41 Chapter 41: Principalities

Yao sat at the river as she watched both Madara and Hashirama formulate their spells, with each of them calling upon separate Dimensions.

The two had been training for a few months now, and their level of progress broke any measure of talent that anyone else she has ever seen could do, with her only thinking to attribute it to them being the reincarnations of Indra and Asura.

'Maybe this is how my counterpart saw Strange? No, even with their talent, I doubt they could reach the level of Strange in the 616 continuity, especially the version of him from the older comics.' Yao thought to herself.

"I call upon you to use your great flames in a pursuit to return my enemies to ash. Aid me in this endeavor. By The Flames of The Faltine!!!" Madara yelled as a pillar of flames emerged from his hand and blasted at Hashirama.

"I implore you to assist me in defending against my enemy. By the Icy Tendrils of Ikthalon!!" Hashirama said as spikes of ice erupted from the ground and went toward Madara.

The two attacks clashed with it creating a massive cloud of mist that encapsulated the entirety of the river.

Yao clapped her hands, making the mist disappear in an instant as the winds blew, with her looking at her two students with pride.

"Well done!! You two have officially learned your first two spells. How do you feel?" Yao asked as she walked towards the two.

"Amazing!! The Spell didn't take any Chakra, and you said that if we master it we can use it without the chant. That would make it fully superior to Ninjutsu!!" Hashirama said excitedly as he seemed to bounce off the wall.

After all, the ability to use Ice Release or any other specialized elements would require you to be born to that Clan or have the genetics, yet Sorcery could be far more versatile than Ninjutsu.

"That is true. Ninjutsu is a very strict system of power if I were to compare it to most, yet Spells have a distinct nature of being dangerous. Even when facing beings that are far more powerful than you, they still can be taken down if you possess the right spell. That is the very reason that Magic is so dangerous in general." Yao said as she rubbed his head.

Yet she noticed that Madara seemed to be stuck in thought, making her open a portal over his head and have water fall onto his head.

Madara glared at her while she chuckled.

"What's the matter? You should be proud of your achievement." Yao said as she looked at him with her smile.

"Who are we calling upon for these Spells? You stated that certain spells call upon Principalities, but you wouldn't teach us those until we reached the highest level of Magic, yet we call upon certain names when we perform our spells. We aren't selling pieces of our Soul, right?" Madara asked, a bit fearful.

Yao, seeing his fear simply laughed, with her laugh growing as she watched his face turn red in embarrassment.

"The reason that there are names attached to spells is because some Dimensions are not known to us in this World or have not yet discovered them. The names are uses to identify the Dimension we wish to draw power from, as if symbolizing what place we wish to channel the energy from and utilize it. While there may be other Universes where the entities we speak of actually exist, that does not include this one. In fact, we teach an entire class on this topic in Kamar Taj." Yao explained.

That fact was actually something she also worried about until she found a Dimension of Ice that lacked Ikthalon, with she then discovering other unmarked Dimensions. It seemed that here, in this Universe, most beings didn't know how to become Dimensional Lords, as the Otsutsuki Clan seemed to devour the energy of Dimensions and Worlds rather than assimilate inside of them.

That was quite foolish on their end, as owning a Dimension would give a far greater level of power than merely absorbing it's energy, but to each their own.

"Speaking of Kamar Taj, you never took us there, Sensei. When will we get to see your home?" Hashirama asked.

Yao thought about it for a moment and realized that she hadn't taken the two to see the Holy Land of Magic in the World.

"Very well. Let's go." Yao stated as she opened the portal and walked inside.

Madara and Hashirama looked at the excitement in each other's eyes, with them following their teacher into the portal.
