Ch.2 Lies are made to be told

After checking my status, I closed the status screen. Thinking that they should soon be done with securing the seal I close my eyes and think on my situation. I didn't get to think long, as Minato walked out alone and looked at me seriously.

"Obito." Minato said.

"It seems we need to have a lengthy talk regarding my survival and delayed reappearance." I said seriously as I had time to accept the situation.

"Yes, yes we do." Minato said as he took note of the changes of his student's personality.

Knowing this isn't the best place for a long talk, Minato puts his hand on my shoulder as we appear inside his kitchen.

"Take a seat and explain what exactly happened to you." Minata said as he sat down.

Taking a seat across from him I began to explain my made-up circumstances, "I guess I'll begin with how I survived. Sometime after I was crushed, I woke up inside a cave. I was really confused and worried about Kakashi and Rin, but I couldn't move much at the time. My body had clearly been crushed and while I was unconscious something had treated my body."

"I'm not following, how did you get there?" Minato asked confused.

"I was getting to that." I said as I continued, "Not long after I woke up a black and white creature called Zetsu explained that he saved me. He began to tell me some ridiculous peace plan. Of course, I just acted like I agreed understanding if I didn't, I would be killed. I began to train my mutated body..."

"Mutated body?" Minato interrupted.

"He merged a clone of himself to replace the destroyed half of my body." I explained.

"Oh... I see." Minato responded slightly understanding.

"With my body being so different I had to get used to it. It was weak, different from what I was used to. After getting full control I finally escaped, I ran and ran. The thing I seen next was... was..." I started choking up.

"Was what?" Minato asked worried.

"It was... Kakashi hand through the heart of my crush, Rin. All I felt was rage, I attacked the surrounding shinobi. After calming down I knew my escape along with Rin's death was a conspiracy by Zetsu. I knew I had to become stronger before I could return or risk the lives of the people I cared about." I explained continuing the sad act.

As I spoke, I could see the sadness and anger Minato felt for his students Rin and I. Minato got up from his seat pulled me into a hug and spoke softly, "Welcome back Obito."

"Glad to be back Sensei." I said as I hugged him back but was thinking, 'Sorry but I can't tell you the whole truth. I guess lies were made to be told.'

Breaking the hug I spoke, "I think you should go see your family, it's supposed to be a big day for you."

"Thanks, I'm truly happy you're back." Minato smiled then disappeared with a yellow flash.
