"So as you can see there's a big turnout this year. All of these teams are the best of their villages. Well, I'm not sure about Otogakure, The Village Hidden in the Sound since they just started up last year they're pretty small time and only managed to send one team. "

" You hear that? He called us small time." Dosu Kinuta said. Dosu is a shinobi of Otogakure and also the unofficial leader of Team Dosu.

Dosu had bandages covering most of his face, leaving only his left eye and eyebrow uncovered.

He also wore a large poncho with long sleeves, a snake patterned scarf around his neck, a straw raincoat protruding from the back of his scarf, and a large amplifier on his right arm for most of his attacks. His back was hunched, which made him look smaller than he actually was. He had short black buzzcut hair.

"Why don't give him a piece of our mind Dosu?" Kin Tsuchi, a member of Team Dosu suggested. Kin had fair skin, black eyes with very long black hair, almost reaching down to her calves, tied by a violet ribbon right near the end.

She wore a forehead protector, a pale green vest somewhat similar to a flak jacket, snake patterned pants with a snake patterned skirt over it, and a snake patterned scarf around her neck, much like her teammates.

"That's too tame Kin, I think we should do more than just that." Zaku Abumi, the third member of Team Dosu suggested with a grin on his face.

Zaku had spiky, black hair and dark eyes. He wore a beige shirt with two black stripes and three prints of the kanji for death down the front.

His forehead protector had an attached happuri under the cloth rather than connected to the metal plate, resembling Yamato's. As with his teammates Dosu and Kin, he wore a snake-patterned scarf around his neck.

"Yeah…let's show them what these small time Oto shinobi are capable of. Let's help him add that Oto Shinobi can be quite vicious." Dosu muttered right before he and his teammates disappeared.

Only a few of the genin within the room could see them; those being the team of Kumo ninja, the Three Sand Siblings, Team Nine, Team 7, Shikamaru and Kabuto.

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he saw the Oto trio close in on them. He doesn't know who their target was, but there was no way he was going to allow them to hurt his comrades.

Zaku threw two kunai at Kabuto who stepped out of the way, letting the kunai embed to the ground. Kabuto looked to see Dosu right in front of him with Kin and Zaku on his left and right.

Dosu swung his right hand at Kabuto but before his punch could land, Naruto appeared in front of him and grabbed it.

"Shannaro!!!" Sakura shouted as she punched Dosu right in the face sending him flying halfway through the room and crashing into the wall. He crashed so hard that he created a small crater in it.

Dosu's teammates rushed to help but they suddenly lost all control in their bodies. Shikamaru smirked as he used his Shadow Possession Jutsu to prevent them from making a move.

The Shadow Possession Jutsu is the signature technique of the Nara clan. The user manipulates their shadow across a surface to merge it with a target or targets' shadow.

The user can stretch their shadow however they wish in order to accomplish this goal, but they are limited by their shadow's surface area. If a target can move far enough away from the Shadow Imitation's user, they are theoretically safe from it.

But there are ways around this, the user's shadow can freely move within other shadows, extending its range. Once a user merges their shadow with a target's, the target cannot move on their own other than to talk.

The only movements they are able to make are those that the user makes. If the user walks forward, the target walks forward. If the user raises their right hand, the target raises their right hand.

Nara tend to wear their shuriken holsters in atypical locations so that, when they reach for and throw shuriken, their targets will reach for and throw nothing.

"Shadow Possession Jutsu, complete." Shikamaru muttered. Choji looked and saw that Shikamaru had divided his shadow into two parts so that it possessed Kin and Zaku at the same time.

"I don't know who the fuck you troublesome retards think you are, but if you're going to attack a Konoha shinobi in Konoha territory then you're basically asking for a death wish and the annihilation of your village." Shikamaru muttered before opening his shuriken pouch and took out two kunai. Kin and Zaku followed his movements but reached out for nothing.

"Tell your boss to stand down. Or you'll fail the first stage right here." Shikamaru added seriously before raising his hand that was holding the two kunai. He was aiming at their heads.

Kin and Zaku looked at him with absolute fear in their eyes as they copied his exact movements like they were being possessed.

'Geez! Shikamaru's so scary! Where was he hiding this side of him?!' Ino shouted in her mind while shivering a little when she looked at Shikamaru's emotionless expression.

'Since when can Shikamaru divide his shadow?!' Choji shouted in his mind while munching his chips vigorously.

" Ya hear that?" Satsuki asked Dosu as he got out of the wall he crashed into. Dosu looked up to see Satsuki with her Sharingan activated and a kunai pointing to his Adam's Apple.

"M-mercy...." Dosu who had no choice, raised his hands up and surrendered.

"I dare you to try it again! The next time you try that shit, I'll make sure Sakura will get you acquainted with that wall so well you'll be one with the wall forever!" Naruto threatened while leaking out his killing intent. Hinata gulped while looking at Naruto's scary expression.

'W-wow. Naruto-kun is so scary. ' Hinata thought, not knowing why she liked the killing intent he was leaking.

"Alright that's enough!! Quiet down you little shits!!" A rough voice shouted as there was a puff of smoke appearing in the middle of the room.

When it cleared it revealed Ibiki Morino. Ibiki is a tokubetsu jonin. He is the leader of the Konohagakure Intelligence Division, and more specifically the commanding officer of the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force.

Ibiki has a large, imposing figure, which he complements with a rugged head and face covered with old wounds and scars. Ibiki's head is always covered by his bandana forehead protector to conceal a collection of burn marks, punctures from where screws were used, and long slash marks.

The scars are indicative of the physical torture he has endured in the past, and illustrates his capacity to endure pain without giving up the desired information to the enemy.

He wears a darker version of the standard uniform of the Intelligence Division, along with a black trench coat and gloves.

Behind Ibiki were a dozen Chunin in similar outfits minus the trench coat. Naruto spotted Izumo and Kotetsu who were among the group.

"I'm Morino Ibiki, the proctor for this exam. So long as I'm here there will be no fighting! Do I make myself clear!" Ibiki growled out while leaking killing intent, scaring the shit out of most genins in the room. He glared at the Oto Shinobi before glaring at Naruto.

However when he did, he felt a little pale. Naruto smirked to himself. He and Ibiki met each other in The Dango Shop which is a popular, well-known shop in Konohagakure that's famous for its dango.

The Dango Shop was one of the few shops in Konoha that would allow him in and won't overcharge the prices when he tried to purchase something from the establishment.

Naruto, Ibiki and a couple more Shinobi from I&T were poker buddies. Naruto looked at Ibiki with a smirk on his face.

"Yo, scar face. You're proctoring this exam? I thought you would be in I&T torturing people until they shit themselves with big sis Anko. "

" Uzumaki, I had not realized you were going to be in these exams. I thought Kakashi was going to wait for one more year." Ibiki mumbled while he was visibly uncomfortable by the mischievous grin on Naruto's face.

"Oh, you know me. I always gotta be a part of the action and Kakashi sensei thinks we're ready for it anyways. It's a good thing you're here by the way, since you still owe me 2000 Ryō from last week's poker game."

" Unless of course you want me to tell these wonderful genin about the time you *cough* dropped your *cough cough* underpants *cough cough* while interrogating someone *Cough*... "

The blond held out his hand, smirking as Ibiki began grumbling a bit before pulling out his wallet.

"How you managed to convince Anko to let you into our poker game I'll never know. I hope it never happens again." Ibiki grumbled before he placed 2000 Ryō in the blonde's hand.

Naruto grinned while putting the money in his froggy wallet, Gama-chan. "Must be embarrassing getting cleaned out by a twelve year old Genin. But that's life right? Well it's a pleasure doing business with you scar face. "

Naruto walked through the surprised crowd and made his way back towards the other rookies. Ino looked at him.

"Naruto, how do you know Ibiki-san?" She asked him. Naruto shrugged.

"By pure coincidence. This happened months ago. How do you know him?" Naruto asked the same question at her.

"That's easy, my dad was the former head of the I&T division, Ibiki-san worked under him as an apprentice for a time so I would often see him over at the house. " Ino explained casually.

" Huh, small world we live in."

"Now that that's out of the way, we will now start the first stage of the Chunin Exams. I want all of you to come up here and grab a tab so you can find your assigned seats. Once that is done the written test will begin. " Ibiki became annoyed when no one started moving.

" WELL GET A MOVE ON DAMNIT!!!! I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY!!!"

" YES SIR!!!! SORRY SIR!!!!"
