98 Chapter 94: Orochimaru vs Dabui

Duy was helped out of the ring by the medical ninja while other shinobi entered the ring to repair it.

B merely walked back to the waiting room to await his next match, with him bumping into his teammate Dabui on his way back.

"Good job in your match B. Good luck in your next one." Dabui said as he didn't change his lazy demeanor.

However, B grabbed his shoulder and stopped him, with him beginning to speak in an extremely serious tone.

"Don't underestimate the Konoha Shinobi. They are extremely strong in both physical and mental aspects. Underestimating them will only lead to a quick defeat." B told Dabui while releasing his shoulder

Dabui then stared at the back of B as he walked away while thinking 'How troublesome.'

In the Kage booth, A was extremely proud of B for being able to win, especially since he didn't use the power of his Tailed Beast to do so.

"Such strength is surprising of mere genin. If I didn't know any better, I would think that they were Jonin in disguise." The Tsuchikage spoke while eying the Raikage and Hokage.

"The strength of them both is just as much of a surprise to me Lord Tsuchikage, and I gamble the same could be said of Lord Raikage." Hiruzen spoke with a calm smile on his face to which A agreed.

'To think that boy would have such success in the 8 Gates Technique, a technique that Sensei almost labeled a Kinjutsu. Even I struggled to go past certain Gates, so for him to achieve such success with Sensei's technique at such a young age is tremendous. And if he can activate it to that level, I can only wonder the level in which Tsunade has reached in it.' Hiruzen thought to himself.

Back in the stadium, Orochimaru looked at Tsunade and Jiraiya as he realized it was time for his match to begin.

"Don't lose bastard!! We have to meet in the next round!" Jiraiya yelled at Orochimaru, making both Orochimaru and Tsunade smile.

Orochimaru felt nothing needed to be said, with him walking to the ring as it finished its repairs.

"Do you think he can win Tsuna?" Sakumo asked with concern in his voice.

"Of course." Tsunade answered in a sure tone.

Back in the ring, Orochimaru and Dabui stood opposed to each other while both were ready for the beginning of the match.

"BEGIN!!"

Orochimaru chose to keep his distance instead of charging right into the battle like the earlier shinobi.

Dabui also seemed to be observing his opponent, with him being fully cautious while staring at Orochimaru.

The real battle finally began in a shocking way, with Orochimaru sinking into the ground and disappearing from the sight of everyone.

Dabui jumped into the air and drew his blade, with him attempting to figure out where Orochimaru would attack from.

His thoughts were then interrupted as multiple snakes came from the ground and flew at him at blinding speeds.

Dabui sliced the heads off all the snakes and charged towards the location the attack originated from.

He charged his blade with lightning chakra and caused major damage to where he landed, but he was surprised to see nothing there.

Orochimaru then appeared from behind him and spewed sharp wind blades from his mouth.

Dabui decided against retreating and instead charged straight through the attack, incurring multiple wounds, and delivered a slash toward Orochimaru

Orochimaru, seeing the danger, stopped his Jutsu and countered the opponent using a kunai.

However, he underestimated Dabui's Kenjutsu skill as he was gradually overtaken and pushed back by it.

'Perhaps I should learn some Kenjutsu as well in the future.' Orochimaru thought to himself before he placed his full attention back on dodging the attacks.

Dabui jumped back before he weaved 3 hand signs and channeled Lightning chakra into his hand.

The lightning then took the shape of hounds around him, which he then used to circle Orochimaru and close his escape routes.

He stood across from Orochimaru while the lightning dogs surrounded Orochimaru in the shape of a triangle.

Orochimaru realized how dire the situation was becoming, and decided to began going fully on the offensive.

He began by using high level Fire Release to create dark smoke that covered his location and made Dabui unable to see him.

He then began using his Wind Release to manipulate the smoke in a spherical manner that it surrounded the position of Dabui, with this being an attempt to suffocate him.

Dabui didn't realize this until he started to feel lightheaded while the hounds he created unraveled due to his loss of concentration.

The match seemed to be won by Orochimaru, with the sphere of smoke showing no sign of Dabui escaping.

However, this was ruined by a powerful surge of energy that broke through the smoke and made major destruction.

The smoke escaped in every direction as it showed a heavily breathing Dabui staring at Orochimaru.

While he had escaped from the attack, Dabui knew he didn't have much chakra remaining to continue the battle, with Orochimaru realizing the same.

The two seemed to come to a silent agreement to end the battle with one final attack.

Dabui masterfully weaved hand signs and charged a massive amount of chakra into his hand before positioning himself in a position similar to shooting an arrow.

Orochimaru created a shadow clone and decided to utilize his ninjutsu prowess as both clones began weaving signs.

"Storm Style: Laser Gun!!"

"Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique!!"

"Wind Style: Violent Whirlwind!!"

A powerful blast of light was sent from one side.

A mixture of terrifying flames and a violent tornado was sent from the other.

The two attacks seemed even at first, but the light was overpowered and flew straight into Dabui.

Dabui was sent out of the ring and created a crater in the wall from the impact of the attack.

He was immediately tended to by Medical Ninja as the examiner announced the winner.

"The winner of this match is Orochimaru!!"

Orochimaru smiled before he passed out due to chakra exhaustion.
