Chapter 49: Convene

~Dimension X87~

Inside of a seemingly infinite dimension that carried on through an ever expanding amount of ground, a large building could be seen.

And inside of this building, various aliens adorned with horns sat around a table, each with a grim and serious expression on their face.

One of the aliens, one adorned with clothing that seemed intricate in nature and made him seem like he was above the others, stood, with him looking at the paper in front of his with a mixture of anger and outrage.

He then looked around the table, with him finally organizing his words so that he could speak.

"Today, we lost the life signals of Kaishiki, Ritashiki, and Meshiki. All three of them are no longer detected through their Chakra Signatures. This is the first time in eons that an incident like this has happened. We have already sent out multiple higher ranking Clansmen to discover the source of their deaths, but we must be prepared for the realization that we may be facing a new type of threat." The man spoke.

As soon as he finished his statements, a large amount of discourse erupted in the room, with everyone panicking while attempting to figure out what they were going to do.

While the deaths of three Clansmen may not seem like a big deal, in actuality it was a major event that had not happened since the Otsutsuki Clan became a major hegemony in the Universe.

Ever since Shibai had ascended to becoming a True God in their Clan, they no longer worried about many threats, with them becoming the dominant force in many dimensions.

Their mastery over the power of Shinjutsu served to make them literal Gods amongst nearly everyone except themselves, and that arrogance had made them look down of the inhabitants of many of the Dimensions that they had invaded.

But the major question arose upon three deaths in a quick and successive order.

Who was hunting them?

"Enough." The eldest member of the Otsutsuki Clan spoke as he opened his eyes, revealing his eyes that seemed to be similar to staring into a deep expanse of space.

"We shall remain on high alert and all Clansmen will move in groups of three rather that two. Any alerts of being above the usual level of power that Mortals are able to release are to immediately reported to the Main Branch annd be responded to with swift and decisive force. We do not need any more deaths, nor do we need any issues to arise due to a potential enemy.

The majority of this information will not be released to the general public, as we do not need any traitors or radicals gaining information that their could be a force or person able to eliminate us. That would only expand our problems."

The man then stood, with him heading towards the door while closing his eyes once again.

However, he stopped right before opening the door as said his final statement.

"Any information is to be reported straight to me. I don't wish for any issues like what happened a milleneum ago to repeat themselves."

The man then left, with everyone remaining knowing that they couldn't disappoint him, unless they wished to face a fate worst than death.

Because that man was the highest ranking member of the current Otsutsuki Clan.

The Patriarch.

Yao and the others arrived back at her home in Kamar Taj, yet unlike her previous joking and playful attitude, her face now seemed stern as she thought about what course of action that they should take.

The emergence of the Otsutsuki Clan so early, especially before they had went towards the Shinobi World in the original timeline, meant that she needed to prepare for them before they could do so for her.

Yao glanced over towards Yamamoto, with him subconsciously straightening himself as he finally once again saw the true face of the Sorcerer Supreme.

While she had been portraying the kind, friendly, and benevolent teacher to her students, one that could get serious in some situations, she had ultimately been hiding who she actually was.

And that was the leader of a faction that governed over individuals able to bring entire worlds to their knees.

She was a woman who would destroy a dimension without batting an eye if she felt that it was necessary for the protection of her world.

That was the burden that fell onto the shoulders of the individual who wore the title of the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Prepare for a Convergence. I want everyone here in an hour." Yao said before she vanished into yellow sparks, an advanced adaptation of the normal teleportation circle.

"What's a Convergence?" Hashirama asked, with him noticing the grim expressions on everyone after she said those words.

"It means we convene and prepare for war." Irene said with a sigh.

Hashirama and Madara both grew serious at this, as they knew the situation had developed to a newfound level, one that they were way to unprepared for.

Madara turned to Oogway, with him asking a simple question.

"Can you train us to be stronger?"
