23 Bell Test

"How tall am I?" Naruto asked his Shadow Clone who was measuring his height with a measuring tape.

"160.02cm, 5'3 basically." His Clone replied. Naruto smirked before dispelling his clone. He looked at the bathroom mirror in front of him. His body's physique is lean and full of muscles but not to a horrifying degree. It was enough to make girls admire it will a blush on their faces.

Naruto had went from the skinny malnutritioned kid to this piece of art. He ate healthier meals and trained. Naruto had also theorized that the Kyuubi had some hand in fixing his body when it had the necessary nutrients to increase his physical growth.

It was true but Naruto didn't know it. It was in fact the Kyuubi's chakra that was increasing his growth rate. Because he had been unable to get a decent meal from anywhere except Ichiraku Ramen, and their food was not healthy in the least, nearly half of the chakra circulating through the seal and into his body went into keeping his body as healthy as possible with the little amount of nutrients it had.

When Naruto was eating a decent mix of carbs, proteins and fats when he had a decent income doing deliveries for Hiruzen and selling sealing scrolls and exploding tags to weapons stores, the Kyuubi's chakra had more to work with, thus allowing it to increase his body's strength and physical attributes more easily.

Naruto walked into the kitchen as he finished dressing in his Shinobi attire and tying on his head band.

He sat down at his table as another Shadow Clone served him breakfast, grumbling about lazy ass originals before dispelling.

Grabbing a fork Naruto began to eat, scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, toast and orange juice, just about the only thing he could make that didn't taste like crap at the moment.

"Morning you two." Naruto smiled at Satsuki and Sakura as he arrived at training ground 3. Sakura smiled and greeted him back while Satsuki nodded at him.

Naruto studied the Training ground they were going to be fighting Kakashi in.

Training ground 3 is a portion of land located inside of Konoha. There is a view of mountains in the landscape and a large and deep river with forests in the both of its sides. There is a glade and in its centre there are three stumps lined side by side.

"Let's get started. I think we can have the advantage if we lay traps around the place. Not too much or else we'll get caught in them. " Naruto suggested. Satsuki nodded.

" You go do that. You're the expert in it after all." Satsuki replied as Naruto quickly held up his hands and crossed his index and middle fingers.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto declared, multiple plumes of smoke surrounded him as Naruto created five Shadow Clones who immediately rushed off and started laying traps around the training ground.

Satsuki raised a brow at him. " Since when can you do that? " Satsuki asked him. Naruto grinned at her.

" One week ago. It's a long story. Why are you asking, are you jealous or something?" Naruto asked with a teasing tone. Satsuki scowled at him.

"Don't try me, idiot. I still haven't beat your ass for kissing me the other day." Satsuki argued back. Sakura blushed, remembering the intimate seen her two teammates shared.

"I told you already! Kiba pushed me!"

"And you couldn't react fast enough to get out of the way?!"

"Same goes for you, bastard! You didn't even try! It's like you wanted me to kiss you or something!!"

" I did not!! "

A few hours later.....

Using the Body Flicker Jutsu, Kakashi appeared in training ground 7 and saw that the three Genin he was going to test sitting on the ground silently.

They all collectively deadpanned at him. "You're late." The three flatly stated in unison. Kakashi smiled under the mask.

" Sorry kids, I got lost in the road of life. That damn road has so many twists and turns, it reminds me of a roller coaster. " Kakashi replied nonchalantly, making the three sigh in defeat.

The jonin then reached into his pouch and pulled out a clock which he set on the training post in the middle. Reaching back into his pouch he pulled out two bells, which he attached to his pants and then pulled out two bento boxes.

"Now then, I am sure you're all wondering about your test." Kakashi paused for a moment as he gave them an eye smile.

"The test is simple; you have to get these two bells from me. Those who don't get a bell will be sent back to the academy for remedial training."

The trio widened their eyes in shock, making Kakashi laugh evilly in his mind.

"One of you will fail. And also, whoever doesn't get a bell will also be tied to one of these posts and will be forced to watch as the others eat their meals in front of you. " Kakashi added, expecting a reaction from the three. He then noticed that the kids didn't have hungry expressions on their faces.

'Hmm? They actually ate breakfast. I seriously underestimated how smart these kids are.' Kakashi thought as Sakura smiled at him.

"You only suggested that we don't eat, sensei. Considering if we didn't eat we wouldn't have the energy to fight you, it would be better if we just ate." Sakura explained.

"Hmmm....I suppose I did." Kakashi said, deciding to let the situation slide.

"Now then, you can use kunai and shuriken, remember to come at me with the intention to kill or you won't get a bell." Kakashi advised them seriously. The trio nodded at him, quickly donning serious expressions.

Kakashi looked at the three before nodding to himself, deciding to start the test. "Now then, ready, set, go!"

As soon as Kakashi started the test, the three genin shot off, disappearing into the grove of trees using the Body Flicker Jutsu.

Kakashi noticed that the trio disappeared into the same direction at the same time. He widened his eyes a little. 'Could it be? Did they already figure out the true nature of this test?' Kakashi wondered.

Naruto, Satsuki and Sakura were crouching together while hiding in a bush. They were staring at Kakashi intensely.

"Hey, have you guys ever heard of a three man squad before?" Naruto asked them. Sakura shook her head.

"No, a squad always has three genin and a jonin sensei. It's been like this since forever." Sakura answered.

" Here's a theory, what if he's trying to divide us so we'll fight over who gets the bells? " Satsuki wondered. Naruto shook his head.

" Well, I'm not doing that. That shit's for children. We're shinobi, meaning that we're considered adults so we should act like one. " Naruto replied maturely. The two girls weren't surprised at Naruto's sudden maturity, Naruto can be mature when the situation calls for it.

"We should work together. We have a better chance of obtaining the bells that way." Sakura decided. No one argued with her plan.

Naruto's sweat dropped as he saw Kakashi take out his adult novel and start reading it.

"That guy has no shame. Even I wouldn't read it out in the open." He grumbled.

" Read what, Naruto? "Satsuki asked him. Naruto shook his head.

" Nothing, Satsuki."

"Hazy Genjutsu."

Kakashi widened his eyes as his vision was suddenly blurred dramatically. In addition, it caused him to react as though he's sinking in quicksand, effectively immobilising him.

"Kai!!" Kakashi shouted while clapping his hands together, quickly releasing the Genjutsu. He looked up and saw Naruto and Satsuki standing in front of him while Sakura stood at the back.

'So she casted it, buying time for those two to get down.' Kakashi thought, noticing Sakura holding the tiger hand seal.

Naruto threw a kunai at Kakashi who jumped back casually to dodge it. Suddenly, the kunai Naruto threw was engulfed in a plume of smoke. The smoke quickly cleared, revealing that it was a Shadow Clone of Naruto who transformed itself into a kunai.

The Naruto clone threw a kunai that had an explosive tag attached to it via string. Kakashi smiled a little at Naruto's cleverness before he used the Substitution Jutsu without hand seals.

He was replaced by a tree stump. The flying kunai stuck to the tree stump and an loud explosion followed.

*BOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!*

The three Genin got closer to each other in a triangle formation, not letting their guard down one bit.

"Where is he?" Sakura whispered as Kakashi hasn't showed himself in a minute now. Satsuki looked around.

'Above? No. In the forest? No.' Satsuki widened her eyes as she realized where Kakashi was when she felt a hand grab her right leg.

"Below you. Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu."

Satsuki grunted as she was dragged into the earth, leaving only her head above the surface. The Uchiha looked to see that Naruto and Sakura fell into the same fate as her.

Three Kakashis suddenly appeared in front of them. Two of them disappeared in a plume of smoke, revealing that Kakashi had used the Shadow Clone Jutsu too.

Kakashi smirked under his mask as the three Genin glared at him. "Is that all you three got? What a disappointment." Kakashi commented and raised an eyebrow as the three Genin suddenly smirked at him.

*POOF!!!*

Naruto, Satsuki and Sakura disappeared im plumes of white smoke, revealing that Kakashi had been dealing with Shadow Clones all this time.

Kakashi chuckled as he put his Icha Icha novel back into his hip pouch. He looked at the three empty holes which was previously filled with the three Genin.

"Not bad, Naruto. I should've expected you to use this tactic. Now, what are you and your teammates planning? "
