Mission Failed

Lady Chiyo didn't like Gaara keeping something from her and especially when it's about a shinobi from another village. She looked at Baki who gulped down his saliva and hesitated a little but said "Elder Chiyo the kid had an eye below his one eye and the dojutsu was Ketsuryugan."

"A Ketsuryugan? The one which is black and red and allows a person to enhance their genjutsu as well as have some amount of control over iron-intensive liquids like blood?" Lady Chiyo asked. As an elder and someone from the previous generation, she had heard an awful lot about this eye.

Baki nodded and said "Yes…but the eye appeared to be black and white instead of red and black. I don't know what Yami did but he was able to explode individual body parts of Hidan from the inside out."

Lady Chiyo narrowed her eyes and turned toward Gaara "I know that you have gotten too close to the hidden leaf but don't forget that they are the ones who killed my son and daughter-in-law. They are not to be trusted and now taking help from a kid of their village, we are showing our people how weak we truly are." Chiyo scolded Gaara in a low voice. They were still in a room of Patients so she didn't want to raise her voice much but the sternness in her voice was enough to convey her message properly.

Gaara sighed and said "As I told you him being here is what helped us avoid any kind of casualty and I don't think we would be able to handle 4 Akatsuki members…so for now I am thankful for the prior warning given by Yami."

Ebizo saw that Gaara wasn't backing down either so he decided to butt in and said "What's happened is in the past now. Let's focus on healing them. I will stay here with Chiyo while you two go out and make sure the village is completely protected."

Baki and Gaara nodded and then left the room. As they exited the hospital Baki stopped and bowed to Gaara as he said "Lord Kazekage, I apologize for telling Elder Chiyo about Yami's third eye even when you didn't want to."

"I understand why you did what you did and to be honest Yami isn't someone even the hidden leaf has any control over. I am sure you must have known this already." Gaara said.

Baki nodded and said "I do Lord Kazekage, the number of people he killed in the hidden mist and the power he showed today. I don't think he is someone who can follow orders. I hope the backup from the hidden leaf arrives by tomorrow morning or else the way Elder Chiyo and Yami Uchiha are going at each other, there might be a confrontation soon, and I…" Baki was saying but he stopped and looked down at the ground.

"And you what?" Gaara asked to which Baki replied "And I don't want to see Lady Chiyo die."

Akatsuki HQ (Hidden Rain) same time.

A orange-haired man wearing the Akatsuki cloak was standing on top of a ledge of a building that was shaped like a big tongue. It was pouring and the entire area around him was silent. The man had purple eyes with concentric circles inside them and had many piercings on his face that were visible.

"Why don't you come in now? I am sure they are done with it by now." A women's voice came from inside the building. With the sound of her feet tapping she came out from the shadows. She was a beautiful young woman with no expression on her face. It was as if someone had sucked out all kinds of feelings from inside her and only left a husk. She had orange eyes and blue hair with a flower made of paper tucked in her hair.

Listening to the woman's voice the man turned around and said "It has finally started. It won't be long before we get what we desire." The man's voice itself held no emotions at all. He walked on the metal ledge and came back inside the building.

"Konan, where is he?" the man asked to which the woman said "He is waiting for the news as well. I am sure that the process will be started in a few hours."

As they were walking, they entered a big room that had many wooden stumps on it. On one end of the room was a man with an Akatsuki hoodie and an orange mask.

The mask only had one hole near the eye and it also had a pattern where the lines would enter from the edge of the mask and then slowly reach the hole on the mask while rotating around the entire mask. He was none other than Obito who Konan and Nagato thought of as Madara

The man in the mask looked at the two of them and said in a squeaky voice "Ohh The bosses are here."

"Why are you here waiting on the news with us? You could just go there using your space jutsu." Konan asked. She didn't understand why the one she and Pain knew as Madara would act like a child and a newbie to the Akatsuki.

"Come on both of you…what is the use of creating the Akatsuki if I do everything by myself…hehe" Obito said.

Konan looked at Pain and said "There is no one even in the 5 great villages who would stand a chance against us." She said with confidence but then she heard a voice.

"I wouldn't say that after what I just saw in the hidden sand." A creepy alovera-shaped zetsu appeared from the ground and said.

Obito looked at Zetsu and asked "What do you mean?" this time his voice wasn't childish as before but a heavy one.

"The mission failed." Zetsu said to which even the stone-faced Konan frowned and asked "How is that even possible? I thought I made it clear to Sasori to take Hidan and Kakuzu with them as well."

"I thought Sasori wasn't the kind of person to let his ego cloud his judgment. I guess I must have thought wrong." Obito said in a little annoyed tone. He had brought himself to this point by judging people properly and making use of them. He didn't think Sasori to be the kind of guy to ignore orders when it mattered.

Zetsu shook his head and said "Oh…you didn't think wrong about him. He did take Hidan and Kakuzu with him to the hidden sand and all 4 of them fought against the hidden sand but one person was enough to put all the efforts in vain."

"4 Akatsuki members went against the weakest hidden village and still lost? Who could be strong enough to put up a fight?" Konan asked.

"Yami Uchiha…the Genjutsu demon" Zetsu said. This wasn't the first time Pain and the others were hearing about Yami but they didn't think that he would come in their way so early in their plan nor that he was capable of even doing so.

"He hasn't been seen by anyone for the past 2 years now. And he is still a kid…are you saying that he went toe to toe with someone from our organization?" Konan asked to which zetsu nodded and replied "Yes…I don't know much of it as I kept my distance from the entire fight but I saw him burning Kakuzu badly enough that Kakuzu had to go on the back foot. He also exploded Hidan into multiple pieces."

Obito walked closer to Zetsu and said "Now this is interesting…I never thought that kid was capable of this. It's a shame that Itachi didn't survive long enough to see this happen."

"Hidan is someone whose body is indestructible so he won't die…I am sure he was able to get back in one piece" Konan said to which Zetsu replied "He did but some old woman from the hidden sand put a seal on him and wrapped him in a white tape. Hidan is now in the hidden sand's custody. The other 3 escaped without getting their hands on Gaara or the tailed beast inside him."

"I didn't think we would face any problems until we have to deal with the 8 and 9 tails." Pain said in a stoic tone. He didn't even bother paying attention to the captures of the 1 tailed beast because he was confident in his organization to handle it.

Konan placed her hand on Pain's shoulder and said "You don't need to worry about this. I will handle it and make sure that we don't face problems for the other tailed beats."

She then looked at Obito and said "I will personally go and put an end to the kid before he becomes a problem for us."

Obito shook his head and said "No…I have some good use for that kid. For now, ignore the 1 tails and focus on the ones that are not protected by anyone from the great villages."
