15 Chapter 15 : Land Of Snow Arc 1

Before going to the land of Snow, team 10 was required to know who their client was in the first place, and thus they came to watch the latest Princess Gale movie. Now for a modern age man, well boy as he was not that old when he died back then but whatever, he was not at all interested in this movie, the acting was sloppy and the story was quite simple, in fact even without his 200+ IQ, he could easily tell how the movie will go and end with just under 20 minutes of the run time.

Yawning he slowly came out of the cinema, not wanting to waste his time, he looked around, they were currently at the edge of the Fire country. One of the big cities to be exact. After thinking about it, Shikamaru thought that he should just take a nap. Most likely he won't get time later to rest.

It's rare to find a cosy place to nap, looking around he finds a wall which was blocking the sunlight expertly and at first look, he knows that this is it, it is pretty hard to get into a relaxed posture to actually fall asleep. Slowly sitting down, he finds the place cool, away from the sunlight and suddenly another yawn escapes his mouth. 

"Yep, this is it," with satisfaction, he was about to close his eyes and fall into a blessed slumber but at this time, another shadow beside the wall was cast on top of him. Acting on reflexes, Shikamaru immediately got up.

Only then did he see a horse pass through him. Furrowing his burrows sigh, there is no way to nap while outside in this place. Shaking his head he was about to go back to sleep but at that time, suddenly Asuma appeared out of nowhere and said.

"That's the target we need to protect you know," 

"What...." Shikamaru didn't register the words in one go but later when he realized he immediately jolted up and ran behind the horse, only then did he see that many other people were chasing the girl who was riding the horse. 

"Troublesome," saying this, Shikamaru rush out. Although he was not sure why the other guys were chasing the target, he in the end decided to stop them. 

"Shadow Clone," 

The Horses were faster than him obviously so he had to take a shortcut, running on top of the building and cutting the distance short, he was able to at least catch up the chasers. 

'Shadow Rabbit's Emergence,' Shikamaru landed in front of the chasers and then forming a familiar hand sigh, immediately summoned an army of white Rabbit blocking the the horses. Ultimately the chasers had to stop on their track.

While this was happening, the Shadow clone chased after the real target, 'Yukie Fujikaze'. 

Extending his shadow, the clone caught the horse in its track. Of course, stopping an entire horse is pretty hard but this was exactly what he was training in all this time, being able to stop powerful beings. 

Although this stopped the horse, it was a little too sudden for Yukie, who lost balance and fell.

Shikamaru retreated from his shadow and masterfully grabbed the falling girl. Getting a good grab of her assets while he was at it.

Only later did the team realize that those chasers were not the bad guys, it was Yukie Fujikaze who ran away from her crew as she didn't want to go back to the Land of Snow.

Shikamaru at least remembered that the actress in front of her was the real princess of the country, running away from her uncle who captured the country and overrule her father. 

It was a pretty lame plot. But it has nothing to do with him, rolling his eyes, he just delivered the girl back to her crew/retainers and then went back to sleep.

"Oi wakes up Shikmaru," Ino shouted disturbing Shikamaru's nice nap, it's not normal for him to nap nowadays, he usually trains all day, and the only reason he is getting to nap is because he can't train when outside the village. 

'If I act like I am in deep sleep, will she leave' Shikamru thought as he was pondering to answer the annoying blonde or go back to his sweet nap. 

" I will complain to Aunt Yoshino that you were napping during the mission, " Ino threatened.

This made Shikamaru twitch his eyes, he remember this used to happen back then when he used top lazy around and haven't gotten these memories , it had been a long time since he heard this threat.

"Troublesome, blonde" Shikamaru muttered to himself and opened his eyes.

"What do you want, Ino." 

"Yukie Fujikaze ran off, help us find her," Ino replied looking down at Shikamaru.

"I knew this mission is gonna be a drag,"

Grumblingly he stood up and finally said," Okay let's try this out then,"

He said this and then made a hand sigh, 'Divine Dog,' He internally thought, although calling out the name is not important he has to imagine the image of the dogs in his mind. So calling out helps. But now he has learned how to summon the spirit by just thinking about them.

To the surprise of both Ino and Choji, Asuma was not there, two dogs came out of Shikamaru's shadow. One white and one black. 

"You have a new summons," both Choji and Ino looked at the wolves in front of them and their eyes shone. Even Shikamaru has to say that they are pretty cute when they are separated into smaller wolves because the grey big wolf is nothing but a menace. 

Thinking about it, Shikamaru just shook his eyes and said to both Ino and Choji, " Meet Black and White. They are my Summon Spirit Wolves," 

"Boo, your naming sense is the worse, white and black really," Ino chided and but again was attracted by the two cute wolves. 

"Fine the girl with this smell on her," Shikamaru took out a piece of clothing and let both the wolves sniff it.

"How do you get that," Ino asked with narrowing her eyes.

"She ran once, she can run again, I just happen to take it to just be sure,"
