CHAPTER 1 - HEIR OF THE HOUSE OF GENERALS , KEN YAMAMOTO HIDEYORI

It was the 4th of January at the depth of the dark night while winter was at its highest , the fire capital was in an eerie silence and there were no one in the streets .

a woman deep in a huge manor was wailing in pain , this was yumi hideyori the second wife of the the daimyo wazakashi hideyori .

her water just broke and she was about to go to labour , she got up from her futon and grabbed her night blue katana , she attached it to her hip and slid open the door looking for people , seeing the coast clear she ran out the room and started sprinting outside in the dark

from around the corner maids started running towards yumi with kunais hidden in their sleeves and yumi just ran while she took her katana out and appeared behind the maids , their heads slid off with minimum bloodshed

she ran again using all her strength and when she reached another manor , hundreds of ninja appeared from konoha and they leapt forward with Thier kunais he'll bent on killing yumi.

the manor yumi was running to was the Yamamoto military family , her family .

as she was about to reach the entrance of the manor dozens of ninja had already reached her and as a tanto was about to impale her throat , a blinding light of unbearable heat was summoned and the hundreds of ninja died melting in the heat .

yumi slumped to the ground crying and an old man with his katana unsheathed and flames still on his blade walked towards the woman

he stopped before her and removed his overcoat and wrapped it around yumi

he then grabbed her in a protective way and leapt towards the manors doctor .

that night the cries of a woman echoed throughout the capital and on the break of dawn a cry from a baby was heard from all the corners off the capital , even to the chambers of the first wife of the daimyo who broke her arm chair and threw her teapot in rage.

In the hands of yumi was a small boy with reddish black hair and a birthmark on his forehead.

all around her were men and nurses running about .

The old man from before and a old lady along with 3 bulky young men all came forward to see yumi and the infant.

the old man said as he came forward " how are you daughter ?"

the old man was named genryusai shigeki Yamamoto , the previous head of the military .his authority was just below the daimyo but his influence made daimyo look like an inexperienced kid .

"just a little tired from yesterday .....but every time I see his face I forget all the hardships I had faced last year ..."

"what will you name him sister ?" asked the young bulky man beside the genryusai , he was kanjuro Yamamoto the eldest of the family aside from yumi , he had a very successful business that ranged from fire capital to wind capital.

" I will name him ken Yamamoto hideyori , grandpa kawasumis last wish was to name him after the legendary samurai of the sun ken masamune" said yumi fondly looking at her son .

" a splendid name ....but that aside what will we do with the hideyori family ? your word will be taken above all " genryusai said while clenching his staff raging at her daughter's mistreatment .

"no....it's pointless....it will only lead to more unnecessary death ....leave it ....at the end I am still alive ..." yumi said with a wry smile ,warm in her heart that her family cares for her but then her whole demeanour changed when she said the next words .

but before genryusai stopped along with the brothers and said something without looking back to yumi that gave yumi a grim face

"as the first born son ...he will be the heir of the Yamamoto clan of generals and his life will be in your hands yumi.....take care of him and yourself "

yumi nodded while clenching the sheets of her bed .her katana vibrating feeling it's master's rage and emotions .

tateos eyes glowed yellow and her body leaked small pressure that fainted the nurses and servants in the room.

In the chambers of oasumi fudeyoshi , all around her were broken and smashed objects like teapots clothes and so forth , even before her was the servants of her manor and she killed them from whipping and kicking them .

all of a sudden a chill went through her spine and her knees felt weak she collapsed to the ground and pissed on the floor , after her daze she got up and changed her clothes and shouted the servants to dispose the servant whom she killed saying that the servant had pissed herself when she asked something .

oasumi Walked away holding her fan and her entourage behind her and there was a dread feeling in her stomach .

this dread proved to be true in the unforseable future .
