122 To the Hozuki Castle

"Madara Uchiha"

As soon as Yoriichi uttered those words, every member of the rescue team had sweat dripping from fear.

They have heard the tails of the Legendary Uchiha, Madara. The one who could rival the God of Shinobi Hashirama Senju.

There are rumors that he can summon a large being made of Chakra. But no one believes this rumor outside of the higher-ups in the village who know the truth and Yorrichi who knows that the large being is in fact Madara's Susanno and what he is actually capable of.

'Oh great, It looks like I won't be having a peaceful nap for some time now or maybe never.' Kaito sighed in his mind thinking about how he might come face to face with Madara freaking Uchiha.

He knew that he did not have a chance against him. Their hope was only for Yoriichi to stall Madara while they would rescue Genkai.

Chino was excited to fight against a Uchiha. She heard from the elders of the clan that Uchiha were the ones who had made the Chinoike clan escape from the land of lightning.

They had to seclude themself and suffer in isolation without proper food and water because of this.

However, they did not hold any grudges against Uchiha since they now knew that it was a mission that was given to them by the wife of the Damiyo of the land of lightning because of Jealousy. But she still wanted to show the Uchiha their place.

If only she knew what monster Madara Uchiha was.

Kakazu though was dreaming that if he could get Madara's bounty, he would be able to quit his bounty hunting business which he still did even when he was part of the Uzushiogakure village.

However, he was not delusional as Chino as he had fought Hashirama and he was defeated in less than 10 seconds and could not even scratch him. Madara was a being at the same level as Hashirama and he knew alone, he stood no chance against him.

Jiro did not know much about Madara, the only thing he knew was that he was super strong.

But with Yoriichi there, they felt safe.

'Why would Madara make a move against Genkai? Or is he targeting the Uzushiogakure village as a whole since the Uzumaki supported Senju and not the Uchiha in the warring states period? If there was another clan that was responsible for killing most Uchiha after Senju then that clan is the Uzumaki clan. Is this the reason why Genkai was not a known figure in the anime and the reason why he could not protect Uzushiogakure because Madara killed him way before even the first shinobi war?'

'So does that mean that he has already met black Zetsu and has already started his plan? No no that can't be right, in the anime black Zetsu revealed himself to Madara after Madara resurrected himself using Izanagi as Madara's will. My interruption in the timeline should not have changed this.'

'Even if it's him, I don't think that he could stop Genkai from teleporting and running away without his Rinnegan. Hmm, but his mangekyo sharingan abilities were never displayed or revealed so one of those abilities could be a spatial lock kinda thingy.'

'But Madara is arrogant, he would not set up a trap for a shinobi no matter who he is and how strong the person is. He would rather storm the village and kill the person. It would go against his pride to set up a trap. After all, it was his famous dialogue 'What kind of adult goes full force against children.'' Yoriichi concluded that the one behind all of this was not Madara.

But the question still remained then Who?

The rescue team reached the land of grass and disguised themselves to find clues.

"Have you found anything? I have got nothing." Yoriichi asked

Everyone shook their heads except Kaito.

"Did not you guys notice the lower amount of Kusagakure shinobi around the different towns? They have less than 5 shinobi stationed in every town. There is not even a Jonin present. The highest ranking person in the town is a chunin." Kaito said

"I did notice that but I did not pay attention to this fact." Yoriichi said as everyone nodded

"So where have the Kusagukakure shinobi gone to? Are not they afraid of bandit or rogue shinobi attacks on this town?"

"I don't know about that but I have found out that most of these shinibos have gone towards the east." Kaito said as he took out a map.

"To the east is the Hozuki castle aka the prison which is supposed to be the destination of Genkai sensei and his team. In his last message, he did mention that he was going to go there that day." Kaito said

No one interrupted him as Kaito continued his theory "This means that Kusagakure knows what happened to Genkai sensei and his team and is trying their best to help them to prevent going into conflict with our village or they are responsible for what happened to Genkai sensei and required the entire manpower of their village to deal with him."

"We don't know if Kusagakure is our enemy or ally right now. So we are not going to expose ourselves to them. All our answers await us at the Hozuki castle. Let's go."

All five of them departed towards the Hozuki castle where something shocking was waiting for them.
