Somewhere, in a place? Location? Country? Planet? World? Dimension? Realm? None knew for sure.

An old man with strange eyes and clothes was sitting in the air, with many black flying orbs below him.

His face was wrinkled, indicating his age, and he had two small horns protruding from either side of his forehead.

Although he was sitting there, his eyes were peering through all walls and obstacles, observing another place far away, unreachable even for the casual anybody.

Suddenly his expression changed as the water below him rippled rhythmically, he was first surprised and then interested as he just caught sight of something unusual even from the perspective of someone like him who had lived for thousands of years... well, not really living anymore.

"How curious" He muttered as he watched different events unfold before his eyes with an intrigued smile.

"A Soul breaching through the walls of dimensions and reality to take home in the body of a recently dead child..." He muttered with interest. "This is the first time in all my years observing the living world seeing such a thing, and I wonder...."

"What would be the consequence of such happenstance?" He voiced as he wondered if he should do something about it.

"Nevermind." He shook his head "My time has passed, it is no longer my place to interfere with the living world."

"But I will be sure to keep an eye on him... Perhaps, he will be able to show me a different future."

(scene change)

Hidden Leaf Village.

Within one of the many houses in the village was sleeping a youngster with hair as black as night, his expression was tranquil but suddenly he opened his abruptly opened his eyes showing Iris as blue as the ocean.

Quickly pushing his blanket aside, he sat down but strangely enough he did nothing else after that. For several minutes he seemed to be in a trance as he didn't budge a millimeter from his current position, his eyes were unfocused and his breathing a little too even.

After another half an hour, he seemed to slowly come back to himself.

Sigh!

He exclaimed before falling down on his back, coming to terms with his current situation. Althought his body just slept for eight hours, he felt really tired for some reason.

"Hayato Shiranui..." He slowly muttered his new name. "To think that I would reincarnate or more like transmigrate into a new body... how strange." Although he said so, he already came to terms with the situation.

"Moreover, I have access to all the memories stocked in this body... the past owner seems to have died from a heart attack." he quickly came to the conclusion.

"Grief is the price we pay for love" Was a quote the new Hayato liked in his past life. It was also something he could resonate with since he very much experienced its meaning.

"The past owner of this body experienced a heart attack after getting a little too emotional over the death of his mover last night." Said mother died a month ago.

"He did his best to be strong and live with it, but all the bottled-up emotions resurfaced last night... and it ended up being too much for him to bear. That and the fact that he was a mama boy, an outcast, talked rarely, and had trouble expressing himself..."

sight...

The new Hayato couldn't help but feel pity toward the young child, it was understandable.

Even in this world ruled by strength, not all were cut to be Ninja.

"May you rest easy in grace and love... child, I hope you reunite with your mother on the other side."

Wait... was there something like this in this world to begin with? He wasn't sure since he didn't really watch Naruto that much and it's been years.

"Hm?" He suddenly noticed something at the top left corner of his eyes, it was a percentage that was at [98%]

"Don't tell me...?" He wondered as his heartbeat noticeably accelerated in anticipation.

Thus he waited as minutes passed and soon enough it happened.

[100%]

[The world's structures and laws have been analyzed.]

[The system has been actualized and is now operational.]

[Do you wish to bond with the system?] [Yes/No]

Looking at this, he didn't hurry... he first thought about it for a moment and sorted out the possible consequences of accepting to bond with the system.

After weighing the pros and the cons from his "perspective" he promptly clicked on yes.

[Bonding... Bondage successful.]

[Loading the Golden Cards... Successful.]

Directly after, Hayato saw the world fade away as all around him was nothing but black, he couldn't see anything at all except... five poker cards seized Golden Cards flying in front of him in an orderly fashion. But considering he could still feel the bed below him, he concluded that it was just his vision that was being tampered with.

Those cards were back to him, and he couldn't make out whatever they could be.

[Please choose a Golden Card.]

[Note: Each of those Golden Cards have been specially generated in accordance with your current situation. They all have the potential to assist you in one way or another.]

"I see." Since he was not one to overreact most of the time and also had an idea of what was happening already, he didn't deem it necessary to think too much in this situation.

This was obviously a kind of Gacha except all of the possible prizes have the potential to be useful so he didn't really need to worry since it was all up to luck anyway.

Furthermore, he was quite confident in his luck considering he got all five stars in Genshin in his past life. To top it off, it was all fifty-fifty.

So with that in mind, he picked a random one with his right hand and turned it around. What he saw was... nothing, yes there was nothing on it, no picture, no word, it was just a golden card.

[You have chosen: Pancosmic Loner's Stealth.]

And... Everything came back to normal, he was once again back in his room and could see properly once again. That's why he could see what was currently before his eyes.

Attribute Collector

Pancosmic loner's stealth

.

Well, the stats were pretty self-explanatory, but he was pretty curious about the skills though, it seemed that there was no such indication as levels... which means he won't probably be able to level them up or something similar.

Nonetheless, he first clicked on Attribute Collector in order to see its explanations.

Attribute Collector: Give the owner the ability to pick up attributes from other beings in order to enhance his own. This Skill is passive in nature.

[Note: Passive means that it requires no cost to use.]

That explanation wasn't really detailed but it was good enough, it was up to him to experience it, research it, and see how it goes.

Now the second one, it was the one he obtained from the Golden Card he choose earlier.

Pancosmic loner's stealth: allows its user to physically blend in with their surroundings and hide all traces of their presence, essentially turning themselves both physically and chakra-wise invisible. Due to its nature, it will make the other beings subconsciously ignore the user's existence and all of his actions. Moreover, this skill is more often than not used unconsciously and subconsciously, thus it's necessary for its user to consciously regulate it. This skill is passive in nature.

[Note: It's possible to make this skill useless with some forms of unconventional means.]

OverPowered.

That was the only world that came to his mind. When the System said that the price obtained will indubitably provide assistance to him in his current situation this was what it meant.

With this skill, his safety was guaranteed as long as he was careful enough, not only that this was the perfect skill for any assassin or Ninja. This skill was so OP that it could be considered a strong enough cheat by itself, but not only that he also has a system.

As for the "unconventionals means" it was probably talking about Dojutsu like the Byakugan that had all kinds of vision...

Even then, his future was very much guaranteed to be successful as long as he was not braindead.

"System-related matters aside for now..." His current identity was rather... special if you will.

The young boy Hayato never saw his father while his mother died weeks ago, so now you would wonder who was his legal guardian.

Well, it was no other than. "Genma Shiranui." he voiced.

Yes, the same Genma that is a member of the Hokage Guard Platoon. His mother was his sister and since even he didn't know of Hayato's father, he ended up being the one having to take care of the child after the mother's death.

Well not really take care of, since Kids in this world matured much faster than normal, Hayato could take care of himself most of the time so Genma just made sure to come to see him at least three to four times a week. Checking on him and making sure everything was ok.

Yes "come" since he was still living in his mother's house, house that was now pretty much his. Still, he was a good uncle.

Thought that didn't help the boy from dying of sadness. He couldn't say it was his fault though since his job was... objectively speaking a really important one.

"I have to take a shower... and a cold one at that."

With that said, he got up and removed his clothes before entering the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror, he was not surprised to see a completely unfamiliar appearance.

Looking at himself for a solid five minutes, he sighed and went about his business, thoroughly washing himself clean. Then he brushed his teeth and dried himself.

Taking hold of another set of clothes he wore them, left his room, and started walking toward the kitchen by memory.

Preparing himself some quick ramen to eat, he ended up leaving his house and finding himself in the streets of the village.

"This is really surreal." he lowly muttered as walked down the street looking left and right.

Never could he have imagined that he would die at the age of forty and end up here, in a world, he very much thought fictional.

As he watched the buzzing street of the village of the hidden leaf, civilians coming left and right, sellers doing their best to get rid of their goods with a price. Hayato, a little too immersed ended up walking quite a bit.

"I should have listened to my friend when he told me to rewatch Naruto with him but no, Idiot I am, I rewatched bleach instead." Given that it had been years since he watched it, his memory of it was everything except clear and precise.

"Anyway.. how did it go already? Yes, it was..."

"Make the best use of what you have. Waste no time with wishes and regrets." Those numerous quotes I learned really do help sometimes.

"hm... what should I do?" He wondered since he was already outside, he of course didn't want to go back home already, there was nothing to do at home anyway, and he'd rather just walk around aimlessly for a while.

"Let's try to figure out what my first skill truly does." With that in mind, he started walking in a certain direction. He was not really worried for now, the official start of the plot was far off since from his memory he could tell that it had only been five years after the Kyubi incident. So Naruto's birth.

He wanted to go to a certain place he had in mind, but since he wasn't in a hurry he walked at his leisure. Not even realizing that strangely enough, nobody seemed to notice his existence at all.

One could just say that they did but just choose to ignore him, however truth was, his second skill was at play and he didn't really notice it since its use was... unconscious.

...

(Scene Change)

The old man kept an eye on the young boy now known as Hayato and observed his Incoming with a smile. Remembering something, his smile grew even wider as he spoke.

"Although I won't interfere with the living, making sure that the boy meets his mother in the pure land is well within my capability, and rightfully so."
