34 Chapter 34: A Fateful Encounter

'Now isn't this amusing? I didn't think I'd be this far into the timeline already. Oh how the years fly by.' Yao thought to herself as she looked at the two people who could be viewed as the pinnacles of the Shinobi World in the future.

Yao looked on at the two boys throwing stones at one another, with her feeling that it would be amusing for her to interact with the two.

However, just as she was walking forward, she noticed a large amount of fate covered on both of the boys, with it also seeming to wish to prevent her from involving herself with the boys.

"Oh buzz off." Yao said, an annoyed expression on her face as she flicked her hand and made the strands of fate disperse.

Yao had long since surpassed the echelon of power necessary for her to view Fate as merely being a toy in front of her, with it no longer being capable of displaying any form of importance before her.

Yao continued walking forward with her hands behind her back as she contemplated on how she should appear to the boys.

'Perhaps a venerable elder? They seemed to work well in the cultivation novels. No. Those tropes grow old quickly. Maybe the wise ancient being that was suddenly awoke from her sleep? Perhaps, but it could get boring pretending now to know how to use certain things. Ah, what works better than being the Ancient One! I'll have to thank my Marvel counterpart for the inspiration.' Yao decided as she was finally between them both.

She noticed the two boys arguing, though she paid it no mind as she undid her camouflage between the two and began to speak.

"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you two. I am Th-"

"SHUT UP!!" Hashirama yelled, before turning his attention back to Madara, though he found the boy jumped back from a distance and alert.

He blinked a few times before he did the same, alert at the unknown woman before him.

He stared at her appearance, with him noting her beautiful attire that one would only see nobles wearing as well as focusing on her shining bald head, though based on the woman's glare, it would seem she noticed.

"Well, now it seems like my introduction can proceed normally. Honestly, I haven't had this occur in years.

I am the Ancient One, Sorcerer Supreme of this world and Guardian from unseen threats. It a pleasure to meet you both."

"What do you want?" Madara asked, not believing a single word she said as he began to mold his chakra.

"Well, I merely decided to tra-" Yao's words were cut off once again, with Madara spewing a fireball from his mouth directly at her, with Hashirama spitting a water dragon from behind her.

Yao simply sighed as she casually waved her hand, dissipating the fireball easily before turning to the water dragon and snapping her fingers, morphing it into butterflies.

"Are you done?" Yao asked, highly irritated at consistently being interrupted.

"Kai!" Yao heard both boys yell, though they both seemed stunned when they saw that the butterflies didn't disappear.

Yao could only smile in amusement at the children, with her sitting on the water instead of battling either of them.

"Come sit with me." Yao said to the boys, with Hashirama hesitantly walking over, enraging Madara.

"HASHIRAMA!! What the hell are you doing?!?" Madara said, showcasing his distrust of the woman while also showing his concern for his friend.

"I-I just have a feeling that I can trust her." Hashirama said as he joined Yao and sat on the river.

Madara hesitantly joined, though he sat with his kunai still in his hand, prepared to attack Yao if she showed any form of hostility.

"Why have you come here?" Hashirama asked, still not completely sure about the stranger, yet he also felt as if the woman wouldn't harm him.

"To bask in the joys that Gaia gives and enjoy the world as it had developed." Yao said, with the three of them then sitting in silence when they noticed the beautiful scene of the sunset.

The Sorcerer Supreme sat and merely basked in the scene, while the two boys beside her merely became lost in their own thoughts.
