15 Future Planning (Combat)

"I also want to let you know that you will start to get taijutsu lessons from a trainer from within the clan as well, Shiran. From my extensive knowledge, I think you would be best suited for our Uzumaki Blitzchain Style. Of course, if you want to, you can try out the other styles, but this one will help take advantage of your speed."

I nodded at this, thinking it could be worth dipping into and taking things from other styles as well.

Although I don't really plan on making taijutsu the most prominent thing in my arsenal, or even second or third, it wouldn't hurt to be reliable in that certain field.

"Dad, I have a question. What is the Blitzchain Style, and what are the other styles you're talking about?"

This part did baffle me; I always thought that each clan only really had one taijutsu style they taught and used.

"Well, the Blitzchain style is known for taking advantage of the user's natural style and also the use of their adamantine chains to create havoc for multiple people on the battlefield. Essentially, with the use of the chains coming out of both your back and ribs, they can be used as extra limbs to strike, block, and push off, all of which allows you to blitz through a lot of people on the battlefield.

As for the other styles, we have the Chainfist, which has a heavy emphasis on natural strength, Shadow Waltz, which puts a heavy emphasis on evasion and feint in hand-to-hand combat, and there's also the Sealbinding one as well, which uses our adamantine chains to place seals all over the battlefield and opponents."

As I sat on my bed thinking about the question my dad posed to me, I started to solidify what kind of ninja I'll be, both in my mind and to the other people in the ninja world.

'I've already kind of thought about what path of combat I want to go down. Between the gifts that have been given to me and my natural aptitudes, I want to be a fast ninja who focuses on ninjutsu. I want to have kenjutsu interweaved into my style with the sealing arts also playing a part, especially in hand-to-hand combat.

To me, picking these options is all pretty easy, all for their own reasons. When you're fast, you always have the option to escape if the confrontation is not going the way that you like. On top of that, if you're fast enough to get the first hit off and dictate the flow of the fight, you've already won half of the fight.

Between my kekkei genkai and knowledge of jutsus, I think it would be foolish not to take advantage of that. In addition, if you get your hand sign speed faster and possibly cut down on the number of seals needed to launch a jutsu, you can get rid of the downsides of a pure ninjutsu fight.

Kenjutsu is a thing that is focused on a lot in the Uzumaki Clan, on top of the fact that it's a very precise ninja field that can easily kill multiple ninjas very fast. I mean, just look at the way Sakumo was praised after the Second War for his sword techniques.

Lastly, being from the Uzumaki Clan, sealing is literally in our blood, so it's a no-brainer to take it up in one regard, and I think the best way to utilize it is to supplement both hand-to-hand and ninjutsu combat.'

As I sat thinking about that, the only thing that came to my mind was somehow making myself unique from everyone else. Every S-Rank ninja had their own special jutsu/power/kekkei genkai that set them apart, but what should mine be?

'Ah, who cares, I'm still way far off from that point anyways, when we get there I'll start to seriously think about it.'

I stopped after thinking about that last thought. 'The one thing I do want to see if I can do is recreate a breathing style like what Demon Slayer had. I mean, I'm in a world of chakra with a brain literally tied to ninjutsu, so maybe it's not too much of a stretch to connect the two somehow. Maybe I could create a special ANBU unit of people who use breathing styles. If it's not too hard to teach them and if I can, in fact, invent how to make breathing styles.'

'I'd also have to think about creating different seals made for supplementing the use of ninjutsu and hand-to-hand combat in the future as well. I know seal imprints are a thing in this world because my dad has shown them to me before after I asked him about them.

This concept makes using seals in combat a lot more practical because you just have to channel chakra through the imprint on your hand and it automatically will put your seal on other things. The question is what kind of seals would help?

Possibly a seal that can distort the airwaves around the user causing an optical illusion to happen, Explosives and gravity seals would work well here. Impact seals that are based on gravity seals that instead of a prolonged effect, wear off after a couple of seconds, in which the person flies away from the extreme force of gravity applied. There are so many that could be made, I can't wait to start learning the intricacies of all these things.'

"Man Shin, your dad never misses with his sushi; it's always spot on when we come to eat here." I marveled at the always perfectly made sushi on the plate before me.

Shin scratched the back of his head bashfully, looking away and mumbling that it wasn't that good underneath his breath.

I just shook my head and smiled at Shin, knowing that he was happy on the inside hearing the praise.

"So what's your plan for after you unlock your chakra? It should be coming up in a couple of weeks, right?" I asked, genuinely curious about how the Mori clan worked.

"Well, once I get my chakra unlocked, we'll know for sure if I inherited our clan kekkei genkai. Considering around 38% of our ninja population in the clan unlocks it, I'd say I have a decent chance at getting it when we unlock my chakra.

If that does happen, my training will be pushed more toward mastering that aspect of the ninja field. Training only really gets serious when our clansmen turn around 6-7 years old; this way they can mature before the responsibility falls to them."

"I hope you get the bloodline of your clan; we could experiment and bounce ideas off each other for different jutsus and push each other to go to higher heights."

Shin smiled and had a hint of appreciation in his eyes at the genuine hope for a stronger future.

*BOOM*

We both whipped our heads towards the door and sweatdropped, seeing the boisterous black-haired midget, Miki, come into the store.

"Miki, don't come barging in here, even if we spend a decent amount of time here!" I started scolding as she pretended to ignore me but couldn't hide the smirk on her face.
