Chapter .2 Pizza

Aunt Ayame's house was in the countryside, and there weren't many people living around us. After my parents passed away, I lived with my aunt; by no means were we related, but even as neighbors, they took me in as their own.

I still have my own house about 100 meters away from here; I can see it from here, but nobody lives there. It's been locked up. I will go there sometime later to clean it up but won't be living there.

I need to find a way to make passive income if possible. Why? Because I have to spend every waking hour on training if I want to have any chance to survive here, let alone make any changes to this messed-up world.

But before I do anything, I need to rest. I'm still feeling light-headed. There is nothing a good night's sleep can't fix. I'll have a good hot meal and sleep like there is no tomorrow. I'll make plans when I wake up; a boy needs his beauty sleep.

As soon as I got two shadows stuck to my legs, "Onii-chan," they both said at the same time. When I looked down, I saw twins hugging my legs—one each. "Oh, hello there, pumpkins, what have you been doing?" I said, hugging them back. Since they were short in size, all I could do was put my arms on their backs.

"Onii-chan, Haru spilled tea all over my drawing," the first thing she said was complaining about Haruto messing up her drawings. "I told you that I hit my toe on the table and some tea got spilled, and I said sorry," Haruto barked back. "And I had to pay one Ryu," his tone went sad in the end. Extorting money? I like it. I gave her a thumbs up, and she sheepishly smiled.

I'll do anything to protect that innocent smile. Alright, I've decided I'll be putting some a-holes in line. Not that I wasn't going to anyway; I just got more reason to do it now. "Here, I brought you guys some fruits, pick whatever you like." They were already eyeing the fruit bag. All they needed was a 'yes' from me, and they stole my fruit bag and ran away.

"Lee, you know you can stay with us, right?" Am I that readable? But still answered, "I know, this will always be my family, but... I'm going to join the academy, so I have to start my training soon. I'll be spending most of my time there now and won't be able to come back home that often. I will start making some plans for that by tomorrow and need to fix the money problem as well," I sighed in the end.

At my declaration, she sighed as well. "You can always ask for money, you know. We raised you like our own son; we love you the same." At that, I just hugged her. " I know I love you guys more than I can express, all I know you guys are my parents." At that, she had teary eyes. What I said was the truth; I have no memories of my father, and after my father, my mother got depressed, and slowly her health withered away as well, even though I couldn't do anything about it. I don't blame her either; losing someone close to you can hit hard.

Aunt Ayame has always been there for me and my mother, but she had lost the will to live. Ever since, she treated me like her own son. In the world of these monsters, she is a saint.

"All right enough of that heavy stuff now go take a shower and get some much-needed rest, I'll get you some hot tea. By then your uncle will be at home with a delicious dinner. I'm sure you've had enough hospital food, hehe." Oh yes, finally food from my uncle's restaurant. Can't wait, I smiled as well.

After that, I went to take a shower, and after cleaning myself from the hospital smell, I went to the kids and lay down to rest. I kept watching the kids play; they sure are a bundle of energy and never stop running around. That smile just melts my worries away. Why do I feel like an old man? I am just 3 years old myself. Kids do mature fast in this world. Five years can be sent to fight old men's wars. A war that they have started but always ends with the lives of innocents.

"What are you thinking so deeply about?" And that would be my uncle. "Hey Uncle, you're back; how are things at the restaurant?" I asked Uncle Isamu, trying to sway off from the last question. "You know, son, it's always the same old shit. You tell me; how are you feeling, buddy? You seem to be carrying more weight than you should be. What's got you so down?" And here I thought I got away from answering that. Am I just that easy to read? Now I question my career choice where I have to work with all kinds of bastards who can smell me miles away, literally.

Lee hadn't developed much of a personality yet, so they couldn't tell about our 'merge,' but whenever I go all emo on them, it's easy to spot. "Alright, since the cat's out of the bag already, I might as well talk to you guys. I've decided to roll into the academy when I'm of age." I sighed, I might as well have the 'talk' out of the way.

"I see, and you'll need money to support yourself. We can help you with that. Do what you gotta do, son." I could see he was a little sad at that, so I thanked him for all the support he was willing to give me, but I had a different idea. "Thank you, guys; I am grateful for all the help. There is one more thing I would like to try. Uncle, on a scale of 1-10, how close are you to the Akimichi clan, you know, as restaurant owners?" My Uncle eyed me, trying to read what I was going to say.

"Well, if you ask me like that I would say 9 or even as far as to say 10, so yes, we are old buddies and have to rely on each other since we are in a similar business." After thinking for a while, he started speaking again.

"They are specialized in cooking various kinds of meat because they have a lot of ninjas as customers, and that shit ain't cheap. Ninjas have a lot of money to burn; make sense?" I just nodded at that, not feeling like butting in, so I let him talk.

"But on the other hand, we mostly have light dishes, you know, for affordable prices for civilians, and that is the gist of it. If my guess is right, you need both of our families' support to work your idea, right?" Uncle said, trying to guess.

By then, dinner was put on the table, and all of us started to eat. At Uncle's guess, I just smiled and scratched the back of my head, "Well, yes and no. I do need both sides' help, but not the way you might think." My uncle encouraged me to speak my mind, and so did.

"I have an idea of making a really good dish that will be loved by ninjas and civilians alike. Because you see, it is like this." I started explaining how to make pizza.

"And you put all different kinds of these 'topping' on it which can make it expensive as hell and cheap for us folks. Am I missing something?" My uncle said, guessing the rest of my plan.

"Yes, that's pretty much it, and you stole my idea I want it back." At that, we all laughed even the kids, even though they didn't understand what was going on, they only knew that their father had stolen something from me. We just laughed our asses off until we ate dinner and now we were just having tea with some dessert.

"Speaking of dessert, I would like to try some of my ideas on this side of it too though I can take my time." After that, Uncle guessed my idea, "And you just don't want to sell 'pizza' at our restaurant but at Akimichi as well. But the question is how much they are willing to pay, right?"

"Yes, that is about it; our restaurant can use all of my ideas because I will be creating a few more, and while at it, I will be able to see how the customer reacts to it and how well it sells. That should be enough price for me, but as for"- my uncle cut me off.

"You want to sell your ideas after trying them at Akimichi and exchange them for it. Now the question is what price, right?" Uncle was on the roll today.

"I would like to ask for 50-50% of the profit if possible, so here I need you to make a proper deal with them and document everything?" I said with expectant eyes. After listening to my offer, he said, "I can get you 60% even; this is your idea. Alright, kid, I'll help you out; tomorrow let's test-run it, we will know how people perceive it.

And that is how the first time pizza got introduced to Naruto's world. Believe me, by the time I'm done with those a-holes, they'll be breathing fire from their asses. *Ahem*...YOUTH? ...yeah.
