78 Ch 76 : Vs. Mr. Shark

Using the Total concentration breathing to boost his speed, Sanada rushed toward the battlefield of the three Kage-level powerhouses.

Lightning began to crackle from within Sanada's body. His body now had yellow lightning all over him and the water blade on his hand was sharpened to another level.

Sanada was aiming his water blade at Kisame. The water blade on his hand was very sharp and fast. However, Kisame was not an easy one either.

The moment the water blade was about to hit Kisame's neck, he used his own greatsword Samehada to block the water blade. Then using the weight of Samehada, he slammed it hard toward the ground.

The confrontation between the water blade and Samehada had made Samehada screech a bit, but the fin of Samehada was just way too tough.

Sanada narrowly dodged the Slamming Samehada, and with his fist clenched, he changed his form to one of Fishman Karate.

Even after getting Giyu's template, Sanada was not one who would immediately forget all his previous techniques.

Kisame controlled a few water sharks and launched them toward Sanada. But Sanada easily handled them with his Fishman jujutsu and launched them back at Kisame.

"Nice one, kid! I'll handle Orochimaru as soon as possible, then come to your side!!"

Jiraiya on the side watching Sanada could hold himself against someone like Kisame, nodded approvingly.

On his previous confrontation with Kisame and Orochimaru. he had gotten to know that Kisame possessed at least a mid-tier Kage level, and for Sanada to be able to hold him back for this long, it was already beyond his expectation.

Still, Jiraiya knew that he should not prolong things.

" I'm sorry Orochimaru, but I must get serious now!"

With quick hand signs, Jiraiya did another summoning, but this time, only two small toads appeared.

Back to Sanada and Kisame, Kisame had begun to swing his Samehada in frustration, but no matter how hard he tried, Sanada was just too fast for him to hit.

Sanada felt Kisame was standing on the opposite of him. He immediately condensed some Uchimizu, shooting them at Kisame. But he easily deflected the Uchimizu with a swing of Samehada.

By then, the two had enough of this confrontation and decided to do big things to finish this off.

Kisame used his big water shark, and Sanada contested it with his Fishman Karate.

*BOOM*

The clash of power canceled each other as none of them was able to get the upper hand. Kisame clearly did not expect that he would not be able to beat Sanada in this. To top that off, Sanada was still young, and there was a huge chance that he would still get stronger, and become a threat to their plans of collecting tailed beast.

All of a sudden, a thought came into Kisame's mind.

He must kill Sanada now no matter what, even if that means sacrificing himself.

Kisame was ready to fuse with his Samehada like during his battle with Might Guy, but then...

"Sorry to make you wait, Sanada." Suddenly, a voice came from his left, and Kisame felt a big threat was heading toward him.

He was going to react, but it was all too late.

A flame Rasengan hit his lower abdomen, and a big scorch mark appeared on his body as he was knocked out.

BOOM!!!!!!

The Rasengan might not be enough to kill Kisame, but Sanada knew this was his chance.

He formed a water blade in his hand, and with a swift motion, he decapitated one of Kisame's arms.

The chance just now might be enough for him to pull off something big and kill Kisame. Still, Sanada wanted to hold it in moderation right now.

It was Itachi's idea to come and pursue Orochimaru, and if Itachi was to return to Akatsuki with his partner dead, he might be suspected by pain and the others, and it would be only counterproductive for Sanada.

Sanada still needs Itachi to monitor the Akatsuki for him, and for that, he needs to let Kisame getaway.
