" That Genin of yours is most impressive, Lord Hokage. I don't think I've ever seen such an impressive and efficient strategy, not since the great war anyways." A commented. Hiruzen chuckled and nodded.
"He always has been one of my most surprising ninja. When he was young he would actually come up with complex pranks similar to this, it never ceased to amuse me."
"You don't say..." The Kazekage whispered as he stared at the blond Konoha shinobi down in the stadium. 'Such an ability! Such strategy! And to think I had almost disregarded him...Yes... he will make an excellent weapon.'
Several miles outside of Konoha, Jiraiya just finished disposing of another group of Suna and Oto Shinobi who were preparing a summoning seal.
Accompanying the Toad Sage were a group of Anbu assisting him. They knew that they would not be able to find all of the enemy shinobi and summoning seal arrays that the Toad Sage's former teammate had placed, but every little bit they could find helped.
As Jiraiya wiped the blood from a kunai he had used to slit the throat of one of the enemy ninja, he looked over at the stadium.
'I wonder how Naruto's doing. His battle was first so it should be finishing up soon, or maybe it's already finished.' Jiraiya thought as Eagle approached him.
"Lord Jiraiya, we have located another summoning seal array one mile east of here. " Eagle reported. Jiraiya nodded and cracked his knuckles.
" Then let's head out! The more of these summoning seals we destroy the better off Konoha will be!"
"Yes sir!"

A dozen miles away in a more secluded section of the forest, Gaara growled at anything and everything, especially the people who were taking his cage closer to Konoha.
Had it not been for the seals on the cage that suppressed his chakra, he would have already killed everyone here so that he could find the one person who could prove his existence.
"WHERE IS HE!? WHERE IS UZUMAKI!? MOTHER MUST HAVE HIS BLOOD! I MUST PROVE MY EXISTENCE!!!"

" Will Haruno Sakura and Karui please come down to the arena floor!?" Genma shouted. Sakura looked at Naruto and grinned at him.
"Gonna wish me luck?" The pink haired beauty asked the blonde. Naruto grinned broadly before he pulled her into a loving hug.
"Good luck, Sakura-chan." He whispered with a deep voice, making the pink haired kunoichi shiver and blush vividly.
"T-Thanks!" A red faced Sakura replied before she appeared on the arena floor with the Body Flicker Jutsu. Karui appeared in front of her the second later.
"Yo, Karui!! Your strength has gotten bigger!! Show them how strong Kumo women are, my nigga!!" Bee rapped energetically while Omoi who was standing beside him, sighed and palmed his face.
A looked at his adoptive brother and sighed too.
"I want a clean match you two. Ready.... Fight!!!"
The moment the fight started Karui wrapped her body with a layer of lightning chakra, increasing her physical parameters, enhancing her speed and reaction time. Her hair stuck up as lightning crackled violently around her.
"Lightning Release Chakra Mode." Hiruzen whispered as A smirked down at Karui.
"You might be thinking about how she knew such a technique. Anyone can use it, It's just basic elemental manipulation. My father and I only made it into a famous technique. " A explained as Karui unsheathed her katana which was also had a layer of lightning chakra crackling dangerously around it.
"Earth Style: Earth Spear." Sakura whispered as she flowed earth-natured chakra through all parts of her body, causing it to become noticeably darker, all while increasing her defensive power to become as hard as diamond. The destructive power of her physical attacks is also increased.
In a flash, Karui appeared in front of Sakura with her sword held in a high stance. "Cloud-Style: Crescent Moon Beheading!" Karui's declared before swinging her sword in a single, large, crescent moon-shaped arc.
Sakura dodged the attack before she threw a punch at Karui. Karui smirked to herself. 'Idiot! Earth Release is weaker than Lightning Release! And if you punch it, you'll get yourself electro—
*BAANG!!!!*
"Gakk!!!" Karui spat out blood as Sakura's punch pierced through the layer of lightning. She was punched straight in the solar plexus and was sent blasted towards the arena wall.
"Earth Style Barrier!!" Sakura declared as she summoned a solid wall behind Karui who gasped as she slammed into it. Karui had lost control of her technique. The layer of lightning around her body was gone.
"Cherry Blossom Impact!!! Shannaro!!!!"

Karui spat out blood from her mouth and several teeth flew out ofeher mouth as Sakura appeared in front of her and performed a chakra enhanced punch to her jaw.
Her punch was so powerful that Karui crashed through the wall snd slammed into the arena wall, Karui's eyes were rolled back as she slid down the wall and laid there unconscious.
"WINNER!! HARUNO SAKURA!!!"
"Damnit...." A cursed to him. Hiruzen looked at him.
"Do not worry, Lord Raikage. Karui is a skilled Shinobi. She was just unlucky when she was paired up against Sakura-chan." Hiruzen assured him.
" Is she trying to be the next Tsunade or something?" A grumbled.
" No, she's aiming to be better than her. " Hiruzen answered with a smile on his face. A didn't reply and leaned into Yugito who leaned into his ear to whisper something to him.
After hearing what she said, A nodded waved at her. Yugito nodded and disappeared via Body Flicker. Hiruzen noticed the small conversation but stayed silent about it.
"Will Temari of the Sand and Nara Shikamaru come down to the arena for the next match!!" Shikamaru looked at Naruto who smirked at him. The blonde held out his fist. "Good luck dude." Naruto muttered as they fist bumped each other.
"Don't need that." Shikamaru whispered back confidently before he jumped down to the arena. Temari opened up her war fan and jumpsd on it as she glided down to the arena.
"Remember, I want clean matches!! Ready.... Fight!!"
Shikamaru yawned as he stared at Temari, not moving an inch. Temari got annoyed at his antics immediately.
" If you won't move, then I will!!" Temari declared as she rushed towards Shikamaru. Shikamaru just watched her while he slowly backed up to the arena wall.
"Ha!!" Temari shouted as she swung her giant war fam at him.
*BOOM!!!*
The fan created a small explosion, destroying the ground and sending small rocks flying everywhere. When the dust cleared, it revealed Shikamaru with his back sticking against the wall via chakra.
"Fighting is a drag, especially against women. But I have a dream to work towards, so I guess I'll keep the complaints to myself." Shikamaru muttered.
" Oh yeah? What's kind of dream does a lazy bastard like you have?" Temari asked with a smirk on her face. Shikamaru raised his left hand and pointed at Naruto who was in the Shinobi booth above him.
Shikamaru smirked at Temari. "I promised him that I would be his Chief Aide when he becomes Hokage. And right now, you're in the way of my dream so please accept defeat before I absolutely humiliate you and the country you represent." Shikamaru request nicely. Temari growled as she fully unfurled her giant fan.
"Why you!!!" She shouted as she swung the fan, sending a giant gust of wind at Shikamaru to knock hi off the wall he was sticking on.
The wind created a lot of dust that covered the area around her and Shikamaru. When it cleared, it revealed that Shikamaru wasn't there anymore.
Ino stood up and raised her fists. "Bust her up Shika!!!! Get her with a 16 hit combo!!!!" She shouted. Shikamaru hummed as he appeared behind Temari who quickly turned around to face him.
"You're in my domain now." Shikamaru muttered. Temari smirked at him.
"Your domain? I know how you Nara fight. You use shadows and right now I don't see any of them except for the shadow of the wall behind me." Temari replied.
" Knowing that doesn't help you if you aren't aware of your surroundings." Shikamaru grumbled. Temari wondered what he meant and she widened her eyes immediately as she saw a shadow rushing towards her.
"Crap!" She cursed and started jumping away to avoid getting caught in Shikamaru's shadow. But he suddenly stopped his attack and the shadow retracted back into place.
Shikamaru performed the rat hand seal. "Fire Style: Shadow Fire Jutsu." He whispered. Shikaku who was watching him som fight widened his eyes as Shikamaru created solid shadow tendrils that floatdd in the air right beside Shikamaru.
The tendrils suddenly swiped downwards, sending multiple flaming blades at Temari who gritted her teeth and used the Substitution Jutsu in order to avoid getting sliced up by the attack.
*BOOOMM!!!*
"Heh. He actually did it." Shikaku whispered as he crossed his arms.
"Combining Fire Release with his Shadow, what a genius." Asuma whispered as he blew out a puff of smoke from his cigarette. Temari looked up at Shikamaru who was standing in the arena wall's shadow. The blonde quickly jumped as far away as possible from him in order to not get caught by his shadow.
The wall's giant shadow the engulfed almost half of the arena suddenly got darker, Inoichi narrowed his eyes as he looked at what was happening.
"He's inserting his chakra into the shadow. What's he doing?" Inoichi wondered. Shikamaru formed the rat seal.
" Yin release is governed by the imagination. The Nara clan has never been very creative in that regard. But someone's gotta step out of the comfort zone sooner or later. " Shikamaru narrowed his eyes at Temari.
"Ninja Art: Shadow Domain."
