135 Chapter 130: White Lotus

Tsunade arrived at the Hokage Building, with the lanterns shining light at the entrance while the darkness of the light sky surrounded the rest of the Village.

Tsunade entered the building and walked to the Hokage's office, with her seeing the back of a man that once confused her to no end, though she now understood him to a greater degree.

While she could never truly understand the deepest intentions behind everything the man did, she was able to uncover that the man truly cared for the Village, his Sensei, his comrades, and his students.

It was the fact that he supported Tsunade's outlandish idea for the academy and went against many parties of the Village for her idea, which at the time could be seen as outlandish, all because of his trust in her that truly made her believe that she could trust the man.

Don't get her wrong, she would not allow him to do anything as he pleases, such as making drastic moves in the Village or letting Danzo grow his influence to an overbearing degree, but she would not be against her Sensei who was one of the teachers who aided her in this life.

"What made you call me so late at night, old man." Tsunade said, making Hiruzen's eye twitch at the statement.

Before he could answer, the ANBU agent who called for Tsunade finally arrived and reported on the completion of his mission, making Hiruzen sweat at the man before he dismissed him.

After clearing his throat, Hiruzen spoke again.

"We have received word of dangerous Chakra Fluctuations in the Kingdom of Roran that have been growing over the past couple of weeks. We seem to be the first Village to discover the abnormalities there, so I decided to send someone who has the greatest control over Chakra while also having tremendous combat capabilities in case any situations arise. This mission will have great importance, as aiding in the investigation may allow us to gain a foothold in the Land of Wind and open us up to being able to gain mission opportunities from the Nobles there."

Tsunade realized the implications that the mission could have, though she could not shake the fact that she had heard the name of such a Kingdom once before.

Tsunade simply pondered over the mission further, with her then asking a key question.

"I'm guessing this mission is extremely top secret. And that I won't be able to bring any teammates with me?"

Hiruzen simply nodded in agreement, making Tsunade dread this mission as she felt a bit uneasy about it, making her feel that something was wrong completely.

However, her duty as a Shinobi outweighed everything as she agreed to take the mission, with Hiruzen giving her a day's time to prepare.

But, when Tsunade left, she did not head back to her home, with her instead heading to a remote part of the Village.

She walked behind what looked like an abandoned building in the place and performed a unique Fuinjutsu on the back of it, opening a secret passageway that was adorned with many different Seals.

As Tsunade appeared, she walked into a room that had a large table and chairs surrounding it, with many prominent people of her generation already sitting there.

"Let the meeting of the White Lotus begin." Orochimaru said upon seeing the arrival of Tsunade.

This organization was created by the Sannin, mainly Tsunade, after the end of the Second Great Shinobi World War with the sole goal of keeping the Hokage in check, as once they began abusing his power, they would need to be deposed.

However, they had many prohibitions in the organization to prevent them from abusing such authority or getting too far involved.

But the main goal was to protect the best interests of the Village at all costs, while also attempting to maintain unity and peace within the Village.

"What made you call a meeting this late at night, Tsuna?" Sakumo asked as he sat at the table.

"I'll be going to the Land of Wind for my next mission, and I'm not sure when I'll be returning. I called this meeting to request that you guys protect my family while I'm gone, as well as keep an eye on any major events in the Shinobi World." Tsunade responded, with her making a heartfelt request.

"You know we would do that anyways. There is no reason for you to go out of your way to request it." A man with long white hair spoke.

The red lines on his now mature face coupled with his large build made him greatly intimidating to his enemies, though he seemed the same to everyone in the room.

Tsunade gave him a large smile, one that made the butterflies in the man's stomach churn as Tsunade spoke.

"You're right Jiraiya, I should have known I could count on you guys for such a thing. I'll be leaving tomorrow, so be prepared."

The group then discussed other matters in the Village, though none seemed too important as the meeting was over in about 30 minutes.

Tsunade went home to get a good night's rest, as she would be preparing for her mission once she awoke.
