45 Chapter 45: Preparations
Naruto, Sasuke, Shino, and Guy arrived back in Konoha in 2 days' time since they weren't slowed down by anything this time, they were greeted by their families and they all decided to go out to eat together to celebrate their success in managing to reach the finals.
They all had fun together and decided to head home once it was late at night.
Naruto entered his apartment, he had long sensed the person inside but since he knew who it was and was actually happy to see the man.
"Hello there Naruto." Dog greeted Naruto.
"Hey, there Dog!" Naruto greeted back happily.
"Congrats on passing the Chunin exams, I am proud of you Naruto." Dog smiled under his mask.
"Thanks! But I still need to train hard since I want to catch up with you and the other Jonin." Naruto smirked.
Dog hit Naruto on the head playfully, "You're still a few years too young for that, maybe in the future." Dog joked and then turned serious "On that note though, the Hokage has told me to inform you that he has found a person to train you to prepare you for the Chunin exams, you are to meet him tomorrow at 6 at the entrance of the hot springs." Dog said.
Naruto nodded and then they started talking about the things that happened in the Chunin exams, eventually, Dog was forced to leave as he was still on duty and had already spent a bit too much time with Naruto.
The night passed quickly as Naruto meditated and 6 AM quickly arrived as Naruto prepared to leave.
He walked to the hot springs at a casual pace and didn't sense anyone nearby so he decided to wait on one of the red bridges that went over the river that surrounded the hot springs.
"Ho? So the old man called me back to train you?" An aged voice sounded out behind Naruto.
Naruto turned around, he was surprised since he couldn't sense the person behind him nor did he hear him approach, and when he turned around he was surprised, even more, he was standing face to face with one of the most legendary shinobi of Konoha.
"Jiraiya of the Sannin." Naruto said.
"Ho~? It seems like I am still quite popular. You are correct kid, I am Jiraiya the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myoboku!" Jiraiya shouted out while doing a weird dance.
Jiraiya was a very tall ninja when you compared him to the average ninja standing at 6'3 and was built heavily with strong muscles, age only seemed to affect his face.
"Oi, brat you thinking of something rude?" Jiraiya asked with an annoyed face.
"I'm not. So you're supposed to train me for the next month?" Naruto replied with a rigid face.
Jiraiya's brows twitched and spoke, "Well I never said that I would train you, simply that I would check you out but you will need to convince me in order for me to even consider training you."
Naruto hummed "I can guarantee you that I can master any jutsu you show me regardless of difficulty." Naruto said seriously.
Jiraiya's eyebrow quirked "I seriously doubt that kid, but sure, if you manage to learn the jutsu I am about to show you in under a week I promise you that I will train you for 1 month." As Jiraiya said this he stuck out his hand.
Naruto started sensing the formation of chakra seriously, even if it was just a month being trained by one of the Sannin would be extremely beneficial to him so he was being very serious.
Chakra started spiraling in all directions before it was strengthened and then condensed by Jiraiya, in a show of pure chakra control a spiraling ball of pure condensed chakra formed in Jiraiya's hand, it gave off enough power to make the wind spiral around it.
Naruto was amazed, but he was smirking on the inside, it seemed that Jiraiya was underestimating him a bit too much, his chakra sensing allowed him to see the exact way how to form it so now all he needed was to recreate those steps, the Gamer System would do the rest of the work.
"Now kid the jutsu's name is Rasengan, it was created by one of my students and is an A rank Ninjutsu, so good luck learning it," Jiraiya said, almost convinced of his victory.
Before he left though Naruto stuck out his hand, Naruto had mastered leaf concentration, and tree walking and had recently mastered water walking, so this would probably be one of the last steps to mastering chakra control.
Chakra started to slowly gather in his hand as he made it spiral in all directions, he then drastically increased the output and density of the chakra he was releasing, sweat slowly started dripping down his forehead as he focused.
The chakra slowly started condensing into a solid ball of spiraling chakra.
A dark blue ball of chakra slowly formed in Naruto's hand and he eventually heard the sound he was waiting for.

Description: The Rasengan is a spinning ball of chakra formed and held in the palm of the user's hand, which is only known to a handful of shinobi, the more chakra you charge into it the stronger it becomes.
Requirement: 2500 chakra minimum]
As soon as Naruto heard the notification from the system the Rasengan in his hand stabilized and formed successfully, albeit slightly weaker than that of Jiraiya's.
"I did it, Jiraiya-sensei," Naruto said while smirking.
'T-This kid! He just mastered a jutsu that took me 3 months to master in a single try!' Jiraiya thought to himself.
Jiraiya laughed to himself audibly causing Naruto to look at him weirdly.
"Oi! Old man, have you gone crazy or something?" Naruto asked.
"BAHAHA Kid! It seems I underestimated you too much! But I, as the Sage of Mount Myoboku never go back on my word so I will take you in as my student for 1 month." Jiraiya said.
They agreed to meet in the forest near the hot springs the following day at the same time as Jiraiya had to do some preparation before he could start teaching Naruto.
Jiraiya arrived outside of the Hokage office and entered through the window.
The annoyed voice of the Hokage rang out "Jiraiya, how many times have I told you to enter through the door like everyone else?"
"Oi sensei, you never told me the kid would be that talented," Jiraiya said with a serious voice making the Hokage serious as well.
"Why what happened? The Hokage asked.
"The kid managed to master the Rasengan in a single try, while you told me that he was quite talented I didn't expect this, he reminds me too much of Minato and he is even more talented than him, could he be the one?" Jiraiya asked the Hokage with a somber tone, he never quite got over the death of his student so whenever he talked about him his mood always worsened.
The Hokage sighed as he looked out the window and looked over Konoha "He may be, he may be, but we will know with time, for now, you should tell him who you are, he has already figured out who he is, and who his parents are so he may forgive you, Naruto isn't a petty person, he looks at all situations with almost cold logic and only lets his emotions alter his decisions once he is certain that it benefits him, so if you can possibly come up with a good excuse then he may be less angry with you, but I leave that up to you, Jiraiya."
