Hyuga Clan
"Who are you three?"
Mizuna, Kimi and Hiyori were training outside the village of Konohagakure early in the morning when 5 shinobis approached them.
They are all dressed in black and their face is covered by a white mask. Every fibre of their being seemed to vibrate with an unspoken fury, their presence radiating an aura of deadly intent that shared shivers down the spines of those who dared to cross their paths
Mizuna, Kimi and Hiyori stopped what they were doing and looked at the 5 masked men standing on top of a tree branch
Hiyori then said " I am Hiyori Hyuga of the Hyuga clan, this young boy is my son Mizuna Hyuga, and that woman is Kimi my adopted daughter"
One of the masked men suddenly froze after hearing her name, then he jumped down and kneeled on one knee in front of Hiyori and said "I greet the sister of the clan leader, welcome back Mistress" he then looked at Mizuna and said "I greet the eldest young lord of the Hyuga clan"
The other 4 masked men looked at each they could see the surprise in each other's wide eyes, and then their vigilance against the 3 formerly unknown shinobis decreased greatly.
"Mistress, the elders have been looking for you for so long, please come with me to the Hyuga clan"
"sigh" Hiyori sighed and looked at Mizuna and Kimi. She then agreed to go back to her clan
The three Hyuga and one Uchiha started their way to the Hyuga clan compound
jumping from one roof to the other the wind rushing past their faces they arrived at a lavish compound guarded by four shinobis with white eyes and on top of them a metal plaque that said Hyuga on it.
Hiyori looked at the plaque above her and said "It's been a long time, 17 years to be exact" he then looked at Mizuna and Kimi and said "This will be our home from now on my son and my adopted daughter" She smiled while saying the adopted daughter on Kimi. Kimi smiled back awkwardly
The four enter the compound and see a tranquil garden featuring carefully pruned trees and shrubs, and meticulously raked gravel stones.
They arrived at the main residence, a beautifully crafted wooden house with tatami-matted floors and sliding paper screens, it's simple yet elegant design blended seamlessly with the natural surrounding
An old woman rushed towards the group and said "Welcome back my daughter" with tears flowing from her eyes. Hiyori hugged her tightly and cried as well "Mother I missed you," she said
A man in his thirties said "Welcome back elder sister" while smiling widely
An old man just looked at them with an expressionless face but if you look closely one can notice his tightly clenched fists and his shaking composure
"Tell us what happened to you, my daughter? Where have you gone off to for the last 17 years?" The old woman asked while touching Hiyashi's face
Hiyori looked down and said "To tell you the truth mother, father and my younger brother. On that night while I was on my way back to our residence, someone launched a sneak attack on me and abducted me"
The 3 Hyuga froze after hearing it. Hiyori then continued
"I was carried while bound by a rope for days. But one day when I woke up from the smell of blood, I found my abductors dead and a man was standing in front of me. That's when he told me that I was on the land of earth and left. As you know my strength wasn't sufficient for the journey back from Kohonogakure on my own as I was in the middle of our enemy's territory. So I hid in the forest and trained. That's when I met Mizuna's father"
Hiyori then looked at Kimi "As for Kimi my adopted daughter, me and my deceased husband found her near the forest. I was surprised at first when I noticed that she's a Uchiha so I asked how she managed to come to the Land of Earth but she doesn't remember it even until now"
Hiyori continued making up lies after lies she longed created for this day until the sunset on the horizon.
As the last wisp of daylight fades, the world is bathed in an eerie twilight, where the shadows dance and secrets are whispered
Mizuna's grandmother accompanied them to Hiyori's house inside the Hyuga compound and said "This was your mother's house Mizuna, I clean it daily myself hoping that a day will come when I'll see her inside this house once again" She said while smiling and tears are flowing down on her face while looking at the mother and son pair
"I'm really happy that you've returned my daughter, and brought a son and a daughter too" She then left not long after
Mizuna, Hiyori, and Kimi looked at each other and they all sighed
"Mother, I didn't know that you're good at lying" Mizuna said with a teasing smile
"Stop it," she said with a red face
Kimi then butted in and said "Mother how about you give me a hug" with a teasing smile while stretching her hands wide open
"Stop it you too, I'll go to my room and sleep" She then walked towards one of the 3 rooms
Mizuna and Kimi looked at each other with wide smiles
"Aunt Kimi, I'll be heading out"
"Don't tell me you!?... " she was about to say something but Mizuna covered her mouth
He whispered "Shsss we are no longer at the inn, we are surrounded by skilled shinobis now" Kimi nodded then gently removed his hand that was covering her mouth
"I'll come with you," she said. Mizuna then shook his head "It will look suspicious if the two of us go outside together after just arriving here. And you're a Uchiha, adopted or not they will surely keep an eye out for you"
"Then let's do it tomorrow," she says worriedly. Mizuna then shook his head again and said "Remember what you answered, risk my life to get stronger. I'll do just that. And I'm a young lord of the Hyuga, no one here will do anything to me" Mizuna said with a smile
'well at least that's what I think'
Mizuna then started wearing an all-black cloth and covered it with a normal Konohagakure villager's attire. He then heads out leaving the anxious Kimi behind him
He's walking towards the entrance of the Hyuga clan when suddenly two shinobis kneeled in front of him
They said "We greet the eldest young lord, I am Kenzo" "and I am Asami" "we are tasked by the clan leader to protect you," they said while looking down at the ground and kneeling on one knee
