Chapter 35: Test

The day quickly came to an end, with Yao merely walking into the forest and disappearing to the senses of Madara and Hashirama.

The two boys decided to head home, agreeing to deal with the current issue once they met up again the next day.

When the two met the next day, they could only both look on in shock as the woman that they saw the day prior sat on a decorative chair while drinking tea from her cup.

The woman motioned for them both to join her, with them both doing so while keeping up their guards.

"So, when you stated you were the Sorcerer Supreme, what exactly does that title entail?" Madara asked as soon as he sat down near her.

He had looked through many of his clans archives after he got home the night prior, and with him unable to discover any instances of such a title being used.

But the scene of her morphing a Ninjutsu into butterflies was something that stuck with him greatly, as he was unable to understand what allowed the technique to be used or even how she was able to seemingly create life.

"It means I protect the world from the great amount of dangers that most are unable to see or perceive. I lead great Sorcerers in the battle against many dimensional entities that normal people are unable to see." Yao said as she sipped from her tea, while offering some to the boys.

"How did you turn my Jutsu into butterflies yesterday?" Hashirama asked, making Madara sigh as he was attempting to lead the conversation to that topic discreetly while downplaying his interest in it.

"Magic." Yao said as she put her hands together and pulled them apart to make a rainbow.

Hashirama seemed amazed while Madara seemed to think she was lying, causing him to use a common Uchiha scowl.

"Can you teach us!!" Hashirama asked as he seemed amazed by the ability that the woman used.

Madara on the other hand merely wished he had unlocked his Sharingan, as he felt that he could likely copy it using it.

"Perhaps I can teach you two something else first, maybe to hone your Taijustu and sensing abilities." Yao said, making both boys grow slightly serious.

While Ninjutsu could be easily used in the battles of high-level Shinobi, lower-leveled ones mainly focused on their direct combat skills like Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, and Shurikenjutsu.

And sensor Shinobi were viewed in great rarity, as they were the people most useful when either ensuring the safety of their teammates or giving them the element of surprise on enemies.

So, even if Madara didn't trust the woman, he would gladly take her instructions if he could use such gifts for his own benefit.

"Yes/YES!"

Yao merely nodded at the two, a smile gracing her face as she stood and waved her hand, making the table and chair fade into gold sparks, leaving her standing with her teacup still in her hand.

"Very well. If you wish for me to acknowledge you as my students, the only thing you have to do is take this tea cup from me." Yao said.

As if her words were immediately comprehended, both Madara and Hashirama moved instantaneously, with them both attempting to grab the tea cup from her hands.

Yao easily dodged both attacks before backhanding Madara and kicking Hashirama in the chest, sending them both flying back.

'Ahh. I've wanted to do that since I first seen the brat. He really has a punchable face.' Yao thought to herself.

However, she was a bit surprised to see Hashirama already back on his feet, with him charging at her once again.

'I put a decent amount of force behind that kick, at least enough to shatter a tree. I guess the Senju still have remarkable bodies to not be fazed by such an attack.' Yao thought as she blocked all of Hashirama's attacks.

As Yao easily countered the attacks, she began to realize that Hashirama possessed a terrifying talent in battle, as his attacks seem to be growing more precise and swifter the longer the fight went on.

Suddenly, Yao moved her head to the right, dodging a kunai thrown from Madara, though it curved back towards her, allowing her to catch it with her hand.

'Incredible. I don't think I've seen such an analytical mind in battle from any of the recent recruits. Perhaps I'll enjoy training these two. Maybe I should teach them the Mystic Arts, since it's not like I care about the timeline of how it'll develop.' Yao thought.

Deciding to end the battle, Yao used her tactile telekinesis to grab both boys and slam them into each other, after which she morphed the ground into binding them both together.

"Well, that was quite pathetic." Yao said with a smirk, though Madara was pissed at her.

"Let me go you old witch!!" Madara yelled.

Yao's eyebrow twitched violently as she released the two boys, though she then waved her hands, forming two portals, one above Madara and one below him, with him falling through it repeatedly.

"Come with me, Hashi. We can start you on meditation." Yao said, ignoring Madara's cries for help.

Hashirama merely followed his new teacher, while sending a silent prayer out for Madara.
