85 Chapter 82: Preliminary Battle (III)

"The next match shall be Might Duy of the Leaf vs Fuyumi of the Sand" the examiner said.

Everyone showed looks of concern towards Duy as while they knew he was powerful in terms of Taijutsu, he may not be the opponent of the shinobi of the other Villages, as they had already showcased they were far superior to the average Genin or Chunin.

The only exceptions to this rule were Duy's teammates and Tsunade, with her doing nothing but making and hand sign and telling Duy to "Go all out."

Duy felt something change about the clothes he was wearing, though he didn't pay it much attention as he made it to his position on the battlegrounds.

Standing opposite him was a girl with orange-colored hair and hazel-colored eyes. She stood in a battle-ready position and stared at Duy cautiously, not wishing to make any mistakes.

Duy, on the other hand, didn't seem to notice the tension in the air as he gave a large smile before he spoke

"Allow me to introduce myself.

In the future, I will be referred to as the Great Beast of Konoha.

However, right now, you can refer to me as the dynamic, charming, and charismatic

MIGHT DUY!!!"

"..."

Everyone in the arena remained completely speechless at the moment, with some even doubting if Guy was a shinobi at all.

'Is the guy the one who made me nervous?' Fuyumi asked herself.

The examiner finally broke out of his stupor as he awkwardly coughed before he spoke

"BEGIN!!"

Duy's kindness disappeared in an instant, with it being replaced by a look of determination and focus.

This change caught Fuyumi off guard, though she found a kick quickly heading for her face, with her barely being able to dodge it as it scrapped her face.

Fuyumi was barely able to register what had just occurred as she quickly attempted to reorganize her thoughts while formulating a plan.

'Did that fool just move that fast? I could barely register his movement in my mind. If I don't think of something quickly, I'll be taken out before I even realize it.' Fuyumi thought while weaving hand signs.

She then yelled

"Scorch Style: Steaming Explosive Blasts!!"

Two orbs that emitted a high temperature appeared behind her as she began moving towards her opponent while once again gaining the cautious approach that she had begun the battle with.

Duy, feeling the heat that the orbs emitted, began to truly showcase his speed as he disappeared from his location and began to circle her from different angles.

The Genin and Jonin in the room all looked in shock at what Duy was capable of, as they didn't believe the fact that a Genin could showcase such levels of speed.

Duy finally made a move as he began to twist in the air and spoke

"Leaf Strong Whirlwind!!!"

The spin created powerful wind currents through the strength of the attack and landed right on Fuyumi's chest, sending her flying straight into the wall and knocking her unconscious.

Duy didn't walk away from the attack unscathed though, as one of the orbs had hit his shoulder while he delivered the attack, draining some of the blood out of his body.

Duy could only make it to his team, where he asked Homura "Did I showcase your greatness Sensei?"

Homura simply gave Duy a hug and spoke "You three always do."

He then escorted him to the Medical Ninja and left Sakumo after ensuring he would be fine, meanwhile the Sand Shinobi did the same with Fuyumi.

Tsunade simply watched all of this with a smile, happy that Konoha was beginning to showcase itself.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the announcement of the next match.

"The next match shall be Kenta Uchiha of the Leaf vs Choma Akimichi of the Leaf."
