37 Chapter 37 : Karin Chan

After making a plan, Shikamaru created a clone and sent it to rescue Karin. He dont need anything more than a single clone to safe Karin and make sure that she is far away from that handsome bastard. 

It doesn't matter anyway considering right now Orochimaru was going after Team 7. So this was the best time to bring Karin into his team. 

He wanted to do the same with Haku but that boy/girl is just too willful for that. He just hoped Karin just choose better.

But even his clone had his signature lazy demeanour, clone strolled through the foliage, muttering to himself about the sheer inconvenience of the situation. Why does the real one have to summon him, why not some other clone? Why him? This was so troublesome.

Such a Drag.

As he approached Karin's team, he found the particular dynamics of their team. To simply state they were not much buddy-buddy.

The girl was quite roughened up, with multiple bite marks in her arms even though she is just 12 right now. 

Red hair with fair skin. Still the bad eyesight and typical trait of Uzumaki hyperactiveness.

But even after being surrounded by two guys, the girl seems like holding good for herself. Overall she got spunk.

Maybe he has to take this rescue seriously afterall. Clone couldn't help but sigh. "Troublesome... now what do I do? Wait until that animal, can't remember which, attack Karin or just be the hero and shout. 'I AM HERE,'"

So he watched until Karin was being attacked before he stepped into action, seamlessly manipulating the shadows to redirect the Bear away from her.

Something like this was pretty easy for him. After all that training, he really has grown quite a bit.

Karin who almost saw death coming for her, slowly opened her eyes only to see a pineapple head standing in front of her with a lazy face. 

"You okay," Clone was supposed to act like the prince charming but that was too troublesome. He didn't even bother to give the famous princess carry to the beautiful red hair. 

Guess this Uzumaki princess is not getting a Minato. 

"Hmm, who are you ?" Karin lost her glasses before, so the clone had to help her out.

Shikamaru flashed a half-hearted grin, "Just your friendly neighbourhood lazy ninja. Though you can call me Shikamaru, pretty lady." Clone twisted his tongue not sure how many times to complete this sentence, but all for his future lazy life where he has many friends to handle problems while he rests until he reaches hell.

And at least got an unhealthy amount of blush from the red-haired girl, making her look like a ripe apple. Ready to be eaten by hi...."WTF,"

Shaking his mind, he put his 200 IQ to the test and came up with a good enough reason for her to join Konoha. 

He is sure that Hokage will let her in. Another Uzumaki in the village is always welcome. But Danzo will be a problem but he can think about it later. 

Karin, still catching her breath, eyed him suspiciously. "Why would I join your village?"

'Well, it show time,' Clone gave a Shikamaru's trademark 'such a drag,' look.

Shikamaru's white divine wolf was running in front of them while Ino and Choji were following the dog.

Shikamaru's plan was simple, hold back Orochimaru for as long as possible until the reinforcement arrived.

Considering the distance between Orochimaru and Team 7, Shikamaru might have around an hour before Team 7 gets attacked by Orochimaru. 

But he is sending his team ahead of him. There is only one reason. While his Shadow clone has gone after the Jonin. 

He planned to go and convince Anko to help. As for Kabuto, he after thinking much has decided to not go after him right now. But he will before this exam ends. He will make sure that that damn medic doesn't leave this forest... ever.

Choji scratched his head, "I didn't understand Shikamaru's plan, where did he go again?"

Ino, eyeing the majestic creature, added, "Who knows, but just do what he said, that guy might be a lazy ass but his strategy works. Let's just go with it."

Without wasting time on explanations, Shikamaru's wolf took both Ino and Choji where Team 7 was. He

As they journeyed through the forest, Shikamaru's wolf led them to the rendezvous point where Team 7 was. Took less than an hour but they were already facing a formidable enemy.

The moment they arrive where Sasuke is fighting an ugly-looking kunoichi, they are blasted with Orochimaru's killing intent. And both of them were stunned on the spot.

'Shikamaru only said that it's a dangerous criminal to them, never saying who exactly he was.' that bastard Ino internally muttered after experiencing Orochimaru's killing intent.

Even Choji was sweating much, his chips long forgotten. 'And now they have to fight against him until Shikamaru comes back,'

Gulp.

Shikamaru at this time was rushing at its top speed towards Anko. He has to hurry.

Even he has send a Shadow Clone to bring help but still, he he knew that that could tell time.
