The Origin

Blood flowed like a river as a young man stood resolutely in the middle of a battlefield, surrounded by the corpses of fallen soldiers. This young man, an army captain, was riddled with bullet wounds, yet he remained standing, driven by an unwavering determination to save the injured soldiers he regarded as his brothers in arms. An orphan, he treated them as his only family.

In his final moments, memories from his childhood flooded his mind. He was born into tragedy, losing his parents in a car accident shortly after his birth. Abandoned by his relatives, he was left at an orphanage that supported his early education.

During high school, he met a girl who became very dear to him, second only to his orphanage guardian. She was a passionate fan of anime, manga, and novels, and she would often bring them to school, motivating him to read and watch alongside her. His journey into this world began with titles like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and many more. However, she eventually left to pursue further studies, leaving him behind.

With only passing grades, his academic prospects were limited. Unable to afford further education, he used what little money he had to take a security exam, which led to his enlistment in the army.

 For 13 years, he served with distinction, saving countless civilians and comrades from bombs and gunfire. Now, as his life ebbed away on the battlefield, he saluted the flag one last time and succumbed to his injuries.

His soul drifted into a white void, where a bright light suddenly appeared. Before him stood a man in white clothes, wearing a warm, compassionate smile.

"Are you God?" the young man asked.

"Yes, my child," the figure replied. "I am the God of Reincarnation. Based on your good deeds, you have accumulated a great amount of karma points. I will allow you to reincarnate into any world of your choosing, except your previous one."

"Can I be reincarnated into an anime world?" the young man asked, hope sparking in his eyes.

"Yes, you may," the God replied.

"And can I have wishes, like the protagonists in fanfics?" he inquired further.

"Yes, my child. Based on your karma points, you may have three wishes. You can choose the world, time, and family for your next life."

The young man thought deeply for a few minutes before responding.

"I want to reincarnate into the world of Naruto," he declared.

"For my wishes:

 I want to have the powers of Escanor.

 I want photographic memory and the ability to analyze other people's abilities

 I want to have a Mirror System that allows me to gain powers by defeating opponents. The Mirror System's time should be consistent with the time before entering it and it should also be able to evolve itself.

"And I wish to be reincarnated as Asuma Sarutobi, one month before the Third Ninja War."

"Done," said the God.

Moments later, he opened his eyes to find himself in a hospital. He was wearing a white robe and a red and white hat. His eyes widened as he recognized Hiruzen Sarutobi standing nearby. Hiruzen, noticing him waking up, left the room. Alone now, he called out in his mind, summoning the system.

"Welcome, Host, to the world of Naruto," a voice said. "I am the System. Through me, you can acquire the abilities of powerful characters. Each character must be completed to unlock a new one. Once a character is complete, it will be integrated into you, allowing you to use their skills. You can also obtain tools from the System Storage, such as swords from the Naruto world, though identical swords cannot exist in the same place."

"Before we proceed, please assign me a name," the system continued.

Reflecting on the name of Asuma's daughter, he said, "I will call you 'Mirai'."

"Thank you, Host, for naming me," Mirai responded. "You have a novice gift pack in storage. Would you like to open it?"

"Yes !," excitedly responded Asuma and immediately he felt the increase in his body and all other capabilities of his whole being elevated rapidly to a whole new levels of power.
