3 - 3 - Danger

Ryo opened his eyes to a dimly lit cave where a man and a woman were present.

The man then said, "Akemi, it's a boy."

Akemi responded, "Oh, Takashi, let me hold him."

Takashi then handed the baby over to his mother.

Ryo was confused. 'Why were these people so big?' He curiously looked around, and then his gaze wandered to his body, and he realized that they weren't big; he was just a baby.

He thought to himself, 'This is great. How am I supposed to protect myself as a child?'

He then looked up at his new mother, seeing how caring she was and how she looked at him with love, and thought to himself, 'I guess this might not be so bad.'

Ryo had never had a family in his previous life. He had grown up as an orphan his entire life until he was old enough to move out and finally live on his own.

Takashi then asked, "Why isn't he crying? Shouldn't he be crying?"

Akemi then said, "There's nothing to worry about; this occasionally happens. Besides, our son was born to be a brave ninja of the Uchiha clan."

Takashi nodded his head to that and said, "So, what should we name him?"

Akemi thought for a moment then said, "I think we should name him after my distant uncle, Izuna Uchiha."

Takashi was surprised, thought for a moment, then said, "Are you sure naming him after Madara's brother is the best thing for our son?"

Akemi then said, "Don't worry, honey. Izuna wasn't like his brother, and the people of Konoha will know that. They shouldn't give him a hard time, and even if they do, so what? He will grow up to be a strong and independent person. Why would he care what some random people think?"

Ryo, or now Izuna, thought to himself, 'It looks like I really was born in the Uchiha clan.' He sighed in relief at the confirmation.

As the two parents were lovingly gazing upon their new and only son, Takashi suddenly looked up and said with urgency, "They found us. I knew this was a terrible idea. How could they make you go on a mission being eight months pregnant?" They had been chased all the way here from the Hidden Sand Village and were now running low on chakra. "I swear if anything happens to you or Izuna, I'll kill Danzo myself for making you take this mission."

Izuna was confused and worried. He had no clue what was going on, but from the sound of it, it wasn't good. Not only did it look like Danzo was out for the Uchihas, but they seemed to be in more immediate danger.

Takashi then said to Akemi, "Ok, this is the plan. You will take Izuna and run while I hold them off."

They were currently in a cave near the Hidden Rain Village, being chased down by ninjas from Sunagakure.

Akemi then said, "No, if I do that, I'll be leaving you to die."

Takashi then said, "Better just me than all three of us." His eyes then flashed red. "I've got my Mangekyo. I'd rather not have to show it off so that I won't be targeted, but if I have to, I will."

He knew that if word got out that he was in possession of a Mangekyo Sharingan, he would be targeted by all the villages, including the possibility of his own.

Akemi quickly thought the plan over and finally said, "Ok, but don't be long. As soon as you can, just flee."

Takashi then nodded his head and kissed both his wife, Akemi, and his son, Izuna, on the forehead before the two got up, opened the cave, and walked out.
