5 Hard Working Genius

I have gotten significantly better at controlling my chakra. Mainly due to the fact that the instructor showed us a chakra control exercise, the main point being sticking leaves onto one's forehead through chakra. You just have to focus on the surface of your skin and try to keep the leaf from falling off.

It took me a long time to master. But it was fine, other kids laughed at me but I only shook my head at them. They were only able to do it because of their insignificant amount of chakra. Most of them can't even measure one-tenth of my total chakra. The smaller amount of chakra reserves a person has, the easier it is to control.

Whenever they teased me about it I could only try to hold down my smirk.

But even so, I finally did master it after a few weeks.

I then tried to further it by checking how many leaves I can stick onto not just my forehead but my body as well. Within the forest, I would usually strip off of my shirt and start sticking leaves onto my body.

It was indeed difficult trying to multi task. I had to be conscious of each and every leaf stuck to my body, just a slip off of concentration would disrupt the flow causing the leaves to all fall from my body.

My limit were about 20-25 leaves.

Now apart from the chakra control exercise I also prioritized on practicing my academy style taijutsu skill and the use of my Chakra Chains.

I didn't bother with shuriken and kunai as I was already proficient with them. I could even change their trajectory by making them hit other kunai/shuriken.

After I'm done with the academy, I would go and practice my taijutsu in the forest. I made a makeshift punching bag by finding old and durable cloth and sewing them together before filling it with dirt and trying it up on a tree.

Using my memories of the fighting style I burned into memory, I tried to copy each stroke until my hands and feet were bruised black and blue. Though even if it was, I would just bandage them up and start over. From a young age, I realized I healed faster than others. What would take a kid my age 2-3 days to heal would be done overnight.

After taijutsu would I practice with my chakra chains. It was a bit odd at first, but after some time I felt comfortable with them. They were made of my chakra, they were essentially an extension of me. It was like another extra limb to use.

I can control them to move around and pierce things. I could summon them from anywhere from my body though it seems easier through my limbs to anywhere on my back. Usually though, I summon four chains from my lower back and like control them to pierce the tree's.

[A/n: For visuals, just think of how Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul uses his kagune, that's how Naruto uses his chains]

I even made a killer move from them. Focusing on my palms I would summon two chains and inter weave them. Making them harder and stronger before raising my hand and pointing it at a target. Once my target is found I extend them in an extremely fast speed and pierces the target.

I used that move against a tree and it pierced through it and even trees behind were pierced. It left a hole as large as an adult's fist on the tree and the ones behind it. For now I'll call it... Reaper's spear.

The power of my Reaper's spear was already strong enough to pierce through several layers of trees. If I were to intertwine it with more than two chains... then won't it be more destructive. The weight won't increase as it's chakra. It has no physical weight.

Other than that, I found out several other new details about my Chakra Chains. First off, I can extend them infinitely. So long as I have the chakra to do so.

The other thing is regarding it's spiritual state. In it's spiritual form, it's not that it doesn't interact with anything. I was partially correct before, it doesn't do any physical harm but it can harm something spiritually via their chakra.

I tried to pierce a fish with my Chakra Chains in it's spiritual state and it stopped that fish in its entirety. It just froze as if it couldn't move and sank down trying to resist. I tried closing my eyes to sense the chakra signature.

Every time I use my sensory ability I can see the shapes and silhouettes of living things that have chakra. Using my sensory ability I found that it was being pierced by my chakra chain. That was why when I passed my hand through it before I felt uncomfortable.

It attacks you spiritually! I can stop a person's movement through them and even absorb their chakra or outright seal them!

I was shocked but more importantly extremely giddy! That was quite a useful and powerful ability. When the Chakra chains absorb chakra, it directly replenishes my own chakra reserves. When I'm on the battlefield, so long as I pierce and lock down my enemy, I won't need to worry about chakra!

After all this time, I should be overall stronger than the current number one shinobi in training at the academy. My only downside is that I don't know any elemental jutsu. If I remember correctly about the Uchiha clan, they only let their clansmen wear the clan crest if they can master the fireball jutsu.

I've seen Uchiha Sasuke wear the crest even before the massacre, meaning he's already known nature transformation since the age of eight!

"Nature transformation, an advanced form of chakra control that tails the molding and defining of the nature of one's chakra, altering its properties and characteristics for use in techniques"

That was the textbook definition I read about on the topic of Nature transformation.

I'm angry but at the same time I understand the fact that I and Uchiha Sasuke are world apart from social hierarchy. I am but a pitiful orphan and he is or was a clan heir. He's had access to such things from a young age.

In the end, I am the bigger genius. I've gotten to this point through, learned kunai and shuriken throwing, taijutsu, and trained my bloodline ability to high proficiency through my own hard work and dedication.

They say say there's two types of people, a natural genius and a hard worker. A genius who uses half the effort to get twice the results and a hard worker that puts two to thrice the effort to match those geniuses!

But I believe myself to be both, something even more monstrous that a genius with natural talent or a hard worker putting thrice the effort.

A hard working Genius!

With little effort I have improved by leaps and bounds in my taijutsu. But if I were to completely put my time on one thing at a time rather than trying to juggle between all at once, I should be able to improve faster!
