Chapter 99: Chunin Exams (Finale)

The rest period ended quickly as all of the audience returned to their seats while the competitors who were somewhat healed chose to return and watch the final match.

Hiruzen looked on with pride as he saw that all three of the Shinobi who were fighting in the finals were shinobi of Konoha.

Not only that, but two of the Shinobi were students that he taught, increasing the level of pride he felt watching on.

The examiner came out and made the final match announcement of the Exams.

"The Final Match of the Chunin Exams is Sakumo Hatake vs Tsunade Senju vs Orochimaru!!"

All three of those shinobi emerged from their respective paths and met on the stage, with all three of the friends looking deeply at each other.

Tsunade stared at the two individuals who were the first people to become her friends in this new world.

She immediately activated her Yin Seal, making black marks spread throughout her body even before the match began.

Sakumo drew his blade and channeled his chakra through his blade, making the blade once again shine as small sparks were produced from it.

Orochimaru, not to be outdone, bit his thumb and slammed his hand into the ground, summoning a serpent from Ryuchi Cave.

The three each emitted a massive amount of danger, and all three waited for the next moment when the announcer would signal the beginning of this great battle.

"BEGIN!!"

Tsunade and Sakumo met immediately, with Tsunade using Earth Chakra to increase the natural defense of her skin, which allowed her to touch the blade without being charred or cut.

Tsunade began to reach for her scalpel, though she jumped away right before Orochimaru and his snake summon could slam into the spot she previously stood.

Tsunade punched forward, sending a powerful air blast at the snake's jaw, with the attack knocking the snake into the wall while Orochimaru jumped off and began to charge towards Tsunade.

However, Orochimaru sank into the ground to dodge a powerful slash from Sakumo as he showcased his extreme speed by arriving in front of Tsunade in an almost instantaneous manned and went for a powerful slash that would leave a great wound.

Tsunade blocked it by stomping the ground to disrupt the balance that Sakumo had and then followed up with a powerful kick that sent Sakumo flying back, though Orochimaru took a move out of her playbook as he appeared behind the Tsunade and sent a powerful kick to the back of Tsunade.

Tsunade slowed the momentum of the attack by rolling to decrease its force, after which she jumped and performed the body flicker to gain some distance for her to recover.

Orochimaru followed up with a kunai that seemed to be coated in poison as he began to battle Tsunade in Taijustu.

A good distance away from them, Sakumo stood with his blade in hand while the power it gave off began to increase as the lightning grew more wild and volatile.

He then made a new stance, one Tsunade had never seen, as he spoke

"Hatake Sword Technique: Electrical Destroyer!!"

A flying slash made of Lightning Chakra was sent at Tsunade and Orochimaru.

Tsunade poured all her chakra into her fist and delivered a punch that created a shockwave from the sheer force it released.

The power in the punch knocked Orochimaru back while Tsunade's punch turned into an air cannon that flew directly into Sakumo's attack.

The resulting destruction from the clash of the two attacks was so tremendous that it created an explosion that knocked back all three of the competitors.

Tsunade became the first to stand back up as she had already begun healing from the result of the attack.

Tsunade noticed both Orochimaru and Sakumo beginning to stir wake, with her deciding to finish the match as fast as possible.

However, instead of using her Ninjutsu or Taijutsu, she began to draw signs in the air, creating multiple symbols that she sent all around the battlefield.

She then grasped her hands together as she prepared the attack, right when Sakumo stood up and seemed ready to continue with what little he had left.

"Uzumaki Sealing Technique: Gravitational Domain!!"

Sakumo and Orochimaru both fell straight into the ground, creating cracks beneath them as they found themselves losing consciousness and their strength weakening.

They both finally became knocked out as Tsunade increased the gravity again to a seemingly unbearable degree, finishing the match and also marking the end of the Chunin Exams.

"The winner of this match, as well as the winner of the Chunin Exams, is Tsunade Senju!!"
