38 Chapter 38 - Fúinjutsu

Sukuna sat in a lotus position with his eyes closed until he heard Kushina screaming, making him furrow his brows as he listened, 

''Minato! Our child was shunned and left alone his entire life and you want him to go with the man that caused it all?!'' Kushina yelled in anger as Minato smiled bitterly, 

''Kushina, you have seen Naruto's memories. We don't know what he would do to Naruto for the Nine Tails'' 

''So what?! I can just help him move the Nine Tails to him! Anything is better than with Hiruzen!'' Kushina said while biting her lips as Minato firmly retorted, 

''You can't! With your current remaining chakra, you can't make proper seals in the first place and besides that, it is clear how ruthless he is! It is a danger to the village!'' 

''Have you lost your mind Minato? You want our child to suffer more?!'' Kushina grabbed his collar as Minato said, 

''Although I don't want to, I trust he can control the power one day'' 

''And just wait for that?! Let him live in more loneliness and solitude? What is more important to you, your child or the village?!'' Kushina said as her hands trembled in anger. 

''Kushina, it's not that I think Naruto is less important than the village, far from that. But we would be talking about putting the lives of millions of people at risk'' Minato said with a bitter smile as Kushina began laughing, 

''I see, so that is more important to you.... Some kind of hero you are'' 

Minato flinched as Kushina turned towards the flustered Naruto and said, ''Naruto, what do you want. We go with whatever you choose'' 

Naruto opened his mouths and was visibly flustered as he wanted to talk but no words came out. 

''Don't put the kid on the spot like that Kushina-san'' Sukuna's bitter tone entered the fray as they turned their gazes towards him as he walked over with an unsteady pace, clearly exhausted from straining their spirits for a longer duration. 

''I didn't bring him hear to talk about the Nine Tails, I just wanted to know Naruto's decision after he spoke to you'' Sukuna said as he put a hand on Naruto's head. 

The two looked at him as Minato spoke up, ''What are you planning to do with the Nine Tails?'' 

''You of all people should know very well that there are forces in this world that would want to see it burn. To prevent that, I need power. I'm pretty sure that you already know I have the Eight Tails and the Three Tails, the One Tails' Jinchuuriki is also held captive in my clan at the moment'' Sukuna said as he sighed, he couldn't show them some of his memories since he was already using his power to keep them here.... 

''Held captive?'' Kushina asked with a frown on her face. 

''Yes, I don't have a way to take the Tailed Beast from him without killing him. That is why I wanted to ask you if you had a way Kushina-san'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile. 

Minato wanted to tell her to refuse, but she merely glared at him to shut him up before she asked, ''In that case I want you to promise something'' 

Sukuna looked at her in interest and waited for to continue. 

''I will give you some of the Uzumaki Sealing Techniques if you let Naruto live with the Senju's'' Kushina said in a serious tone which cause Minato to grimace as he spoke up, 

''Kushina, don't be impulsive!'' 

Kushina ignored him and just at Sukuna who lightly smiled and shrugged said, ''You should ask the child that'' 

''Can I?!'' Naruto said in excitement before toning down quickly. Sukuna looked at him with a light smile as he ruffled his head, causing Naruto to jump away and look at him in 'anger' as he fixed his hair. 

''You can choose, you can live in my place or the house next to my compound. Many of them are still free because they want to make my compound bigger for some reason. Like 15 bedrooms aren't enough or something'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile on his face. 

''I...i can have my own house? Does it have a garden?!'' Naruto jumped up as Sukuna grinned, 

''It has its own trainings field as well'' 

Naruto's eyes shone as he said, ''I want to live on my ow- OUCH!'' Naruto grimaced as he felt his head before looking at Kushina with puppy eyes. 

''You're forgetting something....'' Kushina said with a vein popping on her forehead while holding up her fist as Naruto's mind clicked, 

''Ah! Thank you very much!'' Naruto said as he bowed forward towards Sukuna with an excited smile on his face. 

''Sukuna-san, do you mind telling me something?'' Minato interrupted as he looked at Sukuna with a cold expression who looked at him with a nonchalant expression. 

''The girl that was with you, the one helping you walk over to Naruto's place. What is her name....'' 

Sukuna's body slightly shook as he looked at Minato with slight respect and said, ''You already know what her name is'' 

Both Minato's and Kushina's body trembled as they repeated, ''How....?'' 

''I can't tell you that'' Sukuna said seriously, he knew Kushina wouldn't leak it since Naruto would be placed directly under his care, but Minato's stance on everything seemed quite clear.... 

Sukuna could feel the hostility coming from him, which wasn't that weird if you thought about it. Minato was practically raised by Hiruzen who raised him into his successor. 

There were even rumors that Minato had called Hiruzen father a few times. 

''I see'' Minato said coldly as he turned towards Kushina, ''I still want him to go with Hiruzen, it's safer'' 

''Heh'' Kushina sneered with clear anger on her face as she said, ''You're just angry he tarnished the legacy of your adoptive father, you want to ruin his plans at the cost of your own son's future. Don't even think about it!'' 

''That isn't it Kushina! I just.....'' Minato wanted to say something but didn't, but Kushina finished his sentence for him. 

''Don't trust him? Ofcourse you don't, but atleast in Naruto's memories you could see he kept his word and ruled his clan with kindness. If Naruto can be in such an environment, I don't care if the whole fucking world burns!'' Kushina said in a rage-filled voice as she remembered how she sacrificed herself for her village, yet the person she entrusted her child to had left him in a state of poverty, loneliness, embarrassment and suffering. 

''Kushina....'' 

''ENOUGH! I don't want to hear about it, if you still support Hiruzen after what he has done against our son then you can go join him for all I care. I just want Naruto to be happy'' Kushina said and didn't bother looking at Minato any longer as she turned her gaze to Sukuna. 

She walked closer to him and closed her eyes, her finger slowly moved towards his forehead as multiple black lines emerged from her finger. 

The moment it touched Sukuna's forehead, he felt as if multiple scrolls were stuffed into his brain. 

Kushina looked at him with a light smile and said, "I trust you to keep your word'' 

''Don't worry, I will treat him as if he was my own child'' Sukuna said with a light smile as he rubbed Naruto's hair again, making him hiss in annoyance as he retorted, 

''Why are you acting as if you're adopting me! You're younger than me!'' 

''Huh?'' Minato's eyebrows raised as Kushina's loud shocked voice sounded through the are as she looked at him with an incredulous expression, 

''HAAHH?!'' 

Sukuna smiled bitterly and looked at Naruto, ''But every child in the clan, now the village, I see as my own'' 

''Pfff... So you're a child acting as an adult huh?'' Kushina laughed as she rubbed his hair instead, however, as she moved her head once, Sukuna's eyes grew brighter as he suddenly disappeared at an insane speed to a dozen meters backwards. 

Kushina looked at him with a questioning gaze while Naruto and Minato were curious as to why Sukuna's expression turned so frantic all of a sudden. 

''Sorry, just not used to that kind of treatment'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile as he composed himself. 

He lied. 

''I see, sorry if I made you uncomfortable'' Kushina said with a mixed smile. 

''It seems our time is up'' Minato sighed as he looked at his hand that was slowly disappearing as he spread his arms towards Naruto who tightly hugged him with tears streaming down his face. 

Kushina looked at her own body in confusion as it wasn't disappearing. 

She didn't hesitate and hugged Naruto and Minato as well as Minato slowly started to disappear, Minato turned translucent and gave a complicated gaze towards Sukuna who didn't look at him but seemed to be thinking. 

As Minato disappeared, the two looked visibly downcast before Kushina sighed deeply as she hugged Naruto one last time and said, ''It seems that it is time to go'' 

''Mom....'' Naruto started crying again as he hugged her tightly. After a few minutes, she tapped his back and said with a sad smile, ''Don't worry, I will always be watching'' 

''Mmm, I will take good care of myself! I will become the Hokage one day and make everyone acknowledge me!'' Naruto said as his own body started to disappear. 

''Mmm! That is my son!'' Kushina smiled brightly as Naruto slowly disappeared as well. 

''It seems that you can't hold out for much longer'' Kushina said as she looked at Sukuna whose eyes were starting to bleed. 

''Indeed, but I want to make you a proposal. We don't have much time'' Sukuna said seriously. 

''What kind of proposal?'' Kushina asked with a confused expression. 

''Seal yourself within my mind space where I sealed the Tailed Beast. That way you can see the child whenever you want to. In return, help me learn Fúinjutsu'' Sukuna said seriously. 

''You know about the Life Link Seal?'' Kushina asked in horror as only Mito should've known about it. 

''Yes'' Sukuna said as his expression grew pale. 

''But that would drain your life-force twice as fast as before!'' Kushina said frantically as Sukuna grew paler by the second. 

''Stop mumbling and do it already! I'm confident it won't affect me in the long term so please just hurry up before I won't even have a thing called life-force!'' Sukuna said frantically as his body ached. 

Kushina was momentarily stunned but couldn't help but give in to the temptation of seeing her child grow up. 

''In that case, I'm sorry'' Kushina gritted her teeth and started making handseals before pushing her soft hands on Sukuna's chest as black marks started to appear on his body before her body disappeared. 

… 

''How was your sleep?'' Tsunade asked with a grin as she saw Sukuna open his eyes. His hand moved and flicked her forehead, causing her head to fling back from the unexpected power behind it. 

''Had to test if it wasn't a nightmare'' Sukuna said nonchalantly as Tsunade felt her heart burn in anger for a second. 

''You coming home?'' Sukuna smiled at Naruto who had also just woken up. 

''I'm on my way!'' Naruto yelled happily as he dashed inside and grabbed some spare stuff under everyone's confused expression. 

''He is moving in next to me, get someone to change the name plate on the front gate for him'' Sukuna said to Sumure who nodded with a light smile and grinned at Hiruzen who wanted to say something. 

''Hiruzen, Asuma, this is the last time I will show you mercy. Leave before the sun comes up or be buried in the village'' Sukuna said coldly as Hiruzen shivered with a defeated look on his face. 

It seemed as if he had aged a dozen years in the span of a day as he sighed and walked away, the clan members hidden behind the masks gave Sukuna one last look of hatred before following after him. 

''Now, let's go home'' Sukuna sighed and stretched out an arm towards Rin who blushed behind the mask as she helped him up. 

''I'm ready too!'' Naruto came running out with a small bag and a happy grin on his face. 

Sukuna smiled lightly and ruffled his hair before a jealous sigh ran through his mind. 

{Are you envious?} 

{A little, but after reading through your memories, I doubt it would be long} Kushina's sweet voice sounded through his mind as he laughed. 

''Is something funny?'' Tsunade asked with a confused expression, causing Sukuna to grin and answer, 

''Your face'' 

''You fucking brat!''
