The World After Death
The world was no longer as it was before. Though it was still too far-fetched to claim that life was gone, it was easily said that in the least, morals were. Those who held high positions in the government bought their way to the top. Their tongues hung from their lips like savaged dogs with only money, greed, and power in their eyes.
Underneath the foundation of nations, the truth was that a war was brewing, and the citizens whose lives would be sacrificed were none the wiser of their forced fate.
With the launch of a full-body VR set by the name of VR Office, gamers and consumers alike were engulfed in an addiction of virtual reality. Released by a company called EOI, the only game made compatible with the Office was “After World”.
Those who were skilled quickly made a name for themselves, and those who weren't played whatever methods possible to rank among the best.
If only those kids knew how much they would regret that choice. All contenders within the top class were forcibly recruited into a game where there would be no second chances.
They would learn that in reality, war was no playing field, and death remained permanent
