27 Chapter 27 : Training Hard

By the time Shikamaru came back, he saw his team and team 7 training hard. Well, it was only tree walking for team 7 but still, it count.

Because of him, his team is already way ahead of other teams. Choji currently was sparing with Asuma while Ino was doing water walking training. She can do it actually, but she was training in it to expand her chakra reserves.

Raising his eyebrows, there was a small smile on the corner of his mouth, 'Maybe those words really worked,' Shikamaru couldn't help but smirk a little.

This time around there won't be any second attack by the demon of the mist, so he was pretty relaxed. 

He wasn't tired so decided to join them. 

"Bastard, this is becuase of you that sensei turns into a training machine. Why do you have to open your mouth, Shikamaru," Ino shouted as she saw Shikamaru coming with his hands in his pocket not even looking at her.

"Your Welcome," Shikamaru didn't give two shit and kept on walking, he doesn't care, he just planned to stay away from all kinds of blondes this time around.

He has seen the anime, blondes have always given him trouble. Naruto, Shikamaru has to handle his office work after he took the Hokage position. Ino, throughout childhood that girl has been a pain in the ass and finally her dear future wife. Fu*k her, no no he means that he will never fu*k her or go near her.

We all know what kind of life Shikamaru lived after marrying Temari, so no not happening. He rather has someone like Hinata or he will stay single. Yup, not getting any action is fine rather than getting someone so troublesome like the girls in the village or even Temari.

But whatever, he doesn't have to worry about something like that. Right now all of his worries should be kept for his own survival and and the survival of this crazy world.

"So you are finally here, done training ?" Asuma asked as both Sasuke and Naruto looked at him from the side where Kakashi was teaching them how to walk on trees, well more like reading the po*n while acting like he was teaching.

"Yeah, what about you guys? Suddenly you all look much Motivated," he said as he looked around seeing others working hard all of a sudden.

 "Yeah kiddo, your motivation speech just got to all of us," Asuma replied while laughing.

"Ah, I see," That was his simple response before going back to his own training. He wasn't planning on using his ten shadows in front of others if he didn't have to and thus he just kept to Taijustu and other things.

After training, Shikamaru finally got some time to nap, as he saw the sun setting, everyone went back to the house, everyone except Naruto and Sasuke.

Upon thinking, he ponders whether he should go there and talk with those two trouble makers or not. 

This is a really troublesome decision for him to make. Making his team better is fine, hell even indirectly improving the entire Konoha 12 is fine. Except just these two.

The two sons of destiny who will change the world. He ponders over this question from day 1 since he regains his knowledge. Should he or should he not change their future?

Like helping Naruto train, and telling them who his parents were. 

And what about Sasuke, should he tell the truth to him, should he tell him that Itachi is innocent, how will the future change if he does so?

This question haunted him, he honestly didn't understand how so many fanfic MCs could just let the story progress after knowing that they could change everything with just few words.

"Ahh Sasuke Teme, you just clicked your tongue at me didn't you," Naruto shouted after falling from the tree.

"Yo Naruto, Sasuke. How is your training going on so far," Shikamaru shook his head and just shook all those thoughts out of his head. Maybe he will change the future for good or for worse but that has to wait, right now he needs to first contact with them. 

After regaining his memories, he hasn't interacted with them enough, only a little with Naruto during the forbidden scroll case but absolutely nothing with Sasuke.

"Ah Shikamaru, what are you doing here," Naruto asked.

"Just lost in the road of life,"

Twitch Twitch.

Both of them suddenly snap their heads towards Shikamaru like they saw a ghost. Their suspicious eyes dig holes in Shikamaru's head.

"Oi oi, why are you looking at me like that, come on Quit it," he after some time couldn't handle it said with irritation clear in his voice.

"You..you.. how you know this line," Naruto asked with a shaky voice, almost sounding like he was mentally scarred by those words. Sasuke too looked pretty similar, he was fairing better than Naruto but Shikamaru could have sworn that if his eyes were a little wider then those Sharingan eyes would be rolling on the ground by now.

Sighing, he mentally noted that he shouldn't give this kind of shock to these two, damn Kakashi what kind of mental scars is he leaving on these innocent children.

"Just reading a book, nothing important," Shikamaru tactically pushed all the blame onto Jiriaya's book.

Both of them suddenly perk up, like they figure out the truth behind the dark matter. Shikamaru saw the determination in their eyes like they were ready to destroy the world. Although Shikamaru is suspicious that their newly found hostility was towards one orange book very dear to their Jonin sensei.

Well good luck with that, it's a hundred years too early for you soft boil eggs to to pull a fast one on Kakashi Hatake the copy ninja of the leaf.

"Forget about that, tell me how your training is going. Looking at you, it seems like you are training more about how to fall rather than walk," Shikamaru said as he looked at all the wounds on Naruto while comparing that to Sasuke and his spotless figure. Well, he too was running out of chakra, full of dirt and of course, sweating and panting.

"Ha, you are mocking me, don't you? You just compare me with Sasuke Teme right " Naruto shouted in irritation. Well not much irritation, but if he doesn't shout then he is not a classic idiot Shonen protagonist, now is he?

"No no, I'm just praising how hard-working you are, if we are not talking about your progress then I have to say that you are doing very well. After all, there are not many who can keep on going even after failing so many times as you have." Shikamaru tactfully said to avoid the upcoming tantrum from Naruto which he saw from a mile away.

"Hmm hehe, Of course I will be Hokage in the future, You know," Naruto said with a bashful look on his face.

He is too easy man, how the hell did he become Hokage? How is Konoha even standing after he took office?

Shikamaru was wondering but then he realised why, his future version was also there to handle the mess this idiot made. 

"Anyway, do you want any help? I have some time on my hands. I have already mastered this training," Shikamaru sighed and finally offered his help. 

After all, he shouldn't mess with the plot too much, maybe later on but not right now.
