28 Chapter 27 : Barbecue Party

Next day-

Landing his last kicks to the dummy, Kai finally finished his repeatable task for today.

Feeling a little sweaty and uncomfortable in his clothes, he went inside the house to freshen himself up.

After feeling refreshed after showering, Kai decides for today he is gonna choose a little darker clothes because with the activity that he is gonna do it might get really dirty if he chooses the lighter color one.

Today he has an appointment to take Naruto, Shikamaru, and Choji for a barbecue in the forest to celebrate his enrollment in the academy.

At first he was planning to just do it at yakiniku place but remembering that he was also with Naruto he decided to do the barbecue in the forest.

Maybe he can do the celebration at teuchi place but it's gonna become uncomfortable for all of us because even though teuchi was a really kind guy, his customer might feel disturbed with naruto present.

Feeling quite ready, Kai feeds the bird that now already has his own nest with specialized food that he buys.

After bonding a little more with the baby bird, he goes downstairs to the kitchen where he takes out the meat from the fridge that his mother has already prepared for him since yesterday.

After taking all the condiments and the tools that his mother already prepared for him, Kai went outside of his home and proceeded to the direction of where hokage mountain was.

Walking for a while Kai arrived at the location that they already agreed to meet and saw Naruto, Shikamaru, and Choji were already waiting for him.

"Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji."

"Kai onii-san" x2

"Have you all been waiting long?"

"When me and Choji arrived , Naruto was already present."

"Hehehe…, I have only been waiting since morning." Naruto said while scratching his hair with a smile on his face.

"You must be hungry then, Let's go. I already brought all the ingredients that were needed."

After that all of them start walking to their destination where they're gonna start the barbecue party.

Reaching their destination Kai put down all the tools that were needed and a big box full of meat and other complimentary food.

"Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, can you gather all the firewood that was in the surroundings, I'm gonna prepare the grill and the ingredients."

Kai started preparing the grilling site where the fire was going to be and arranged all the ingredients, including the meat that his mother had been marinating overnight.

After all of the preparation was completed they finally began their barbecue party.

While grilling the meat, Kai began sharing his experiences from the first week of his enrollment at the academy.

"Yes it was quite boring, I always felt sleepy whenever the teacher started explaining things."

"I'm pretty sure when you all enter the academy you're gonna often skip the class or sleep on it."

"But Kai Onii-san, why don't you just skip the class if you are bored." Choji asked him with a mouth that never stops eating the food.

"Don't you forget Choji, Kai was not gonna be brave to do that or auntie Harumi gonna know about it." Shikamaru answered Choji's question before Kai was able to speak.

Even Kai was a little unhappy about Shikamaru's words, but he can't deny the truth about it.

But feeling something wrong on his side, Kai sees Naruto quite downcast when talking about family.

Without wasting time Kai changes the subject of their discussion to the lighter topic, Shikamaru with his bright mind seems to take his cue and follow his lead.

While talking and eating the barbecue with his friends Kai saw a glimpse of movement in the corner of his eyes.

Focusing his eyes to the source, he sees 2 kids with different heights wearing Uchiha style clothing walking to the exit of the forest.

Maybe because feeling someone was staring at him the taller one looked back to where he was at.

The moment the taller one looked back at him, Kai instantly knew who it was especially with the unique line in his face.

He was a little afraid of itachi, in his opinion itachi was too smart to get exploited by tobi or Danzo, so the only reason that itachi did that was because the world itself made him that way.

So after taking a little look at the brother he went back to continue the barbecue again with his friends.

After completing the barbeque party Shikamaru and Choji go home together, where he accompanies Naruto back to his home.
