38 Chapter 38: Outlook

Madara and Hashirama suddenly found themselves flying through the void, when the very concepts of light and darkness, space and time, matter and antimatter, and reality smashing together as if they were being destroyed and created at the same time.

"Your World. Your Solar System. Your Galaxy. Your Universe. They are all merely small facets of reality that come together with countless others to form our wide and expansive Multiverse, one that has every possibility, every outcome, every chance, full realized in it's own separate world that exist independently from each other."

Madara attempted to look around for his teacher, in a hope to apologize for his behavior so that he could exit whatever situation that he was in, yet when her turned his head, he saw what he could only describe as an amalgamations of many of his fears, with it seeming to reach out at him.

However, just before it could reach him, he was yanked in another direction, with him gasping heavily once he felt the ground beneath him.

"Wh-What was t-that?" Madara asked between breaths.

"A nasty little demon from the Blank Dimension. He's devoured multiple dimensions over the years I've seen him. Though, he's not much compared to some of the larger beings. I'd say he's a minor annoyance to our plane since he usually knows not to test his luck." Yao said as she stood beside Madara.

"Where are we?" Madara asked as he stood, though the sweat on him showed how terrified he was by the creature.

"Another nearby dimension I've found, with it functioning on similar yet separate rules than our own." Yao stated as she pointed to another direction, with Madara turning to see a monster with pink hair and four arms battling entire armies, with it's power tearing through them as if they were nothing.

Madara could only stare at the being, unable to understand how each attack it threw had power similar to that of a S Ranked Ninjutsu, yet the monster didn't even seemed phased by doing them.

Before he could ask, the world spun again as he found himself staring at a scene that made him widen his eyes, with him seeing women and children being branded with hot metal on their backs, the nearby individuals in suits merely laughing at the scene as if it were amusing.

"What is this!!" Madara said, somewhat infuriated by the behavior of the people as they basically tortured the children, some who were a younger age than his brother, and seemed to enjoy it.

"Slavery. This is a dimension where the controlling force of the world allows certain individuals to behave however they wish, with them having people that trample on those they view as less than them simply because they can. Because of unfiltered arrogance that they hold over those 'lesser beings'. Is that how you view anyone who is not from your Clan?" Yao asked.

Yet, before he could answer, Madara found them transported to another World, with this one not seeming to be in any war or people being tortured, yet he could see a large man in a colored suit saving multiple people from a burning building.

"This is the dimension that I've found closest to our concept of peace. One in which children are allowed to be just that and multiple people rose to maintain their society and keep it as safe and peaceful as they can. But..."

Yao waved her hand as the Eye of Agamotto shined, with the scene changing from a peaceful one with people on the streets, to one with destroyed buildings and boarded up homes.

"A single man imposed his beliefs on the rest of their society, leading to it teetering on the edge of destruction. An end to this age of Peace." Yao stated.

Just then, the world morphed a final time, with Madara looking at a man who looked similar to himself staring down an entire army of individuals that included the Tailed Beast and Shinobi adorned with headbands.

"Just like in the last world, a man felt that he knew what was best for everyone, and decided to enact an intricate plan to force everyone into an eternal sleep, one that would force them to dream of their ideal world but never be able to live truly." Yao said.

Madara's eyes widened as he quickly realized what was going on, with him turning to look at Yao with an expression of disbelief and sadness.

"Is that me?" Madara asked, to which Yao merely nodded.

"It is. In some worlds, you become this great evil that wished to impose his will on everyone and everything, damning the world in the process. Is this what you would be proud of in the future?" Yao asked.

"NO! I will never become this!! I refuse to believe that I would do such a thing!!" Madara yelled in anger, though this anger was more at this future version of himself rather than at his teacher.

'I refuse to become THIS!! I will never become this type of individual, even if the entire World is against me!!'

"Then prove it. Prove that your blind arrogance and ignorance won't lead you to this path of destruction. Become the you that I know you can. Become someone that holds not arrogance, but pride in his own ability and the good he has done for the world. Because I believe in you, Madara. I believe you can do what so many have been unable to;

Prove Fate Wrong." Yao said.

Madara turned back to her, though instead of his black pupils, he now had a red eye with a single tomei inside of it, with him nodding his head in determination.

"Then, let us return." Yao stated, with Madara finding himself immediately back in his body, looking around at his surroundings with a new perspective and outlook on the world.
