Chapter 2 - Kite Kubo

[A/N: Yeahhhh I am pretty bad at conversations lmao. Also, in the world (speech, text) Jutsu's will be written in Japanese but in writing (IRL Novel) it will be written in English]

After he was watered and fed, with a calm stomach, he walked outside and took a deep breath of the cold air. C..cold a..air.

His body instinctively tensed up as he scrunched his body together, into a natural heat preserving position until he realised he was not there anymore. He was free. He didn't have to worry any longer. In this New World, he could do anything if he tried. The possibilities were endless.

He relaxed his muscles as he explored the outside world. It was fascinating for him, as it was unlike his previous world. The world wasn't ravaged by pollution and corruption but there was peace. Although, if things continued like he remembered from the series, this was more of a calm before the storm.

If he was going to have any chance of obtaining his desired life, he was going to have to work for it. Thus, he decided to partake in the greatest workout in history!

100 Situps

100 Pushups

100 Squats

10 Km Run

On the first day, he could barely do 30 situps, 10 pushups, 10 squats and a 1km run. A worthy challenge indeed.

For the next 3 weeks he continued with this rigorous training as well as trying the leaf concentration practice to hone his concentration. This consisted of placing a leaf on top of his forehead and directing all his chakra onto that leaf.

He had been making steady gains but couldn't help but wonder what happened to the previous Yu Aomori. He had just stolen his body. What would have happened if he never got reincarnated? What would have happened if he never slipped through that a crack? What would happen if he was never born. He shook off the thought and got back to concentrating on the last few meters of his 4km run.

16 days after arriving in the New World, as always, Yu was partaking in his 10km run. At around 2km, a boy with long white hair and emerald green eyes started jogging beside him. He wore a dark green shirt and navy blue trousers. Under them lay a pair of red shoes with yellow laces. Yu sped up a little bit to see if he could out speed him but the kid kept catching up. He was the same age as Yu so he decided to take the initiative.

"Uh, hello!" Yu said in a cheery manner "My name is Yu, what about you?"

"Kite. Kite Kubo" he responded

"Nice to meet you Kite! Do you normally go on runs?" Yu questioned

"Usually yeah, but today I saw you running and decided to see how fast you were"

"So, did I pass the test?" Yu asked

"You're much faster then I anticipated, I'll give you that!" Kite laughed

"Well, I haaave already ran 2 kilometres sooooo" Yu claimed with a shine in his eyes

"How far do you usually run?" Kite asked

"5ish km" Yu replied

"Woah, I normally cap at 3km" Kite said astonished

They continued conversing as Yu learnt more about Konoha.

"The 3rd Hokage is so cool!" Kite gleefully said "when I grow up i'm going to be the Hokage!"

"Yeah sure" Yu mocked

''I will! Just you wait!" Kite pouted

"Haha wait.. Want to be the Hokage… IS THIS A NARUTO AU!?!" Yu thought "this changes everything…"

"Kite" Yu asked with fear clenching his heart "Do you know who Naruto is?"

"Oh yeah, I saw him a while back" Kite said with a happy face which quickly faded into a confused one "I always wondered why the adults usually avoided him. Come to think of it, isn't he our age? We should befriend him one day!"

On the outside, Yu acted calm and agreed with him but internally he was crying tears of relief. They said their goodbyes and Kite told Yu to visit his house sometime.

As soon as Yu arrived back home he attempted the Leaf Concentration Training. His mother called him down for dinner and he rapidly consumed the roast Chicken. He lept onto his bed, being engulfed by the warmth it provided.

The next day, he got ready to set off to Kite's house. But not before some good ol' breakfast! He attempted to create some standard, delicious pancakes but ended up with some lumps of burnt batter which looked like a deformed ghoul.

After informing his mother that he would visit a friend, he rushed out of the house and began jogging, spinning in circles on the streets of Konoha. He finally reached his destination and knocked on the door.

"Hello!" A cheery voice said from beyond the door before they casually flicked it open "Oh Yu!"

"Hi Kite!" Yu replied "Are your parents here?"

"My Mums off at work at the local restaurant and my Dads is a chuunin!"

"Chuunin? As in a Ninja!" Yu asked bamboozled

"Hehehehe yessir!" Kite gleamed "Anyways, want anything?"

"A glass of water will suffice" Yu said

"Coming right up!" Kite said as he walked to the kitchen after locking the door "Are you going to join the Academy?"

"Yeah, are you" Yu said

"Of course!" Kite responded

Kite presented the glass of water to Yu, leaving Yu to slowly sip on it. Kite began stretching his muscles as he pondered what to do.

"I know!" He thought "I'll show him Dad's bookshelf!"

"Hey Yu!" Kite said "wanna check out my Dad's Books and Scrolls!"

"Books and Scrolls?" Yu asked

"Yeah! Like his Ninja Scrolls!" Kite answered

"Are you even allowed?" Yu said

"I mean, he allows me to read them and others who visit so I guess!" Kite explained "His 'special' books are somewhere else"

"Ah" Yu said understanding

Kite ran off and Yu followed him. They went up the stairs and stood infront of a towering bookshelf. It contained trophied, books, scrolls and more. Kite took a 3 books out and plopped them on the table behind them. They sat on the couches that surrounded the table and slowly opened one of the books.

"Have you learnt any of them?" Yu asked

"I've only learnt the Nawanake no Jutsu" Kite replied

"Teach me" Yu pleaded

"Aight" Kite agreed

From then, Kite showed Yu how to perform the Rope Escape Technique and after a while he was able to use it properly. During this time Kite practiced the Camouflage Technique. Afterwards they both worked on (and played with) their Taijutsu skills.

"Hey Yu! Wanna go eat some Ramen?" Kite said after the strenuous day of training.

"Ramen you say? Of course!" Yu answered

"Let's go!" Kite exclaimed

The 2 boys walked towards a shop famous for their ramen. Although it wasn't a grand, lavish 5 star restaurant, it still had a warm feel. There was one other person who sat on the stools. He had spiky yellow hair and orange clothing.

"What might I get for you boys?" A large man asked Kite and Yu

"I'll get some Miso Ramen" Yu requested after remembering that was Naruto's favourite ramen.

"I'll have a Shoyu Ramen" Kite asked

"Coming right up!" Teuchi smiled

As they waited for their Ramen, Yu looked to the side and saw the yellow hair boy continuing to chomp down on his ramen. Yu immediately recognised him as Naruto.

"Interacting with him right now won't change the future, will it?" He wondered "It's not like this is something completely crazy.."

Before he could make his mind up, the boy asked "Did you order the Miso Ramen?"

"I did" Yu responded

"That's my favourite flavour of Ramen" the boy laughed

"Woah, I never would have known" Yu said as he displayed he incredible acting skills. "What's your name? Mine is Yu Kori!"

"It's Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto said "I'll see you later!"

"Bye!" Yu waved

"Here are your Ramens" the ramen guy told them as Yu and Kite paid for their ramens respectively. "Enjoy!"

Yu and Kite indulged in the sheer deliciousness oozing out of the bowls. The taste coursed through their bodies, leaving a heavenly feel where ever it touched. Their tongues overflowed with flavour as they felt as if they were about to transcend to a higher realm; leaving their mortal bodies behind as, after all, they could not withstand this divine pressure.

"T..très beau!" Yu exclaimed, much to the confusion of everyone who could hear.

"Trebu?" Kite asked "what's that"

"O.oh nothing" Yu stuttered embarrassed.

The duo said their goodbyes as they travelled back to their own homes.
