1 TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE

Saito woke up with a start, breathing as if he'd just completed an hour long marathon. He felt countless drops of perspiration on his frame, causing his shirt to cling to his body uncomfortably. 'where am I?' was the thought that ran through his head as he looked around, seeing that he was in some old looking room, it frustrated him since he had no recollection of ever arriving here did he somehow get too drunk to remember? But he'd never drunk in his life and could never see himself doing that, so he crossed that option out immediately.

All Saito recalled was him finally receiving a promotion from being a personnel supervisor to staff director at ZAXA, a highly respected space, and genetics researching station, and then heading home to celebrate as this was an immense accomplishment since he was only 27 whilst most directors were older than 50, he ate his favorite snacks then proceeded to sleep.

Maybe he got kidnapped. It wouldn't be implausible to come to this resolution. Perhaps some of his co-workers were resentful of his promotion and chose to do this as some form of vengeance. "guess you really can't have it al-" huh? This wasn't his voice or his language. He sounded like an infant. He immediately stood up from his bed, which was just a futon. Saito almost lost his balance. It was strange his height was wrong. In shock, he fearfully looked down at his hands.

Saito trembled as he came to an understanding of his situation, which shouldn't even be remotely possible. Did he reincarnate, wait? No reincarnation is dying and being reborn, so this must be transmigration. He was no stranger to that concept as he spent most of his free time reading stories that heavily included them, but the question that remained was where was he?

"I don't have the memories of this body yet, I need to find out right now, with my luck I hope I'm not in berserk or worse attack on titan." he voiced to himself, still finding his unfamiliar voice weird.

Saito carefully balanced his steps as he reached the room's door and carefully opened it, he looked and saw a hallway with another room. 'must be his new parents' Saito softly went down the stairs. Upon reaching the living room, he saw that the wall was adorned with a large Uchiha cloth. Looks like he was in the Naruto world, but he continued on his journey. He quietly opened up the door, shocked by how clean the air was. He couldn't help but take a deep breath.

He could see the Hokage mountain filled with the faces of the first, second, third, and fourth Hokage. It wasn't the worst era to be in, but he'd have to somehow find a way to live through the Uchiha massacre. How old was he? Was he Itachi's age or Naruto's? He had more questions that needed answering, but those could wait. From his memories of the anime, he knew there was a guarded gate that'd prohibit him from exploring the entire village, so Saito walked around the Uchiha compound, still surprised at everything the night sky nearly took his breath away.

After a few minutes, he smuggled himself back home. He was a bit euphoric as he realized the truth of the situation. "if I survive the future dangers I could become the strongest with the usage of my future knowledge, even if I don't reach my desired strength I won't even need to do much since Naruto and Sasuke will be able to fix everything"

He spent almost an hour planning for the future. He looked around his room for a notebook once he found one he began writing. "awaken the Sharingan as soon as possible. I must feel extreme joy, sadness, or anger - make sure to take as much sharingans as possible during the massacre -try to achieve the eight gates - learn to create jutsus -try to empower my cells I don't want to use another man's cells for power so I'll use my own-graduate early and be presumed a genius to get in sarutobi's good books (negatives include the chance of Danzo taking you into root)-befriend Itachi or Sasuke."

Saito had written it in English, so only he knew its contents. Those were his goals, and he'd make sure to accomplish them, or else his chances of survival looked slim.
