on her, in all honesty, I think she needs professional help," I chuckled, "Her behavior was that of a crazy person, maybe find a place for her in the local Asylum, I heard the Yamanaka do wonders with those poor people, heck some of them even go back to their normal lives,"

"I suppose that would be a viable solution," Hiruzen nodded.

"Oh, before I leave… don't let her have contact with any kids, her delusion can morph into a more… dangerous one, today she wants to stop kids from becoming ninja by telling them we are monster, tomorrow she might decide its easier to kill them so that they don't become one of us," with that, I flickered back to my house, ready to see how my clones had progressed with the professions.
