Chapter 112: Plans

Tsunade looked over the latest information she had gained about the oncoming troops from Iwa, it making her grow more and more serious as she read it.

The army was now only 4 days away, and they finally began to gain more detailed information from their spies.

They had been able to discover that the opposing army consisted of about 3 thousand shinobi.

However, while the army had been able to travel a good distance over the past few days, they would most likely stop to rest and reorganize one final time before they made it to her base.

Tsunade called for Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Choma, Shikai, Inoka, Shinku, Hiruko and Shiro.

The group made it in a relatively quick time, with them all wishing to hear what Tsunade was going to say.

"The troops led by Iwa are most likely going to stop and rest and some point between now and when they make it here. If we are able to cripple their supplies by sending in an elite team to destroy it, it will allow us to force them into a more desperate approach. It'll also open up the opportunity for us to use a better strategy during the penultimate battle. And because of the fact that this team could be discovered, leading to a battle with a JInchuriki, I'll lead this team on this mission." Tsunade said, making everyone grow concerned.

With Tsunade's absence, any major attacks on them could leave them in a more vulnerable state.

Their ability to deal with it may become compromised, and it may cause their chain of command to fall apart.

"Is anyone else here confident enough to fight the 4 Tails?" Tsunade asked, silencing a lot of the discussion.

While they were all powerful, with most of them being much stronger than their original selves, they still were not at the level to which they could fight a Tailed Beast and win with no trouble.

Add on the fact that they may also be besieged by the army of shinobi that accompany him, you get a disaster waiting to happen.

"The only ones who will be conducting this mission will be myself, Shiro, Orochimaru, and Choma. I'll be leaving Shikai and Jiraiya to co-lead the camp until we return, with them having the necessary strength and intelligence to counter any unforeseen circumstances. The rest of you are to assist them in this." Tsunade told them.

She then turned towards Orochimaru, Shiro, and Choma and spoke "We'll leave out tonight."

The two both nodded in agreement to this.

~Land of Wind~

A shinobi stood in front of Kagami and reported the strangeness of the actions of the Sand Shinobi.

"You say that they seem to have halted all their aggressions on the camp, with them instead seeming to be waiting for something? But what could be the reason that they would stop their hostile invasion? Knowing how desperate they are, I can't see them having second thoughts about the War." Kagami both asked the man in front of him and himself.

"We shall continue to monitor their actions, and I shall alert you of anything we find. Would you like us to be more invasive with our methods?" The masked shinobi asked.

"No. If the spies we have were to be discovered we would cripple our intelligence network. And I would rather not depend on the other intelligence department of Konoha." Kagami said while shaking his head as an image of a man appeared in his mind.

The shinobi then left, leaving Kagami to ponder on what exactly Sunagakure could be planning.
