Chapter 54: Regeneration

~Tsunade~

Tsunade quickly went towards the chakra signature she had felt inside of the small building beside the compound with a face of pure fury on her face.

The one detail she had not told her teammates was how the man was abusing the women and children until they were nothing more than dead bodies,

And while Tsunade had seen horrific sights from her part time work as a medic in the hospital, just the scene she saw from the vibrations through her Seismic Sense made her want to hurl.

The emotions Tsunade felt while moving towards the bandit ranged from the anger at the man's actions, pity for the civilians who had to endure it, and a small amount of fear. Fear that she may die against her opponent before the others are able to come and help her. Fear that she will die and cause her family the pain of loss once again. And fear that she won't be able to accomplish anything in her new life just like her last.

But that fear was washed away by the many faces of her family who flashed in her mind. From her mother Ayako and her father Haru, to her Granny Mito and her Grandpa Tobirama. She saw the faith they put into her and decided she would be determined to survive.

That determination flashed on her face as she arrived in front of the shed, though before she could enter and catch the man by surprise, she heard his voice say "Don't bother trying to hide, I already know your their."

Tsunade entered the room to see the man sitting relaxingly upon his chair, showing no fear against Tsunade.

"You're younger than I thought, perhaps you could be fun to play with." Issei said with a sadistic smile upon his face.

A chill passed over Tsunade, but she showed no fear as she immediately punched toward Issei while moving at a high speed.

Issei lost his relaxed composure as he immediately jumped out of the way as he saw Tsunade's punch create a large crater where he once was.

"It seems your stronger than I thought." the man said while he stood in a battle ready position.

The two began to trade kunai and shuriken at each other, though Issei noticed that Tsunade seemed to be pulling her kunai and shuriken from seemingly out of thin air.

'A storage seal?' Issei questioned himself.

Issei then covered his body in a electric coating as his speed increased to a terrifying level that Tsunade could barely respond to.

'Lightning Chakra Armor? No, it can't be since he hasn't coated his entire body with the lightning and only coated his legs and hands.' Tsunade thought to herself.

She was then almost stabbed into the heart by a kunai, though she was able to move to make the kunai only hit her shoulder.

"Tch." Issei clicked his teeth as he moved back at an impressive speed.

'Looks like I need to go all out.' Tsunade thought before she formed the Release sign and spoke

"Yin Seal: Release!!"

Black marks spread all around her body as the ground beneath her crack and dust spread due to the dense chakra she emitted.

The dust cleared for Tsunade to be revealed, now looking much more imposing to Issei.

This version of the technique didn't give her automatic healing due to her not wanting to drain her vitality and knowing that she will later awaken a healing factor. This meant that the only benefits the technique gave was a vast amount of chakra and enhanced strength.

Tsunade dashed directly at Issei, ready to battle him to her hearts content. Iseei avoided engaging her taijutsu, since he saw how devastating her attacks were.

"Lightning Style: Lightning Dragon Jutsu!!"

Issei yelled at he spat a large dragon made of lightning directly out of his mouth.

Deciding to equal him with one of her most powerful ninjutsu, Tsunade weaved hand signs and used both the chakra inside the seal and the water in the plants around her to add to its power as she screamed

"Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique!!"

Tsunade spewed a massive amount of water from her mouth that collided with the lightning dragon, causing a large explosion.

Tsunade stood through the smoke, but just as she was about to use Seismic Sense, she was struck through the heart by a lightning covered hand.

"You're a good kid, but you're still too inexperienced." Iseei said while removing his hand from Tsunade's chest, leaving a whole in body. The seal Mito placed on Tsunade's body began to activate.

Tsunade began to lose consciousness as she felt she faded into the darkness, however she then felt as if she heard the voice of Hashirama begin to speak to her as he said "It's not your time yet Tsuna, I don't want you to visit me just yet."

Tsunade felt herself wake back up as she felt her heart begin to beat once again as she looked at Issei who stood kneeling in front of her.

"Wood Style: Wooden Spike!!"

Tsunade yelled as she made a wooden spike impale the shocked Issei from behind through the chest.

Issei simply looked down at the spike before he spoke with blood pouring out of his mouth "It looks like Kumo's gonna have trouble in a few years."

He then closed his eyes while succumbing to his wounds, with Tsunade falling onto the ground.

The last thing she saw before passing out was Orochimaru and Hiruzen running towards her, causing her to smile.
