Journey Continues

Genkai checked up with Hiromi and Hisame who had done their job perfectly by eliminating the Hozuki clan shinobi as well as healing the cloud shinobi.

The cloud shinobi also realized by now why were the pirates no longer attacking their ship since they were all probably death.

The cloud shinobi thanked Genkai for saving them and helping them deal with the enemy shinobi.

"Sensei, I think we should still be on guard as I have not encountered any jonin level ninja who should have spearheaded this mission." Hisame said

Before Genkai could answer, Yoriichi appeared on the ship with storage scrolls in his hands.

"I encountered a hozuki clan member. I don't know whether he was a jonin or not. He appeared quite weak." Yoriichi said as he began counting the money in the storage scrolls.

The others looked at each other before Genkai asked "Did you at least bring his body?"

"Ah yes, here" Yoriichi tossed the scroll that the body of the Hozuki shinobi.

After taking out his body, Genkai checked if he was in the bingo book.

"Ah looks like we found the leader of this ambush. He is a jonin from Mist who was declared rogue by Mist just last month. He has a bounty of 5 million ryo." Genkai read out the details of the man from the bingo book.

As soon as Yoriichi heard the dead body was worth 5 million he snatched it from Genkai's hand and put it in another storage scroll.

Everyone including the Cloud shinobi were stupefied to see his greediness especially from the heir of the uzumaki clan and the grandson of the Uzukage.

Genkai was truly angry right now. Yoriichi's actions were now affecting the mission.

"Yoriichi, You should give the body back. The cloud shinobi would surely want to investigate this matter." Genkai said a little irritated.

"Then they should pay me 6 million ryo for the body." Yorrichi replied not at all worried about Genkai's tone. In his opinion, every extra money was more funds for Uzu, they would need funds during war times or for research purposes or even buying supplies.

Well and maybe for gambling but he was only going to gamble with his friends and family. That would keep the money within Uzushiogakure.

"6 million? But is not the bounty of the Hozuki for 5 million Ryo?" The cloud jonin asked

"I had a lot of trouble dealing with the jonin Hozuki. He even injured me. The extra one million is for my medical treatment." Yoriichi said without an ounce of shame.

'What trouble? What injury? What medical treatment? Bullshit! You don't appear to have been in any trouble. You don't even have a single scratch on your body or your clothes. You even have an Uzumaki healing branch medical nin with you who can heal most of the wounds easily.' The Kumo shinobi thought.

But they could not say anything as the Uzu team has helped them and have saved their lives. They looked at Genkai with puppy eyes.

"Yoriichi that's enough. I am going to tell about your irresponsible behavior to Uzukage san." Genkai warned him but Yoriichi just snorted as he said "Hmph, He is even more greedier than me, he would surely support my decision."

Genkai did not doubt Yoriichi's words as he knew the Uzukage was even greedier than his grandson. He even had lowered his salary by a bit. Genkai was still grumpy about that fact.

"Then I would tell your mom." Genkai knew Hanako was the voice of reason in Yoriichi's family but he forgot one crucial fact.

"Huh, do you think my mom would scold her little cute baby for taking some pocket money from the kumo folks. You must be delusional." Yoriichi said with a smirk.

Genkai couldn't argue on this either. He looked at the Kumo shinobi and shook his head as if to say 'You are on your own bud. I tried my best. There is nothing more I could do.'

Kumo shinobi were now in a dilemma as they could not make a decision on what to do. In the end the kumo jonin said "Since You are already coming with us to Kumo, You can talk about this with the Raikage. I am sure he would be offering you a good compensation for your troubles. We would be sure to tell him about what happened here. Does this work with you?"

To their relief, Yoriichi nodded.

"Perfect, We will repair the damages from the ship before sailing to the land of lightning." The kumo jonin said before assigning everyone their duties.

The Uzu team was now left alone in their cabin. Yoriichi got back to counting his loot.

Hiromi though was curious about something.

"Genkai sensei, The kiri nin was a missing shinobi that would mean he was a criminal from kiri. Does not that mean he was working by himself and not on kiri orders?" she asked

Hearing her question, Genkai chuckled a little as he said "Looks like you have still a lot to learn about politics Hiromi. He has been declared a spy so that even if we or kumo blame kiri, they could say that he was working on his own and the kiri had no hand in it. But it's an old tactic and no one would believe it. Still, the villages won't be able to take action against Kiri with this."

Understanding dawned on Hiromi while Genkai looked at Yoriichi still counting money with a sigh as the ship started to move to the land of lightning.
