5 Chapter .5 ...O-Onee-Chan

When I woke up in the morning, I was greeted by the sight of the twins peacefully sleeping under my blanket once again. Today is the day I'll be stepping into the Ninja world. How will this change me, will those changes be for good...or will I turn into one of those a-holes? Only time will tell.

Thinking so, I decided to wake up the twins as well because they would be going with me to the Aoki's residence. After waking the kids up, I went to the washroom and completed my daily routines, and had to help the kids as well, since they are also coming along.

After that, we all ate breakfast and got ready to go, and waited for Aunt Ayame to be ready. By the time we left the house, it was already 10 am.

Seeing me fidgeting, Aunt Ayame asked, "Why are you so nervous?" It is an important day for me, it will be like sink or swim, without their help, I'll have to improvise a lot. I already have an idea of what path to training I'm going to take, it's just harder.

I just slapped both cheeks to snap out of it and focus on what's ahead. "It's nothing, just taking a big step in life, nothing to worry about." Aunt Ayame just chuckled at that. While we were talking, I could already see Aoki's residence. Although they are civilians too, their extensive knowledge about 'sealing' makes them as important as any Uzumaki, well, at least that's all I know.

I only have this knowledge because they are neighbors; my aunt and uncle always talk about them, and with my knowledge, I was able to notice things that they didn't know.

Well, here we are finally. Haruto was holding Aunt Ayame's finger as we entered the residence, and Aoi was holding my finger. There was a big garden managed beautifully; it was breathtaking, leaving even the kids in amazement. This was their first time being here after all.

I haven't seen any of the residents living here, at least I can't remember if I ever did even from my memory collection. Oh well, I'll be seeing them soon enough. Speaking of which, we just entered the shop. Calling it a shop was an understatement; it was like a five-star hotel.

There I saw two beautiful assistants who were talking to customers, and I could see said customers were paying them for their purchase. They were both wearing Japanese 'kimonos.' One on the right side was wearing a white kimono with yellow flowers on it, and the 'sash' was also yellow with white flowers on it. With her clear milky skin, she looked beautiful. The second girl on the left was wearing a blue-colored kimono with pink and white flowers, and her sash was the same color as her kimono. Their age should be about sixteen; they also looked like they were twins as well.

'But man, just look at those beautifully shaped mounds, they are perfect on them,' *ahem*....I mean their eyes...yes, I mean eyes are beautiful. I'm pretty sure I have a blush on my face. "Ara, if it isn't Lee-kun, anything to your liking?" She knew where I was looking, but what kind of man I'd be if I admit that?

"This is a beautiful shop; I admire the artwork being done, it is so breathtaking." I just answered her absent-mindedly. When I came to my senses, I had just gotten Frozen. Not because of what I just said, ..no, I froze at what I just saw. It was Doctor Uzumi whom I met in the hospital.

"Y-You are the kind doctor I m-met in the hospital ... H-How are you here?"

"Thank you, and this is my shop."

"But you work at the hospital..."

"And also manage my shop at home."

"..."

While I was stupefied, my aunt and Doctor Uzumi just laughed at my antics. It took me five minutes to come to my senses. By then, we were sitting around very rich-looking tableware and served tea in an expensive tea set. The kids had their hands full of candies. Looking around, everything looked like ...Tony Stark is here.

"I ...ah, Uzumi-Sama thank you very much for taking care of me in the hospital, I'm grateful for that." I stood up and bowed my head in respect because she exuded the aura of seniority, it meant she was not just any doctor but a senior Doctor.

"Ara, no need to be too serious; we practically are neighbors, I'm good friends with your Aunt so you may as well call us a family. So no need to call me 'sama' anymore, just think of me as your new Aunt ...or better yet... call me Uzumi-Chan." She blushed at that while putting a finger on her lips trying to look cute.

"..."

"....Onee-chan?"

"...."

I deadpanned at that, she was definitely getting a kick out of it. But I could not say a thing.

""I'll call you Onee-chan,"" the twins said enthusiastically.

"Of course you can, here have some candies," she smiled at them.

...she was definitely doing this on purpose. Well, now I only hope she accepts my 'Resume', so I can start working. So I summoned all the courage and said, "...Uzumi-S-San" ...my face was red as a tomato.

"That's better, I suppose."

They just chuckled at that; apparently, she wasn't done, so I tried to speed things up and looked at Aunt Ayame meaningfully trying to hide my embarrassment.

"Oh if it is about your 'resume' she already read that yesterday; she was at our house after dinner while you were playing with the kids." ...my mouth just opened at that statement. She came home and already read my "resume."

"Oh yes, it is beautifully written the way you represented yourself, good job. I don't think anyone does that here, smart move. I'm impressed with your preparation so as a bonus I will not just hire you; I will even help you with your training." I was so happy to hear that, so my journey to youthful ninja finally began.

I was happy beyond belief; I was dancing with joy inside, and then the thought came to mind: how did she know I was planning to get some pointers as well?

Reading my thoughts, she just said, "I heard you talking at dinner and your training plans as well, and I'm willing to help you with that." I just bowed at her and thanked her for all the help she was willing to give 'some nobody.'

It was already hard to find a nice family in this world but in the Ninja World, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. I know I offered them my service, but it is rare to find people willing to help like this. On top of that, Uzumi-san has an aura of motherly embrace; you just feel protected.

"Now that you are hired," she paused for dramatic effect, "....call me, O-n-e-e ..c-h-a-n."

"..."

I was flabbergasted at that, and all those feelings were gone. Why was she still stuck at that? When she saw I still needed a little more push, she took out a notebook, which by the way looked very familiar to me, and she started reading it.

"...Fiery Flower,...by 'Master of Light.'

My jaw just hit the floor when I hard; how did she find it? I was hiding under ...my bedsheet. .... I know, I know it isn't by no means a safe place, but where is the law of privacy? I needed to do some damage control before things got out of hand, so I finally gave up. I was already on the ground grieving for the loss of my privacy and somehow squeezed some words.

" ...o-on-ee-c-ch-an,"

"What was that?"

I waited for earth to embrace me or sky to fall but that only happens in stories, so what the hell, I'm going to be here for a long time; let's be done with it, so I call forth all the courage I could muster and said with a red face which couldn't get any redder.

"ONNNEEE-CCHHANNNN"

I feel like I lost something very important to me that day.

Guy sensei: "Pain, suffering, and death I feel. ...
