40 Chapter 40 : Team 7 Rescue 3

Sasuke knew that he couldn't beat someone like Orochimaru. But he still gave his best, when both Ino and Choji joined he never thought that they still had any chance against him but maybe they could run away. He was an idiot.

There was no way that they had any chance against Orochimaru. Not even running away. But then Naruto arrived, loudmouth like usual and with a small army of his own. Sasuke doesn't know what to say. He was a strong shinobi with whom even he had to agree but ultimately he was the Dobi. 

But apparently Dobi for the first time pushed Orochimaru back. Once again a little hope was rising inside him. He uses some kind of new jutsu, something powerful. Something...something which even Orochimaru was scared of. 

He was this close to walking up to the Dobi and asking what kind of Jutsu that was, if possible to teach him as well. He didn't want to ask that of the Dobi but he needed power so even if that meant asking the Dobi, he would do that. 

But thought that immediately changed as Orochimaru once again went off the offensive. 

Sasuke and others were planning to go and help out Naruto but that was the time when the proctor lady from earlier came in. Sasuke didn't remember her name was Anko. 

And here was it, for the first time in the fight, someone gave an actual fight to Orochimaru. Finally, a real chance to beat Orochimaru. But that was an illusion. Though Anko was strong, she was still not a match for Orochimaru.

Now Sasuke had two choices, either to run away from here with his team and let Anko fight Orochimaru alone, or either go and join the fight against Orochimaru. He was torn between these two choices. But before he could even do anything, Naruto was already rushing back to the fight to aid Anko. 

"Damn Dobi," Sasuke chided but even after grumbling he rush right into the fight. And even Choji and Ino tag.

They did their best, tried to push back Orochimaru even had time to run away but there was no escaping him. The only way out was to either Anko or Naruto with Nine Tail powers hold Orochimaru back. 

And ultimately the battle ended when Anko was captured by Orochimaru. He didn't want to kill her, that was obvious but he had to go rough when those genin and her dear student were making things hard for him.

Seeing that finally, the genin are out of their rebellious phase, he use his jutsu. Suddenly his long neck extended, looking much like a snake, and went for Sasuke.

During the fight, he realizes that Naruto is the Jinchuriki of Nine Tails. Earlier he wanted to target Naruto, but now he has changed his plan. His curse seal might not work when the Nine Tail is inside the boy. 

There is also the fact that the Biju chakra might even hurt him.

As Orochimaru's head reaches close to Sasuke, a horrified look appears on Sasuke's look. It was like he was looking at death coming towards him. But he can't do anything. But to see Orochimaru with his fangs out coming at him. 

"Not so quick." 

Just when Orochimaru was about to bite Sasuke's neck and give the curse seal to him, a sound came. Of course, the sound was not enough to stop the sannin. What stopped him was a lightning bolt directly targeting at his extended head.

This made everyone snap their necks to where the sound came. They knew this voice. Before. 

"Shikamaru," Ino and Choij almost cried out with tears in their eyes. But the dangerous glare in their eyes was masterfully captured by the Nara. He made sure that there was enough distance between him and his teammates, at this time he might be in more danger closer to both Ino and Choji compared to Orochimaru. 

"Not Again," Orochimaru said with a dangerous glint in his eyes. This was the fourth time when someone appeared out of nowhere to disturb him. But he was sure that the Nara boy in front of him wasn't the one who launched the lightning Jutsu right now. 

Looking up, he realizes that there is a giant bird flying right on top of him. Strange that he never sensed the bird before. 

"Do you also want to try and save your comrades," Orochimaru asked with a venom voice. He sounded more frustrated than angry.

"Hmm, that's the plan yes," Shikamaru replied with an awkward expression on his face. 

"Alright, then make it quick." Orochimaru replied with plain bored tone. Shikamaru on the other hand was a little confuse.

'What does that mean. ?'

If only he new that how annoyed Orochimaru was currently after getting disturbed so many times.
