60 Chapter 60: Time-skip

Months passed quickly, Guy got a new team who Naruto and his team met, Naruto wondered if Sasuke would have turned out like Hyuuga Neji if he hadn't saved the Uchiha clan, the boy thought himself to be superior to others simply because of fate, well after he was beaten by three kids younger than him he was shown that fate didn't have anything to do with strength luckily the other two were a lot easier to get along with.

Lee was a training junkie and was quite simply a prodigy at Taijutsu just like Guy was, and Lee was so awestruck by Guy that he decided to become a carbon copy of him, it was interesting to see how similar they were, if Naruto didn't know who Guy was he would assume that Lee was his son, that's how similar they were to each other.

Tenten was also easy to get along with, she was pretty talented at using weapons but she tended to stay at long range a bit too much which was easy to take advantage of, she was a determined kunoichi that wanted to prove that she could become a master of all weapons, Naruto helped her train a bit with different weapons and she took up knowledge like a sponge, the academy really needed to improve the quality of Genin produced if this was the best team, at least that's what Naruto thought.

There were also a few other teams that they met. Still, they didn't meet anyone interesting, time passed quickly as they did missions together and trained on their off time, Naruto was the second oldest of the team with Sasuke being the oldest, and Shino being the youngest.

They were now all 13 years old and the class that they were previously with had just graduated, Naruto had also learned of Dog's true identity, namely that he was Hatake Kakashi, the last remaining student of his father which just made their ties even tighter.

Speaking of his father Naruto had still not figured out a way to keep a chakra construct alive indefinitely, he could do it for maybe a few hours but the sheer requirement of chakra and energy made it impossible, maybe if his and Kurama's chakra grew even larger then perhaps but constantly generating that much would be impossible until he improved the seals.

Oh yeah, Kurama, the Kyuubi, Naruto had become strong enough to be qualified as a Kage, he wouldn't be able to beat someone like Jiraiya, Hiruzen, or A just yet but he would be able to beat the Kage of Suna if he went all out, which included using seals, chakra enhanced food, and abusing shadow clones, but he would still be able to beat Rasa or the new Kage of Takigakure, as the old one had a few months ago in an assassination.

The rewards were quite possibly the best that Naruto could have gotten, Naruto gained basically full access and control of the chakra that the Kyuubi could provide, and because of the control over demonic chakra Naruto would never lose control of himself because of corrupted chakra, and the upgrade ticket was also something incredibly useful, similarly to the skill upgrade card he had received at the end of the Chunin exams, which he still hadn't used it would allow him to upgrade a skill, or in this case anything else, including perks, titles, stats, and even weapons.

Naruto looked at his status, which was in some cases better than even that of the Hokage, and was quite proud of himself, he was merely 13 but could already go toe-to-toe with some of the most powerful people alive, not many could say they had ever achieved that.

Naruto's stats were all around the level of a Kage, Kakashi, for example, had around 350 to 400 in each stat and was level 124, the Hokage was level 193 and had stats all above 500, but also had a few debuffs like muscle atrophy and old age which caused his stats to be reduced by around 25% making him quite a bit weaker.

The only reason why Naruto would be able to win against Kakashi for example is that he held high destructive power, in pure skill and tactics Kakashi was still better, but that would soon change as there were talks about Naruto being promoted to Jonin which would mean he'd be able to take higher risk missions where technique was more important than destructive power.

Naruto was fully capable of doing an infiltration mission, but someone like Kakashi was much more suited for one, simply because they held different specialties.

Shino had also become around the level of a Jonin being level 97 and he had become a lot more lethal, his insect studies and experiments had become a success and now he was able to mix any breed and have them copy their best properties, like his long-range Rinkaichu who were now just as good at absorbing chakra as his Kikaichu were, he was on his way to becoming the master assassin of Konoha and the strongest insect user of the world.

Sasuke had gone through a growth spurt which caused his chakra levels to grow explosively, he had taken up fighting with a sword and had created a few lighting jutsu for himself, his lethality was also quite high, he had started training with Kakashi who had basically taken him on as a student training him in the use of the Sharingan, as a person from outside the clan Kakashi held different views about the uses of a Sharingan and because the Sharingan took such a large toll on his body Kakashi had learned of ways to reduce chakra loss when using the Sharingan which had helped Sasuke a lot, he had also gotten a special sword from his father which would take in chakra and change its nature to whichever one Sasuke wanted which also made him a lot more unpredictable.

Naruto had become a lot better at using Samehada and had even gained a nickname in the bingo book.

The Tailed Beast of Konoha.

Naruto had been sent out on a mission with his team to the borders of the Country of Fire, close to Iwa's border, Jinchuriki were basically the deterrents for war as they caused so much destruction that villages would rather not go to war, but Iwa had broken their alliance and had attacked a few towns on the border of the Country of Fire, of course, Konoha wouldn't let it go so they sent Naruto out to cause as much destruction as possible, this was when he had already become a Kage level ninja so Naruto had much more control of the Kyuubi's chakra, the village council doubted Naruto's strength but after reports came back from what happened and pictures had been taken as proof they had stopped doubting Naruto, if only Naruto had brought a camera to take a picture of Danzo's face, it was hilarious.

Naruto had completely destroyed Iwa's borders and the Genin, Chunin, and Jonin that were stationed there, a few Bijudama's and a few hundred clones cloaked with Kurama's chakra had completely decimated Iwa's forces making his kill count rise by a few hundred, Onoki himself had put a bounty on Naruto's head when he had heard of what happened to his ninja.

Naruto was now an S-rank threat that was hated by Iwa just as much as his father had been, Iwa had not expected such retaliation and had decided to cut their losses and give up on fighting Konoha, for now at least.

Naruto sighed out loud and looked over the village as the sun set, Konoha was truly a beautiful place, and Naruto wanted to keep it like that.

'We'll have to work hard, won't we Kurama?' Naruto thought in his mind, a reply coming almost immediately.

'Well if you plan to make peace in the world you'll have to be stronger than everyone else, so yeah we will have to work hard kid.'
