Chapter 67 : Lee Worries

"Master Kai, it's almost time mother going to finish cooking"

Hearing his parrot voice Kai opens his eyes and sees the world looking upside down from his point of view and rock lee that were still training the taijutsu technique not far in front of him with the sky that was getting darker.

Looking around the backyard he didn't see his father's presence anywhere, it seems his father already went inside the home without him knowing.

It looks like he needs to hurry going inside his home and clean himself up first before his mother finishes preparing the dinner.

Stopping his chakra from flowing into his feet, Kai does a swift roll in the air to fix his orientation and land his feet on the ground.

"Let's go Ōmu."

Calling his parrot that was still hanging on the tree, Kai waited until it landed on his shoulder before starting his walk toward rock lee that still diligently continued training the taijutsu technique.

"Lee…, let's go inside, my mother is going to finish preparing for dinner soon."

"You need to clean yourself first before dinner time comes or you might get scolded again."

His voice seems to get ignored with how Lee kept continuing his training but when the part of getting scolded by his mother was mentioned, Lee abruptly stops what he is doing and looks around with an alarmed expression.

He sees Lee who takes a deep breath after making sure that there is no his mother in the vicinity.

"You know you made me panic for a moment, Kai."

"Then let's go, it's almost time for dinner."

Kai continues his walk towards his home after doing his part by remembering Lee's dinner time is almost here.

Lee without any choice but to stop his training and follow him from behind towards his home.

It looks like getting scolded by his mother for the first time has some fear in Lee's heart, even though it has already been quite some time since that thing happened.

He remembered that times when rock lee first stayed overnight over his home he warned lee that still engrossed in his training to stop because dinner time was coming.

He already warned Lee but after getting refused over and over again because Lee stated that he wanted to continue in the training and said that he was also not that hungry yet.

Even though he himself feels really hungry because both of them are already training since the morning sun is not showing and they both only eat a few onigiri during lunch break and occasionally only drink water.

After warning Rock Lee one last time as a good friend's advice, Kai went inside his home and went to his bathroom to clean himself up because he doesn't want to get dragged to the problem and getting scolded by his mother as a consequence.

After cleaning himself up and feeling rejuvenated, Kai went downstairs and met his mother in the kitchen who was already in the process of bringing food to the table.

When he was asked where rock lee was he told the truth to his mother about his conversation with rock lee as a good son and told that lee was not hungry yet and still wanted to continue training.

After that his mother went to the backyard and without need for a long time he heard hurried footsteps in the stairs and his mother who was already back in the kitchen and continued to prepare the food for the table.

He and his father that just recently closed the book about exotic plants act like nothing wrong was happening because we both know that dinner is a must if they are not really doing something really important.

After that night Lee is usually the first to realize that the dining was coming when staying over in his house over the weekend.

But maybe because it is going to be the last day for this month's training, Lee forgot about it and still wanted to be engrossed in his training.

Back to the present they both went upstairs to clean themselves before the dinner was coming.

He used the bathroom in his room where Lee uses the usual guest bathroom in the hallway.

After feeling refreshed Kai came out of his room and with his wide perspective eyes he could see someone was standing in the hallway.

Looking toward it he saw Lee who was staring at the floor with hair that was still quite wet and dripping water to the floors.

When he thought about it he might have already guessed what Lee was thinking with how hard Lee was pushing himself up in the past month they were training and it was almost time the training was ended.

Kai walked closer to the boy who seemed to have a lot of things in his mind even though Lee had just finished showering and that can remove all the stress from people's minds.

When he grabbed his shoulder Lee finally realized that he was already standing in front of him and moved his head from looking to the ground towards him.

"Lee…, You need to trust yourself more."

"I'm just worried Kai, what if Guy-sensei does not continue to train me, even though you have a lot more things to train than me but my progress is slower than you."

Hearing Lee worried himself up because of him even though for his opinion Lee was already showing exceptional determination when training the taijutsu made him question his decision to train together with Lee.

But remembering how serious Lee was when training taijutsu and how Lee became a lot more hardworking because of his presence as something to reach, he thought it was already for the best that they trained taijutsu together.

"What matters is you are already trying your best Lee, don't worry too much about it."

"What matters to my father is your determination and your willingness to keep trying. I'm pretty sure that my father is going to continue training you."

"Let's go, we need to eat dinner and be ready for the next semester exam."
