Chapter 66: Mount Myoboku (Jiraiya)

When Jiriaya looked around, he saw himself no longer in Tsuande's backyard, with him instead finding himself inside of a unique looking place.

"Where am I." Jiraiya muttered to himself as he began walking to find any of the members of the Summoning Land.

As Jiraiya was walking down one of the paths, heard a voice behind one of the plants near him.

He immediately pulled out a kunai and threw it, though he saw a red frog jump from behind the tree and avoid it.

"Hey!! What was that for?" asked the red toad as he landed in front of Jiraiya.

"Sorry, I didn't know if you were an enemy or not. Are you a member of this Summoning Lands?" Jiraiya asked as he lowered his guard.

"It's fine and yeah, I'm a member of Mount Myoboku. But how did you get here? Pa said most humans are unable to find us here." asked the toad

"I performed the reverse summoning technique. I need to speak with the person in charge so that I can sign a Summoning Contract." Jiraiya said.

"Is that so? Well, I'll take you to meet gramps and try to be patient with him." the toad spoke as he began to lead Jiraiya to the Great Toad Sage.

"The name's Gamabunta, nice to meet you." the toad, now known as Gamabunta, told Jiraiya.

"Nice to meet you too Gamabunta, my name is Jiraiya." Jiraiya responded.

The two then walked on the path while talking, with them both becomng friends by the time that they finally arrived at the Great Toad Sage's temple.

"Oh, who's this Bunta?" asked a small toad with purple hair.

"This is Jiraiya, Ma. He said he wants to become a summoner of Mount Myoboku." Gamabunta answered.

"Well then he'll have to speak to the old fossil about it." Ma told him as they entered into the temple.

They arrived inside the temple and saw a large brown toad sitting on a stone chair sleeping.

Though he was woken up by Ma as she yelled "Wake up ya old foggey!!"

Gamamaru's eyes opened slightly as he looked down confused and asked "Who are you?"

Before Ma could yell at him again, Gamabunta quickly said "Gramps, this is Jiraiya. He said that he wishes to become a summoner of Mount Myoboku."

Gamamaru took a glance at Jiraiya before he spoke "Ah, the white haired brat. You were originally supposed to get lost here much sooner, though something's changed. But then again, even the child of prophecy that you were going to teach will no longer be the one to bring peace. However, one thing that I know for certain is that you shall still be closely related to the one who does bring it. Even though I'm unable to see how that piece will be achived, I believe we shall learn about it in the future. I permit you to become the contractor to the Toads of Mount Myoboku."

Jiraiya seemed stunned at the many revelations that were revealed to him, though he simply nodded before signing his name onto the contract.

"Now that you're a contractor of Mount Myoboku, do you wish to train to become a Sage?" Gamamaru asked.

"A Sage? Just like Lord Hashirama? But I though you had to have large chakra reserves to become a Sage?" Jiraiya asked.

"You do, and while we won't begin your senjutsu training yet, we can begin your training in many of the ninjutsu known only to us." Gamamaru answered.

"I'd love too, but I can't stay for too long. I have to take the Chunin Exams with my teammates." Jiraiya told Gamamaru to which he nodded.

"That is fine. You can come back and finish your training anytime." Gamamaru told him.

After seeing that everything was handled, Ma began to speak as she said "Well then, since we have a new contractor, how about we celebrate with some dinner. I'll make it extra juicy tonight!!"

Jiraiya misunderstood the food as something else with him saying "That sounds good."

Jiraiya would later regret those words.
