49 Chapter 49: Chunin Exam Finals (2)

The first fight was between the guy from Iwa and a random guy from Suna.

The Iwa guy, Kuroda, was quite impressive actually, but Naruto didn't want to ruin the fun for himself so he decided not to use observe on anyone.

The fight finished quite quickly as Kuroda used his impressive physique to overpower the Suna genin and won easily.

The second fight was much more interesting, it was between Karui and one of the shinobi from Taki.

The fight was a lot lengthier this time as they both used impressive Kenjutsu to try and win, in the end, Karui's stamina seemed to be greater and she won.

The next fight was between Fu and another ninja from Suna, again, the ninja from Suna was overpowered easily and she won without even using much of her full strength.

The next fight was actually between Naruto and the other ninja from Taki.

Naruto walked down to the stage and stared at the ninja across from him, he was quite lanky, not giving an impression of much strength, but appearances could often be disappointing so Naruto decided to fight seriously.

The referee put his hand up and shouted as he waved it downwards, "Start!"

Chakra gathered around the boy and it was immediately manipulated to try and enter Naruto's chakra system, it was the most basic way of using genjutsu, using your own chakra to manipulate someone else's.

[You have been afflicted by a Genjutsu, Gamer's Mind has been activated and the Genjutsu has been eliminated.]

Naruto grinned, the other boy noticed this and realized his Genjutsu had failed.

Naruto decided to show off a bit, he pulled Samehada off his back and used a skill that amplified his speed by 500% at level 100 called dash.

Naruto seemingly teleported behind the boy and swung Samehada lightly, the boy was launched across the arena and impacted the wall at full force.

The audience seeing this went silent for a second, they were shocked, especially up in the VIP section.

The Raikage's voice sounded out, "Hoh, he's quite fast for a genin."

Hiruzen smiled "Of course, he is one of my best Genin so it is only to be expected."

Meanwhile, the other Kage were clenching their teeth, all for different reasons.

'This brat resembles that bastard too much for this to be a coincidence.' Onoki thought furiously.

'Konoha truly is blessed by talent, if only Gaara was this talented.' The dark thoughts of Rasa reverberated through his mind.

And as for the leader of Taki? He was shocked 'I actually had to strain myself to keep up!'

Naruto was announced the winner and went back up to the waiting area.

He was congratulated by his team and Fu.

The next fight was Sasuke's turn, again he showed off how powerful Konoha's shinobi were and won easily.

The next was Shino who absolutely decimated his opponent leaving many of the crowd cringing in pain as they saw how his enemy was eaten alive by insects, as they ate their way through his opponent's cells, and as his opponent was saved by the Jonin.

Shino won with a single touch, his powers yet again managed to shock the Kage, as they all praised the strength of Konoha's shinobi, albeit a bit lamentably.

The next fight was won by Omoi and the last one was one by a ninja from Suna, it would have been quite disgraceful if Suna didn't even manage to enter the second round of the finals.

In the end, Naruto, Sasuke, Shino, Fu, Omoi, Karui, Kuroda, and the random Genin from Suna passed onto the second round of the finals.

The fights would be much better this time.

The fights were randomized and Sasuke was selected to go first against the random Genin, safe to say he won quite easily, the Genin put up a bit of a fight but Sasuke's fire Ninjutsu easily broke through his defenses, and Sasuke was declared the victor.

The next fight was much more interesting, it was between Fu and Omoi,

The two stood across from each other and spoke to each other before they had to fight.

"Damn, this is really lame, I have to fight a Jinchuriki while Karui gets to relax, well I hope you go easy on me," Omoi said in a depressed tone.

Fu, the ever-friendly girl wanted to cheer Omoi up "Don't worry! I won't beat you up too bad so at least that's good right?"

Sadly this only seemed to make Omoi sadder, luckily before Fu could worsen the situation even further they were given the sign to start.

Omoi immediately became serious as he pulled out his sword and channeled lighting chakra into them.

Fu dashed at Omoi and Kicked out, Omoi seeing the incoming attack did something that surprised even Naruto.

He dodged forward, instead of to the sides where he would be able to effectively counter-attack without losing momentum, instead he dodged past Fu.

Fu quickly turned around, Omoi was facing Fu with his back so Fu decided to try and stab him in the back with a stinger that came out from her hand resembling that of a bee.

Then Omoi did something quite weird again, he successfully managed to swing his sword behind him, catching Fu by surprise and since he swung quite fast Fu got slashed across her right arm.

Blood spewed as Fu jumped backward, she held her right arm and had to jump to the side as several lightning-enhanced kunai impacted the ground where she previously stood.

Omoi took the offensive, he swung his sword and Fu moved to block with a Kunai.

But before she could lightning shocked her entire body, the previous slash that she had received had electricity sparking around it.

She cursed, she had forgotten that Omoi's sword was also enhanced by lighting, this also meant that Omoi could control lightning from a distance.

While Omoi slashed at her throat she managed to recover fast enough to dodge slightly causing the sword to hit her left shoulder.

She decided to get serious, a carapace-like armor surrounded her body and she had wings growing from her back, she flew up and started bombarding Omoi with wind attacks.

While this method was quite underhanded it worked very well as she could easily dodge while being able to attack Omoi, and eventually multiple wind blades managed to hit Omoi cutting through his defenses and leaving him relatively wounded and leaving Fu to be declared as the victor.
