Grandpa's Reward

We received our head bands the next day.It had the Uzumaki clan symbol in it which was the symbol for the whole village. A total of 20 students become genins including me. These were the genins who will get elite jonins Sensei and kage sensei in some special cases.

There were a total of 120 students in my year out of which 20 became shinobi with elite Jonin sensei and the remaining 12 participants of tournaments also became a genin after they were deemed strong enough to become a Shinobi and were given a Jonin sensei.

Everyone who participated in the tournament was going to be a genin since they were the best of year and it was just a motivation for the students to perform better. If not, Kaito would have probably slept the whole tournament without bothering to participate in it.

Out of the remaining 88 students, 48 students failed and had to continue the academy for another year. 20 of the remaining 40 were given a chunin sensei and the remaining 20 were given a choice to become a genin without any sensei or to continue the academy and try next year again.

Anyways, Once the tournament got over, Everyone congratulated me. Uncle Hashi and Aunt Mito asked me to come to Konoha to visit them. I promised them that I would visit them soon. They even gave me some gifts. Uncle Hashi gave me A-rank Earth golem jutsu while aunt Mito gave me some special ink and paper for fuinjutsu.

Mom, dad, grandma and uncle also congratulated me and we held a party at night the same day.

Now it was time for grandpa's gift.

Grandpa first congratulated me, then I asked what's my gift.

"Are not you an excited one?" Grandpa said

"Have you heard about Hashirama's announcement about the Kage summit in 3 months held in the land of grass?"

"Yes, I answered."

'In the original Naruto, the first kage summit would have been held 6-7 years ago. But in this world, It's being held right now.'

"This is something I am telling you which is confidential so don't tell other people about it as only the upper echelon of the village knows about it."

"In the kage summit in 3 months, Hashirama will divide the 9 tailed beasts between villages."

"Each kage is allowed to take 4 people as escorts with them except the Hokage himself. My gift to you is that I will take you with me to this summit, if you will be willing to come with me? There might be some conflict so keep that in mind."

"Yessss, I want to go with you grandpa." I agreed without wasting any time. You ask why? Didn't you hear him say that there will be conflict and conflict means battle and that means for me to kick some ass baby.

"Haha, I like your enthusiasm kid. Very well, I will be taking you with me. Be sure to protect your dear old grandpa hahaha"

"Don't worry grandpa, no one would be able to touch even a single hair on your head with me there. I will slice them into pieces." I said with an evil grin.

Then suddenly I had a question.

"What tailed beasts are we getting grandpa?"

Well, In the anime, Uzushiogakure didn't get any tailed beast. Hashirama gave a tailed beast to Takigakure ( village hidden in waterfall ) but did not give any Biju to Uzumaki clan who were supposed to be konoha's friends.

Not having a tailed beast was maybe one of the reason for the village destruction. Since a tailed beast acts as a deterrent to prevent other villages from attacking it.

"Well, Since our village is growing in strength, we will make many enemies in the future so I asked Hashirama to give us atleast 2 tailed beasts which he initially disagreed but after I told him how he stole my daughter from me and how the sealing techniques he used to seal the tailed beasts were given to him by us and how much his nephew will hate him once he knows that his dear Uncle Hashi didn't do anything to protect the village where he lives, he reluctantly agreed."

'Grandpa is really learning the dao of shamelessness. But it's good that now we will have our own jinchurikis. Along with that comes the risk of a rampaging tailed beast but with the Uzumaki clan here it wouldn't be that much of a risk.'

"Hashirama was initially planning to give the 7-tailed beast to the village hidden in waterfall but now he is giving it to us and the other tailed beast will be one between 3- tails or 6 tails which was going to be given to mist village."

"We are going to discuss in the conference which beast we will get, the Mizukage would probably reject the idea of giving us the tailed beast but he will have to agree eventually since he wasn't the one to catch those beasts but it was my son in law and he has no right in this matter. In fact he should be grateful to Hashirama and us for giving him an opportunity to have a tailed beast."

'So we will definitely be getting two tailed beasts. If uncle Hashi just kept all the tailed beasts in Konoha there wouldn't have been any great ninja wars but then there would be internal war in Konoha for the possession of the beasts. I can't complain since Uzushiogakure is getting tailed beasts.'

"Grandpa, if I am not wrong, tailed beasts would have to be sealed inside a human as a vessel who is called a jinchuriki. Who will be the jinchuriki of these tailed beasts then?"

"Oh well we haven't decided it yet." Grandpa said

"Grandpa I don't know about the other tailed beast but I have a suggestion for the seven tails jinchuriki." I said

"Oh who do you have in mind Yoriichi?"

"Itsuki"

"But he is just a kid. I don't think giving him this burden will be good. His life will be in constant danger. Besides he might just not agree." Grandpa said rejecting my suggestion but I didn't give up.

"Itsuki is mature enough grandpa. Besides, With me and Genkai Sensei he would be safe for a long time until he gets strong enough.

I have read somewhere that the seven tails resembles a rhinoceros beetle which is an insect and Itsuki loves insects and insects love him. He is the most likely person to become friends with seven tails." I said

"Friends with a tailed beasts? Is that even possible? Anyways fine we will make Itsuki the jinchuriki of seven tails if only he agrees."

"Yesss, Thankyou grandpa. Don't worry I will surely convince him."
