The Child and The Sage

Profound Sky continent, Blue Wind Empire,

Near the borders of a small city called the Floating Cloud City, a small child can be seen walking through the forest, she was no more than 5 years old with ink-black hair and black eyes,

This was Xia Qingyue, the daughter of a rich merchant from the Floating cloud city, Xia Hongyi,

Right now, she was walking the forest to clear her mind after a few hours of cultivation,

"Is that a Fire Dragon??" she exclaimed in awe as she looked at a massive dragon that was sleeping by the side of the cave which was bizarre in itself, for a fire dragon was known for its great strength and violent temper, furthermore, she was able to vaguely sense that the dragon was at the pinnacle of Earth Profound realm,

She then looked around to find even more powerful Profound beasts lying by the cave, but what surprised her was that there were many beasts that were enemies by nature, yet they still coexisted, such as the Silver Wolf and the Flaming Cat, the IronBack Snake and the Scarlet Mongoose, and so on,

as she continued to examine the beasts, she came to a startling conclusion that most of the beasts in the vicinity had already surpassed the Earth Profound Realm, most of them were peak Sky profound Realm creatures while she could simply not see through the cultivation of some of the other beasts,

It was not just the Profound beasts that were mysterious about the cave, she also found many rare plants and medicinal herbs that she had learned from her father to be very rare and expensive,

As she continued to examine the area, she failed to notice that the beasts around the area had suddenly lowered their heads as a middle-aged man with blond hair and blue eyes and whisker marks on his cheeks wearing an orange shirt and black pants with a white coat was standing behind her, observing her movements.

"What are you doing here little girl?" he asked with a kind smile on his face which morphed into an amused smile as he saw the girl jump and move some distance away,

Qingyue looked at the mysterious man that had suddenly appeared of nowhere, she still remembered what her father had said about strangers so she remained cautious, unlike other children, she was very mature for her age and knew that there were both good and bad people, this was due to the ability that she was born with that allowed her to sense the intentions of others in her vicinity,

As she was examining the man in front of her, the man was doing the same to her,

'is this some kind of coincidence? she seems to possess the Nine Profound Exquisite Body and if my guess is not wrong, the Heart of Snow Glazed Glass as well, ever since that lass Yue Wugou arrived on this world this is the second time i am seeing this type of physique' he thought to himself as he continued observing the girl, waiting for her to say something, and he was not disappointed,

"Who are you? what is this place?" she asked in a surprisingly cold voice, however, it seemed forced, The man grinned and said

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, as for what this place is, it is my home, what is your name?" he asked to which the girl slowly replied while keeping her guard up,

"Xia Qingyue," she said slowly, she had honestly not wanted to say anything to him, but her ability did not detect any kind of malice from him, she was also unable to see through his cultivation, thus she decided to introduce herself,

"Hello Qingyue, do you want to eat something? " he said as he gestured towards the cave, normally Xia Qingyue would reject such offers from a person she had never met, but for some reason, she felt that she could trust this man,

She nodded as she followed the man inside the cave, but immediately became alert the moment she felt some kind of barrier erect itself to seal off the cave after she entered,

"Don't worry, it is a simple dimensional seal to separate us from the real world, you can go out of it any moment you want" Naruto said as he pushed his had out of the barrier for her to see, only then did she calm down, but the moment she did, she came to realize that the energy that was keeping the barrier up was not profound energy, it was something much more flexible and potent, yet at the same time very gentle and calm, she immediately realized that this was the same kind of energy she was feeling from Naruto,

After that, she slowly started to ask him many questions to which Naruto would give vague answers to her, he would then ask her questions to which she herself would reply with vague answers, unknowingly, they had spent an entire day in the same back and forth probing,

As Qingyue realized the time, she immediately left the cave and headed back home, Naruto had one of the beasts near the cave take her back home,

AS he watched the girl depart he started thinking back to the event of that day, honestly, he found the way the girl tried to act like an adult and fail miserably to be very cute and endearing, she reminded him very much of his old life from over 3 billion years ago,

Honestly, ever since he came to this world all those years ago, he had given up all hope and had simply wanted to die, however, thanks to Ni Xuan or as he preferred to call himself, the Evil God, he came to realize that he was incapable of dying, at least by natural means, he spent the next decade learning about this universe from him and at one point, tried to cure him of his poison, however, at that time, he still did not have the prowess he had now, thus, he watched helplessly as another friend that he had made in this world died.

After that, he spent most of his time wandering around the world practicing his chakra, he soon realized that there was so much more to chakra than their people had ever realized,

for the next billion years, he had achieved such control over the chakra, that he could now literally do anything he wanted with it, and his chakra reserves were nothing to scoff at either, soon after he arrived on this planet, he had realized that his chakra was already on par with the Ten-Tails which was near Infinite, but after all these years, he already had chakra reserves that were immeasurable, it did not stop there however, he soon discovered that instead of having a single or multiple elements, his chakra had been purified into its most basic and most potent form, Nature Chakra,

It was also the side effect of his chakra that the Profound Beasts in his immediate vicinity would calm down and become peaceful.

He had also achieved unimaginable prowess in fuinjutsu, taijutsu, and ninjutsu, he still sucked at genjutsu however, it would seem that no matter how much of an absolute and fine control he had on his chakra, he was simply incapable of casting illusions, that is without his Rinnegan and Sharingan, if he was to use those abilities, not even a true god would be able to escape the illusions,

He shook his head as he dispelled his thoughts and stared off into the direction where he sent off the girl,

"Looks like it will be interesting in the future" he mumbled to himself as he disappeared into the cave,
