12 [Chapter 12] Orochimaru Attacks!
5 days later,
Konoha,
It was a normal evening, suddenly a huge *boom* sound was heard was heard all over the village.
Ryo was at the library, when he heard the sound of a huge explosion.
He ran towards the window to see what was happening.
When he looked out, he saw a huge snake had appeared where the majority of training grounds were located.
'I have to evacuate Souta, Grandma and Grandpa fast!' thought Ryo nervously.
He removed the weights off his legs, put them on the side lightly, and started running at full speed.
He was running so fast that you could only see a blurred image.
The whole village was in panic, the evacuation had just started.
As Ryo was running he thought,
'Shisui Sensei's hunch was right!'

Flashback,
About one month ago,
Ryo had just finished training with Shisui and they were going to leave when Shisui stopped him.
"What is the matter Sensei?" Ryo asked.
"I have a question to ask you." spoke Shisui in a serious tone.
"Umm.... ok" replied Ryo with a confused look.
"What does the village mean to you?" asked Shisui.
"Why are you asking this so suddenly?" asked Ryo.
"I will tell you after you answer my question." said Shisui.
Ryo went into a deep thought and after a moment,
"This is the village I was born in, it is where my family lives and it is also the village my parents died protecting."
"This village means a lot to me and I will always protect it with all my strength, but.... if I am given the choice between saving my family or saving the village, I will choose my family."
"My little brother ,grandparents and even you Sensei, are the ones who give me strength and also, a reason to get stronger, so, I will never abandon the people I care about!" said Ryo in a serious tone.
Hearing this Shisui was surprised and after a moment he smiled and said,
"I appreciate your honesty and I think, I can trust you with the information."
"You have a clear path and also a reason to become strong, so don't ever forget this reason."
"Ryo the information I am going to give you is confidential and involves the safety of the village, are you ready to hear it?" asked Shisui turning serious again.
Ryo nodded.
"I am afraid that the village might be at danger when I, Itachi and Hokage sama will be going to the land of wind."
Hearing this, Ryo was shocked.
After giving a moment for Ryo to digest this, he continued,
"There has been suspicious movements outside the village and I have a hunch that something bad is going to happen."
"I have told this to Hokage sama and he told the anbu and clans to be on alert, but we cannot cancel a major meeting that concerns two nations on just a hunch."
"Preparations for evacuation have been done and so I have a request Ryo."
After a moment Ryo replied,
"What request Sensei?" asked Ryo, still a little shocked.
"Even though the chances are low, If something does happen, after you take your family to the evacuation centre, please help the other villagers too, your speed is incredible and you can save many lives with it, I will not ask you to fight but..."
Before Shisui could continue Ryo spoke,
"Don't worry Sensei, if something does happen, then I will save as many people as I can, I promise you."
Hearing this Shisui smiled.
End of flashback.

Ryo reached the shop his grandparents owned.
As he entered, he saw Souta, who was in panic.
He had started working at the shop since 3 years ago.
"Thank God you are okay big brother! what is going on?" said Souta, still in panic.
"There is no time to explain." said Ryo as he put his brother on his back and ran towards the shelter where all the villages would evacuate.
Reaching the shelter, Ryo put down Souta and Souta was very surprised and asked,
"How are you so fast..."
Ignoring Soutas question Ryo said,
"Grandma and Grandpa must be at home right?"
"Yes." replied Souta.
"I will be right back with them." said Ryo as he vanished leaving Souta in a daze.
One by one, Ryo brought both of them to the shelter, they also were very surprised.
The Shelter was very big and it was being filled by the villagers.
They were in a state of panic, Adults could be heard screaming and children could be heard crying.
Even Naruto, Sauske, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Shino, Ino and Sakura standing with their mothers.
Seeing them Ryo thought,
'Looks like they were all together today, anyways.....'
Ryo turned to his brother and grandparents and said,
"I have to go to save other people too." Ryo said.
Hearing this Souta shouted,
"Why..... why can't you stay big brother?!"
Ryo pointed the leaf headband, which he wore on his arm and said with a smile,
"I am a shinobi now -...."
Before Ryo could complete his sentence, Souta siad with tears in his eyes,
"Promise me you won't die. Promise me!"
"I promise." replied Ryo, hugging his brother.
As he stepped out of the shelter, he could hear explosions all around the village.
'That scum Orochimaru put explosive tags all around the village, I have to move fast!' thought Ryo.
Ryo untied his hair and put on a mask that covered his whole face.
He had bought this mask when Shisui had told him about the danger the village could face.
'This will hide my identity well enough.' thought Ryo.
Then he started his rescue mission.
As he was rescuing people he saw a barrier was put up that surrounded two people.
One had very pale skin and the other seemed very old and was wearing an armour.
'That is Orochimaru and the third Hokage!' thought Ryo.
They were very far away from where he was.
Ryo continued his rescue, bringing everyone he could find, to the shelter.
As he was running, he heard a shout,
"Noooooo... you Old man how dare you!"
As Ryo looked at the direction, He saw Orochimaru shouting and Sarutobi lying on the floor.
'Looks like his hands got turned into stone.' thought Ryo.
Ryo did not stop but continued the rescue as there were still explosive tags all around the village.
After some time,
Ryo was searching for any survivor in an empty area.
'I think everyone has been evacuated.'
Ryo was obviously not the only one who rescued the villagers, there were several other Shinobis.
As Ryo was going to leave, he heard someone talking from a distance.
He saw a familiar figure, it was Kabuto!
He was exchanging something with five people who seemed like anbu.
'That can not be the anbu... It must be the people from Roots!' thought Ryo.
"This scroll has all you need." said one of the root members.
"Same with the scroll I gave you, Danzo will surely be happy." said Kabuto with a playful voice.
"I will be leaving now." said Kabuto again.
Hearing this conversation, Ryo fled immediately.
As he was fleeing he thought,
'Thank God none of them was a sensor!'
Normally highly skilled Shinobis, even if they are not a sensor, can find anyone who is spying on them.
Luckily for Ryo, he had learned hiding skills from Shisui so he was not caught.

Authors Note:-
I was thinking of making Ryo fight the root members but after some thought, I found the idea of Ryo defeating the root members ridiculous as he still does not have experience.
