Ch 25 : Meeting the sand trio

While Sanada and the others were having a meeting to discuss the Chunin exam, the world was trying to get itself back on the right route.

With such a coincidence, Naruto was able to convince Sakura to walk with him, and along the way, they met the sand trio who had just arrived at Konoha.

And just like how it was in the anime, it was all started with Konohamaru's misunderstanding in the relationship between Sakura and Naruto.

Sakura, who was enraged by Konohamaru's words, chased both Naruto and Konohamaru, which "accidentally" bumped into Kankuro, and that's how it's all happening.

BANG!!!!

Konohamaru crashed into a person twice his height.

He then looked up only to see two people, one weirdo covered in black clothes and a beautiful blonde next to him.

" That hurt, little punk!" Said the man as he lifted Konohamaru by his collar.

" Don't we'll get yelled later." The girl said to the man. However, from her tone, it seemed like she didn't actually care.

If Sakura in the anime was a timid one and immediately became panicked as she saw this scene, Sakura here reacted differently.

After spending a lot of time with Sanada, she had begun to realize the reality of Ninja world, and everything didn't always look as bright as it seemed.

Therefore, when she saw two strange people walking in Konoha and trying to make trouble, the first thing she did was to become cautious.

Of course, Konohamaru's matter was important, but the priority on her mind was to quickly figure up what the two strange people were up to.

Nonetheless, Naruto couldn't see this, and when he saw Konohamaru was held like that by the strange man, he immediately turned furious.

" Hey, fatass! Let go of him!" Naruto shouted as he rushed at the man in black clothes.

But at this moment, Sakura noticed that the man was trying to pull out something.

She flashed with and reappeared next to the man, holding the man's hand and stopping him from trying something weird.

" We are Konoha Genin, and if you gonna pull something weird here, don't blame me for being a bit heavy-handed!" Said Sakura as she now looked serious.

( *Sigh* Why are all other guys so weird and temperamental? Why couldn't they just be more like Sanada sensei?) Thought Sakura secretly in her heart, but of course, she didn't display it on her face.

The situation became very tense as the man noticed that he couldn't move his hand which was held tightly by Sakura. Sakura's strength has been enhanced greatly by the basic physique card, and it was not something that the strange man could handle.

The face of the man in black clothes looked grim. Never once on his wildest thought that he would be threatened by such a delicate-looking girl. He was ready to pull a big move, but suddenly, a voice stopped him from going any further.

" What are you bastard doing on our village?" Sasuke appeared to steal all the limelight. He was sitting on a branch of a tree with a cool position, and combined with his handsome face, it was very lethal to the girls.

If it was the previous Sakura, she would already be head over heels right now. But now Sakura just sighed a relief.

Sasuke's appearance should bring enough deterrence for the guys to stop.

Sakura was ready to release her hand, but then she felt something that she had never felt before.

A tremendous bloodlust was coming in their direction!

Sakura quickly took a step back and shifted her gaze in the direction of the huge bloodlust. There, she found a strange guy with a gourd on his back was hanging upside down on a tree.

( Who the heck is this guy!?) Thought Sakura deeply in her heart. The horror of this guy was not something a guy around their age should have!

" Kankuro, stop that! You are an embarrassment to our village!" The man hanging upside down on the tree said and caused the others to change their expressions as they reconsidered their actions.

" Gaara..."

In the end, the two men revealed each other's names. The name of the man in black clothes was Kankuro, the girl was Temari, while the man with a gourd behind the back was called Gaara.

Kankuro was still in a bit of a daze when Gaara asked with a cold voice..

" Why do you think we came to the leaf village?"

Kankuro tried to rebuke, but one sentence from Gaara immediately stopped him from saying anything more.

" Shut up, I'll kill you."

The rest was just like how it goes in the anime.

Gaara brought Kankuro and Temari away only to face some questioning from Sakura.

Temari then began to explain about the Chunin exam and how they came to Konoha to participate in it.

The Chūnin Selection Exams (Chūnin Senbatsu Shiken) are an opportunity for genin to be promoted to chūnin. The exam structure and evaluation processes differ from one exam to the next so that genin cannot come prepared. Villages originally held their own individual exams. Following the Third Shinobi World War, exams that are open to all villages started being held bi-annually, with villages taking turns for hosting responsibilities. These shared exams improve relations between the villages, present up-and-coming ninja to clients, and create an opportunity for gambling.

Although the exams, specifically the final round matches, are designed for there to be an ultimate "winner", success does not guarantee promotion nor does failure preclude it; if the observing ninja and daimyō feel a genin displays the necessary qualities for a chūnin, that genin will be promoted regardless of how they place in the exams. Being victorious simply expands the participant's chances of demonstrating their qualities in the next match.}

The curtain closed with Sasuke and Gaara telling their name to each other.

Of course, this time, Gaara was also a bit interested in Sakura, who could stop Kankuro, but in the end, he thought that Sakura was just a girl and was not worthy of his attention.
