Assassin Of The Mist

"Naruto, stop hitting her," Kakashi said to Naruto, who was getting ready to hit Sakura again. He then looked at Tazuna and said, "Well, I suppose it can't be helped. We will continue to protect you, at least until you reach your village."

"I won," Tazuna thought as soon as he heard Kakashi agreeing to escort and protect him, though he didn't know he was destined to die. You can't call someone who thinks they exist above the heavens short and imbecile.

"Well, let's continue walking then," Kakashi said to Team 7, who, to be honest, weren't really all that excited about this mission anymore.

"Pathetic," Naruto thought. Even though going to the Land of Waves was his plan, he still found it pathetic to act so good. In his past life, if someone lied to Naruto, he would cut off that bastard's tongue and kill his entire family in front of him before killing him too.

He tended to kill his enemies' families as well since he didn't want anyone vowing revenge and coming after him. You can think of it as not just destroying the root of the problem, but also the entire ground so no other problem could arise.

Four Hours Later

"We just have to cross the Sea of Whirlpools now, and we'll be able to reach the Land of Waves," Tazuna said as soon as he saw the sea.

It was named after the Land of Whirlpools when the Uzumaki clan used to rule the land now ruled by the Land of Waves. After their destruction, Konoha named it the Sea of Whirlpools to honor the Uzumaki clan.

Soon they spotted a transportation boat and got on it to cross the sea. For Sasuke and Sakura, it was thrilling as it was their first time going out of Konoha and to another village. But Naruto was indifferent. He had been in the Land of Waves in his past life, and it didn't end well. The entire land was killed by him in a one-sided massacre as he wanted to find the treasures of the Uzumaki clan.

"What a thick mist, I can't even see anything ahead of us," Sakura exclaimed to herself. Just half an hour after getting on the boat and sailing towards the Land of Waves, the entire boat was covered in mist.

"We should be able to see the bridge soon. The Land of Waves is at the bottom of the bridge," the sailor said as he slowed down the boat to avoid being noticed by Gato's shinobi.

Soon the boat crossed under the bridge and stopped at the edge of the Land of Waves. "This is as far as I can go. Take care of yourselves," the sailor said as Team 7 and Tazuna left his boat and set foot on the ground.

"Thanks. For such a risky task, I shouldn't have asked it," Tazuna said before paying the sailor for his services.

"Okay! Get me home safely now," Tazuna said to Kakashi and Team 7, his tone growing more bossy, which irritated Sasuke and Naruto.

"Yeah, yeah," Kakashi replied in a bored and annoyed tone.

"There's bound to be another attack, and it won't be mere Chunin but Jonin. Sigh," Kakashi thought.

As they continued walking towards Tazuna's home, Kakashi suddenly sensed something and yelled, "EVERYONE, GET DOWN!"

A massive blade came hurtling towards them, spinning like a helicopter. Sasuke dropped to the ground, copying Kakashi, while Sakura helped Tazuna get down. Naruto, walking behind everyone and out of the blade's range, stood like a chad, watching them.

The blade embedded itself in a tree in front of Kakashi. A man appeared, standing on its handle with his back to Kakashi.

"Well, well, if it isn't Momochi Zabuza, the boy who ran away from the Hidden Mist," Kakashi said, recognizing the man.

"If I have to face him, it better be like this," Kakashi thought, lifting his headband to reveal his Sharingan.

"You appear to be Kakashi of the Sharingan," Zabuza said, turning slightly to see Kakashi. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you surrender that old man to me?"

"Sharingan!?" Sasuke thought, shocked and surprised. He knew only Uchiha were supposed to have the Sharingan, and Kakashi didn't seem to be an Uchiha.

"Assume the manji battle formation and protect Tazuna-san," Kakashi ordered Team 7. "All of you stay out of the fight. That's the kind of teamwork this situation demands."

"And now, Zabuza, shall we?" Kakashi said, looking directly into Zabuza's eyes with his Sharingan.

"Ah, I already get to fight the Sharingan. What an honor," Zabuza said in a carefree tone, confident enough to kill Kakashi. "Let's end all the talking. I have to kill that old man, but Kakashi, it seems I need to kill you first," Zabuza said, disappearing and reappearing on the surface of a small lake nearby.

"Over there! And is he walking on water?" Sakura yelled as she spotted Zabuza.

"The finest of the ninja arts! The Hidden Mist Jutsu," Zabuza yelled, performing his jutsu and soon covering the entire area in mist.

"There are eight places I can attack: liver, kidney, heart, brain, neck, lungs, spine, clavicle vein. Which one should I go for?" Zabuza mocked Kakashi.

"What a pathetic bloodlust," Naruto thought, unfazed by Zabuza's killing intent. While it was enough to scare Sasuke and Sakura, it didn't affect a demon like Naruto, who had killed 44% of the world's population in his past life by his own hands.

Comparing Zabuza's bloodlust to Naruto's was like comparing a banana to a tailed beast—they weren't even in the same category.

"Sasuke, don't be scared. I will protect you even if it costs me my life," Kakashi said as he sensed Sasuke's fear in the face of Zabuza's bloodlust.

"It's over!" Zabuza yelled, appearing behind Tazuna to strike, but Kakashi intercepted and stabbed Zabuza in the stomach.

"Sensei! Behind you!" Sakura yelled, seeing another Zabuza appear behind Kakashi as the one he stabbed turned into water. As the new Zabuza slashed Kakashi in half, it also turned into water.

"My Water Clone Jutsu!" Zabuza thought, shocked that Kakashi had copied his technique so effortlessly.

"Don't move," Kakashi said, appearing behind Zabuza with a kunai to his neck.

"You too," Zabuza's real body whispered behind Kakashi, as the one Kakashi had a kunai on turned into water. Zabuza then threw Kakashi into the small lake and pursued him.

"Is this water... heavy?" Kakashi thought, struggling to swim in it.

"Heh! Fool," Zabuza mocked before yelling, "Water Prison Jutsu!" A ball of water surrounded Kakashi, trapping him inside.

"Heh-heh, this prison is inescapable. You are trapped in the jutsu of the assassin of the mist," Zabuza gloated. "It's time to kill those brats now," he said, summoning a water clone since he needed to maintain the water prison.

"Take Tazuna and run away! You can't beat Zabuza!" Kakashi yelled at Team 7 as he saw Zabuza create a water clone.

"Let's start with the midget one," Zabuza's water clone said, attempting to kick Naruto, only to have his kick blocked by a multitude of Naruto's shadow clones.

"What did you just call me?" Naruto said coldly, and at this moment, Zabuza should have realized he had messed up.

Naruto's clones swarmed Zabuza's clone. "Chatterbox, I've been hearing you yap for the past ten minutes. Tell me honestly, you're the silent assin of the mist, right?" Naruto mocked.

"Let's see how you deal with this," Naruto said as he took out a shuriken from his bag and threw it towards Zabuza, but something was off about it.

"Something like this won't work against me," Zabuza said as he caught the large shuriken thrown at him by Naruto, only to find another large shuriken in the shadow of the one he caught.

He jumped to dodge it since he couldn't use his other hand because if he did, Kakashi would be free.

But as soon as he jumped, both shurikens turned out to be Naruto's clones, who quickly transformed into their real forms.

"Keep yapping, Ass of the Mist," the clone that had turned into the shuriken below Zabuza said before stabbing Zabuza's balls with his kunai, and not just stabbed it.

But pushed it all the way inside his body though his balls, while the second clone pushed his fingers into Zabuza's eyes and crushed them.

Well, it was part of Naruto's plan all along. He had turned two of his clones into shurikens when he summoned shadow clones to stop Zabuza's water clone's kick. He was just waiting for Zabuza to fall for his trick and get his groin stabbed.

To be honest, Naruto had this habit of destroying people's groins from his past life. When he was a 10-year-old child, he kind of found out that if he attacked the enemy's groin, they would most likely die.

So he was like, "You get your groin destroyed, you get your groin destroyed, everyone gets their groin destroyed." Not exactly but you get the idea.

"B-But I am a woman," and after hearing this, Naruto was like, "Doesn't matter."

Naruto wasn't really discriminative when it came to killing his enemies. Although he didn't believe in equal rights, equal fights, he instead believed in equal rights, one-sided fights, and obviously, he was the one doing the one-sided fight.

But suddenly, many ice spikes came toward Naruto's two clones, killing them instantly.

It was Haku, who had just seen his entire world, his master Zabuza, get killed by a brat.

"Well, well, look what time it is: bloodline stealing time," Naruto thought to himself as soon as he saw Haku use his ice release.
