120 Emergency Mission

Yoriichi continued on his way to Kakazu's main body seeing that no more black threads were hindering his path.

'Damn it, he seems to have a counter for everything I throw at him. Leave it, Let's just hope that I live to see the next day.' Kakazu thought as he placed all his focus on defending.

'Fourth Fang: Slice 'n' Dice'

Yoriichi delivered multiple diagonal double slashes with both of his swords coated with chakra to cut the multiple layers of black threads protecting Kakazu.

Although he managed to cut multiple layers of them, there were still many layers protecting Kakazu and the threads he had cut already were already repairing themselves.

Of course, to repair them, Kakazu had to use his chakra.

Yoriichi changed the grip of his swords.

'Sixth Fang: Palisade Bite'

He released simultaneous slashes with both his swords from both directions in a saw-like movement at a very fast speed. Cutting through layers upon layers of Kakazu's defense.

When he was at the last layer, he again changed the grip of his swords.

'Second Fang: Slice'

He unleashes a double chakra slash in an X-shaped cut form, slicing through the final layer of his defense.

As the swords hit Kakazu's body, sparks flew out due to Kakazu using his iron-skin jutsu.

But Kakazu's defense managed to hold on as the grip of the swords again changed.

'First Fang: Pierce'

He pierced through Kakazu's defense in an instant, destroying two of his hearts simultaneously.

He stopped himself from destroying more of his hearts as Kakazu heaved a sigh.

"You have improved. You are much harder to kill now." Yoriichi said satisfied with both his new breathing form as well as Kakazu's improvement.

"Says the man who was just two sword slashes away from killing me," Kakazu said as put the good-quality hearts back into his body.

Yoriichi was about to reply but stopped as a jonin informant of Ashira arrived at the training ground.

"Lord Uzukage has summoned you to his office. It's urgent. Please be quick" the Jonin shinobi informed him as Yoriichi nodded.

"He... He is also required to be present." The Jonin awkwardly looked at Kakazu who was replacing his hearts. Saying that, he left.

"It must be really important since he asked us to be present urgently. Gear up Kakazu, It looks like you will have your first mission with me today." Yoriichi said as Kakazu nodded.

After a few minutes, both Yoriichi and Kakazu arrived near the kage building.

When Yoriichi walked inside the Uzukage office, He was surprised to see Kaito, Chino and Jiro present inside the office along with Ashira.

"You three are also here?" Yoriichi asked surprised to see his former Genin teammates.

"Yoriichi, It's you! Where have you been these days? You promised to take me to barbeque every month but you never came. I even visited your house but you were not there either. I will never talk to you again now. Hmph!" Jiro cutely pouted and snorted.

"Ohh, I was just busy training. But I promise to take you to barbeque twice a month." Yoriichi said as he hugged Jiro.

"Let's Spar., Yoriichi! Let me show you my new jutsu." Chino said pumped up

"What a pain in the ass! I was peacefully sleeping watching the clouds but now I have to deal with so much noise." Kaito muttered

"It's good to meet you guys too," Yoriichi said sarcastically.

"It seems like everyone is here," Ashira said who was ignored by everyone except Kakazu who was waiting for Ashira to brief him about his mission so he could get his mission reward as soon as possible.

"I have an emergency mission for you all. You would all have to go to Kusagakure to find out about the status of Genkai and his team and provide backup if required." Ashira said in a solemn voice.

Everyone was shocked to know that it was their sensei that needed help.

"Genkai had been given an A-Rank mission to transport some rogue shinobis to the Hozuki castle." Ashira continued

"Why are not they being kept in our prison?" Kaito asked

"During the Kage summit that was held last year, It was decided that after interrogation, rogue shinobis that do not belong to the village that has captured them have to transfer them to the Hozuki castle which is in the land of Grass. The village hidden in the grass for keeping the prisoners gets paid a hefty amount by the other villages." Ashira saif

"Genkai along with two jonins and six chunins took a total of 6 prisoners. We know they reached Kusagakure since Genkai constantly gave us reports. But we lost contact with him and his squad soon. His last report was that they were going to take the prisoners to the Hozuki clan today. And it was two days ago."

"Usually we would wait for a week before sending a recovery team but since Genkai always sends his reports on time. We decided to send you just in case."

"So our mission is to check up on Genkai sensei's team and help him if he is in some kind of trouble?" Chino asked

"Yes. Genkai is like a son to me. Do whatever you must do. I don't care if a war breaks out between us and the Kusagakure. I don't care if you slaughter your way into the village. I want the shinobi of my village to come back home safely. Understood?" Ashira asked to which all the present nodded and collectively shouted "Yes sir"
