22 Going to academy

Yoriichi P.O.V

"Yoriichi! Yoriichi! Wake up, you will be late for class!" A voice yells out.

I groan as I sit up, rubbing my eyes. "Yeah yeah, I'm awake." I grumble as I get dressed and head downstairs.

"Morning mom." I says as I sit down at the table. Hanako puts a plate of food infront of me "You should eat and head out, after all todays your first day at academy."

I nod and begin to scarf down my food. "Alright I'm off" I said as I run off towards the academy. Hanako smiled and waves, thinking back to when she became a Shinobi there was nothing like an academy but just war. She began to think back to the night Yoriichi was born, when everything for them had changed.

After running I finally arrive at the academy.

It was pretty big. The academy had 5 classes every year but there are only students in the first 3 years since the academy just started 3 years ago. There were various training grounds with some students practicing taijutsu and shurinken throwing.

I walked to the teachers area where the teacher will meet me and take me to the class and introduce me since I am new as I joined directly in the second year.

I saw a red haired man there waiting for me.

"You must be Yoriichi , I was expecting you. My name is Daisuke Uzumaki. You can call me Daisuke Sensei from today. Now let's go to the

class."

When we reach the class, He opens the door to the classroom and all the noise settled down.

"Alright listen up class!" Daisuke Sensei shouted

"We have a new student who will be joining you all from today."

With that I enter the classroom and all eyes turned to me.

I began to introduce myself

"My name is Yoriichi Uzumaki.I'm like a diamond – bright, beautiful and full of sparkle. I will be the strongest in the shinobi world and will be the next God of Shinobi. Don't worry though, if I like you, you can be my subordinate,I mean my friend. And if you think I am not strong enough, you are welcome to challenge me so that I can kick your ass. After kicking your ass, I will chop you up and eat you."

I look to the kids and some of them had a scared look on their faces

"Don't be scared now, I was just joking with you all." I smiled and said

They had a relieved look at this but that changed with my next sentence

"I won't be eating you. I will just cut you apart and then feed you to the fishes."

They all have me a weird look with that I went to take a seat.

I know I might have sound weird and a little cocky. But this is just the real me. I don't want to hide my personality even if they don't like it. I want to make some real friends since i didn't have any friends in my previous life. I know it's kind of weird for a 45 year old to be friends with kids but these kids will grow up too you know. I can't be going and making friends with 30 year olds while being a 6 year old. Besides most of them are orphans or from civilian families, they need someone to rely on and I will be that person and in return I will get loyal subordinates, ugh I mean friends. 'Stupid brain'

I heard someone whispering "Is not he the grandson of Uzukage? I heard he is a genius. He was the one that introduced the concept of the academy in the village."

I smirked and puffed my chest but that smirk quickly went away from my face as soon as I heard

"Are you sure about that? He looks a little crazy in the head to me."

'Just you wait brat and pray that you don't have a spar with me or else I will show you how crazy I am.'

While Daisuke Sensei was giving the lesson which I already knew about it.

I looked at my classmates. There were 30 students in the class including me. There were 7 form Uzumaki clan, 3 from yuki clan, 4 from Eizen clan, 2 from Hoshikagi clan, 3 from Chinoike clan, 3 from Kurama clan and the rest were not from any clans. Not all of these 8 students were from civilian families or civilian ninja families.

There were some from merchant families and kids from Damiyo families or nobles from various countries. They were not only in my class but in most of the classes in the academy. These people wanted their kids to become shinobi. They consider having a Shinobi in their family as a status symbol.

At first the village refused these people since they knew these students would leave the village after becoming shinobi. But the merchant and Damiyos offered a large sum of money as donations to the village. So the village agreed.

The merchants even shifted to Uzushiogakure and traded from here. This led to rise in trade in the village and lots of new goods. While kids from Damiyos family were required to serve as a Shinobi in the village for 15 years and afterwards if they wanted to leave, they can leave. They will be not allowed to divulge any details of their missions which they did during their tenure as a Shinobi. They also would not be allowed to join any other shinobi village as a Shinobi. If done so, they would be considered a traitor and hunted down by the village.

You might want to know why other villages didn't copy the idea of academy from Uzushiogakure, it's not like there is something called copyright in the shinobi world, well because they simply couldn't.

Konoha, Iwa and Kumo still had various infighting inside the village. In konoha, most of uchiha and senju still hated each other, it's similar for many other clans which were previously enemies but now live in the same village. This case was similar in Iwa and kumo.

While in mist, the shinobi clans didn't want to give more power to civilian clans and the civilians in general. So they rejected the idea of an academy as that would lead to more civilian shinobis.

And as for Suna, they were facing issues of drought and famine so they were focusing their resources on acquiring food and water. They didn't have any luxury to set up an academy in these times .

While I was thinking about all this, the class got over. Daisuke Sensei said "You all have a break for an hour afterwards you will have a class on fuinjutsu. Dismiss "

Well that's my reason for other villages not copying the academy idea . Also some might think MC was acting childish or being weird but I made him like this because we'll what's so much fun about serious MCs all they do is train and all .MC's should be a little bit silly too. An overpowered mc with a serious attitude would be boring but a playful attitude would be cool and fun to read. Just look at Gojo.
